Good afternoon, Christmas family!
It is a partly cloudy, breezy day here in Mid-Michigan. I did a lot of errands earlier and am now home for the rest of the day. I have a kitchen to clean and lots of stuff that needs to be put away and organized. Soon I will be putting on a pot of chicken and peppers. There will be garlic mashed potatoes, zucchini and mushrooms and sliced tomatoes as sides. I just might make some buttermilk biscuits, too.

Wasn't able to pick up the sleigh today, it won't fit in the minivan, maybe next Sunday. I got a nice up close view of it today, and boy is it in rough shape, but it will be a project to get it to "fly" again. It will look good in the future store for sure. I got to go make a pot of chili for dinner, mmmm mmmmm! Enjoy your evening.

Bradmac and Crown- It looks like the NHC has shifted the path of Irene further east and the more reliable models are showing it hitting from GA to NC. I'll be praying that it fizzles out before it heads your way.

My brother just gave me two plastic grocery bags full of vegetables: zucchini, 5 different varieties of peppers, crookneck squash and cucumbers. I see chocolate zucchini bread in my future :grin:
Dinner is almost ready. After I eat I still have a few things to put away before I can relax for the evening. I am almost done with book 4 in the Jane Arnold mystery series by Rita Mae Brown. I intend to finish that one and start book 5.

Well, the birthday party went GREAT today. It was a little chaotic with trying to help 10 four year olds with bowling, but it was a lot of fun.
I've been spending the evening on pinterest since getting home and can't wait to play with it some more! I am pretty sure that any time that I was not already wasting on the computer will now be officially wasted. If anyone else is on there, I'd love to follow you - just send me a link for your page!

DH has colonoscopy and endoscopy on Tuesday, so tomorrow he can only have jello and clear liquid fluids. Poor guy! I need to plan something special for dinner on Tuesday when he can finally eat again. Any suggestions?
I'll be getting ready this week to start the Houseworks Holiday Plan. Man my house REALLY needs the work. Is anyone else doing a holiday prep plan this year? I could use a buddy to keep me on track.

I LOVE Redding!!! Went to California about 2 years ago.. and my family and I stayed there.. LOVED it!
Good early evening, everyone. We just got back from our Elks meeting. Breakfast at IHOP was great, and the meeting went well. We shopped for a few groceries and picked up four different Jack Daniels marinades. We bought a small turkey breast which hubby will grill on the outside rotisserie grill. I am off to do some professional reading and then watch some TV. Have a great evening. Also, is anyone else have problems getting on to realthanksgiving.com?
Your are right. The view of Mt. Shasta and Mt. Lassen are awesome. There is still snow on both of them. Were you able to go to the Sundial Bridge?

Wow I have certainly neglected MMC for the past week! And Man do I ever have a load of posts to catch up on hahaha.. oopsies!
Apparently yesterday was supposed to be the hottest & last day of summer weather here.. so so far.. the weather man is right.. its very cloudy.. but still warm out. yesterday was Brutal. I hid inside until about 830 at night hahaha...
