I was an English major, too, in secondary education!!! But now, I teach third grade! They asked me a couple days ago to teach HS English, but I turned it down!!!

I finished work on time - yay! Of course, I started quite early in order to do so - lol. I'm trying to qualify for the editing jobs - took a test earlier today. I haven't heard back as of yet, but I'm hoping I passed - I was an English major, after all. Well - I've tried to catch up here, but will not be able to catch up completely. Sorry if I missed some posts! I hope you know that that I think of my Christmas friends often (um...that would be YOU!)...especially when I'm thinking/dreaming about Christmas (which is quite often, I might add :-D)!

I've had the song "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" stuck in my head all afternoon/evening! Now...that's a pretty terrific song to get stuck in my head! Try not to whistle or hum (or even sing) a song that's stuck in your head. Ya...its difficult not to. Its trickier when you are at work and people might figure out what you are whistling/humming. Hehehehe!!!

I've been listening to MCR while on MMC. I cannot help but smile!

When my (family kids) get on my nerves, I start singing "It's a Small World"! It drives them crazy!!!

I have been forbidden to sing, hum or whistle Christmas songs when I am transporting Lindsay to Toronto.
She said I cannot do any of it before her birthday....which is on the 28th of this month!!! :dance::dance:

Both sides seem to look whats good to get them re-elected and not good for whom they represent. That's just my opinion.

Today was a VERY long day for some reason.. Busy busy at work.. but the clocked seem to tick backwards!
After thee work day was over, I decided to go and eradicate the english ivy thriving outside on the whole outer perimeter of my humble abode... Turns out I only felt like doing around the front of the fence hahaha :) the rest can wait for another day! My lovely boyfriend made ribs tonight for dinner... and they were the bomb. SO good!! Said they weren't his best.. but I begged to differ haha.

All in all today was a good day. I cannot STOP thinking about christmas for the life of me!! Perhaps I shall watch some of the... Grinch!

I majored in both English and History. I did think about getting a teaching certificate, but I didn't want to get it at SVSU. U of M cost too much, but that is where I was planning on going as the program was quicker, but life intervened and I shelved my plans. I'm still thinking about getting my Master's degree, but right now the cost is too high and I don't want to get a loan out until the economy is better. I may work now, but I don't feel secure enough to take even one class a semester. I think teaching HS English would be fun and scary!

Good morning, MMC!

It is cloudy and foggy out this morning. Bo had me up at a little after one as a storm was way off in the distance. I turned the light on for him, patted him on the head and went back to sleep. Slept off and on until a little while ago - much better sleep than yesterday. Yay!

Not sure if I am having lunch with friends or working today. Either way, it is sure to be a fun and interesting day!
