The ER doctor said that she basically didn't know and sent my sister home. She said that she could see that something was going on in the blood work but didn't know what. I am beginning to think that the doctors at my local hospital are incompetent.

Good monday morning everyone!!! well hopefully going to have a walk to the park today if these clouds blow over, looks like rain. I think here in the uk our summer has ended!!!!
Not looking forward to work later, I hate mondays, the weekend staff are so lazy the place is always a mess when I go in on a monday!!

Good for your mom! I often wonder why they do not get anyone else in to check when they cannot find out what is wrong with someone.
Hope all goes well with her and they soon find the cause of this.

We are back from our Summer Vacation in France and we had a great time.

Last night I was picking up my daughter from work at 11 and passing a building near downtown noticed that there was a bunch of smoke on top of it. This is an older building so I first thought chimney, but no, it was all over the roof and getting thicker and there was a glow along with it. So I call 911 to get the fire department down there. By the time they get there the smoke is gone, as is the glow that came with it.
I showed them where I saw this happening.
Just then he gets a call on his radio...they are filming something on the roof that included a scene with a smoke machine!
I apologized for having them come for no reason and he told me it was ok, they were happy it was nothing and I was right to call when I saw the smoke. (we don't get much excitement here, they probably just liked getting out for awhile!)

I've been thinking about what kind of things we'll do this year... my parents recently divorced so things are different now, new traditions, etc. What does everyone do on Christmas Eve DAY? I feel like I don't "utilize" that day enough.
