Good Morning MMC,
I will have a long long Day with a lot of things to do and to think about.
I got up to early for this long day. I have a bad cough. So I could not sleep long
My stepdaughter is moving about 400 miles away to the University. She is starting to study biotechnology. And so I have a lot to do. We are driving tonight with a car trailer. and it will be very exhausting.

Hi Christmas friends!

I am happy to say that this is the first day since we've been home that I haven't been completely stressed out. The basement is drying up nicely, everything that wasn't already in plastic bins now is, we've finally unpacked, and things are being cleaned up that hadn't been cleaned since we got home.

Tomorrow, we are going to a wedding for one of Travis' cousins...it doesn't start until 5 and probably will go until 11, and I have to go back to work Monday at 6am! Who knows how long we'll stay...never been to a Sunday wedding before!

I will also be thinking of everything that happened 10 years ago...can't believe it's been so long already. :(

Take care, everyone!

It's nice too hear that you aren't as stressed today!! and I also have never been to a sunday wedding before.. seems like an odd day to have a wedding.. since people usually like to par-tay at those shindigs hahaha... Hope it's fun for you!

God (or whichever higher power you believe in:) ) bless America, Tomorrow we remember heroes, friends, family, Wives, Husbands etc.. Whom were lost in such a tragic way. May peace find those left behind!!

Good day everyone! I can't believe it has been 10 years since 9/11 but it has. today brings back so many memories of that day,I can remember feeling so angry after I realized the attacks were intentional meant to kill as many innocent victims as possible. I remember begging to be deployed and soon enough I was. I am trying to not to preach a sermon! I will simply say God bless America, and the victims of not only 9/11 in America but also the victims of the England bombings in London,Also In Italy and Spain and Africa. and the USS COLE back in 2000.The soldiers, marines,Sailers and Airmen who have lost thier lives fighting for our freedom!!!

Will you ever go to sleep is more the issue.
(Only Carl and Bing know for sure.)
Very true! =)
Hey friends! Just popping in to say hi! Not even getting to sit around and read...big family weekend. About to head out, but just wanted to stick my head in and tell everyone to enjoy their weekend! I will be here first thing in the morning for coffee, read to boards, and watch some NFL football!
Go Cowboys!!!!!!!!
We had a great homily at Mass tonight, honoring and remembering 9/11. We have the TV on right now watching the special of that infamous day and the wonderful outpouring of caring and love from everyone involved. I have to leave every so often because it is so hard to relieve that day.
I agree. Do we ever get use to those horrible images? It's so depressing to think about. =(

I get to trap a cat today! We have a stray female cat that will be picked up today to get fixed. There is a non profit organization here that helps out with the stray cat population problem. We have already had 6 cats picked up. They neuter them, get their shots and release them back.

We have one cat left to be trapped. We call her, Mama, simple name but having kittens is what she does best and she keeps having them! She is the only one that is leery of everything and will not come near people. We were afraid we would never get her trapped. I set up the trap yesterday and we kept trapping the ones that have already been fixed. We would release them and FINALLY Mama walked right into the trap, ate all the food in there and WALKED BACK OUT! The trap door was stuck! At least I know she is not scared of it and I am going to attempt it again today.

They are strays but my neighbor and I take care of them, feed them, give them water and medicine if they need it. I have 2 cats of my own but they always stay inside.

Wish me luck!!!!!

Have a blessed day everyone. Prayers are with those who suffered the tragedy of 9/11.

Here it was afternoon, and I was driving my car to and evening class at school...

My thoughts and prayers are with the 9/11 victims and their family's....

Good morning, MMC!

I have been remembering and praying a lot this morning

It is going to be a quiet day here as I need to take care of home matters before work starts again tomorrow. I think some Christmas jazz music is in order.

Have a Blessed day, my friends and family ((((HUGS))))

Remembering 9-11
It has been 10 years and we can all remember the images of that day and where we were at the time.
My prayers are with those whose lives were so changed on that day.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:43-44).

Our thoughts and prayers are with ALL of those who have been affected by acts of hatred and terrorism around the world. Not just on 9-11-01 but for ALL days. I was asleep when the towers went down because I worked night shift. The person who drove me to work called to say that the place I worked was closed for roughly a week due to what was happening. I asked what she meant and she asked if I had been asleep under a rock. Nope just sleeping. Turned on the TV and all I and my ex-hubby could say was , "OMG all those poor people." We both rushed to a nearby blood center and donated blood and made a monetary donation. It was the least we could do at the time.
Those images and events of that day and the days that follwoed will always be etched in my mind. May none of us ever forget.......nor should we let those who came after not know what happened and where we were.

Bon Matin, Mes Amis!
(Did I get my French right?)

Wake up and smell le tea, monsieurs and mademoiselles.

Now hear this:
Days to the Season: 63
Days to Christmas Day: 105
Folks! Only five more days until 100-day mark to Christmas!

Bright, calm and very sunny here this morning in the capital city where we stand at another nicely walkable 68 degrees.
It should continue to be nice and dry with low humidity through most of next week.
Excellent!

You have a Super Sunday, Friends!
And may the light of the Season brighten your path.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

In the midst of recognizing the effects of 9/11 on all of us, I was struck by how beautiful the weather is today. Try as evil might, it will never prevail.

We are lunch for Mrs. Hilda (another first!), and I'm already hungry.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

A beautiful day here but solemn, as we remember 9/11/01. I have no profound words for the occasion, just the echo of fear, and the pain of the loss of so many innocent people, and thoughts of their courage and humanity.

Mr. has to work from home today, so I think I'll make some spaghetti and meatballs later on. His favorite sauce was Spatini (a spaghetti sauce mix), which was unavailable for a long time, but is available again (but in huge food-service packs). We're looking forward to enjoying some again.

Thanks! The damage at my parents' is a bit worse, but it seems the things I was really concerned about keeping are salvageable. We do have to throw some things away, but luckily they're things that we just hadn't managed to throw away up til now. So I'm happy to say it's (nearly) all good. =)

I'm glad to hear that you didn't lose as much as you thought you might, especially the things you were most concerned about. I hope the rest of the weekend is more pleasant and less hectic for you!

At least I know she is not scared of it and I am going to attempt it again today.

I couldn't help wondering ... after she's trapped and "fixed," will you change Mama's name??

I don't remember where I was or what I was doing exactly ten years ago since I was in the 2nd grade, but I do know that my thoughts go out to every victim's family tonight.
Have a good Sunday, everyone.

This is the cutest cat! I laughed so hard when she stuck out her tongue!! Also love the paw prints spelling out hello!

Take care during the storm!

Morning, friends. Hope this day finds you doing well and enjoying your Sunday. Yesterday, we attended my brother's wedding and it was wonderful! Great ceremony. Very small, private, intimate. Loved it.

Today, NFL starts and for Ballcoach, it's a big day.....

but before that day begins.....

I want to tell gabulldawg thanks for all that he does....and the sacrifices he (as well as all in the forces) makes in the name of our freedom and security.....

and while our lives will never be the same as they were 10 years and 1 day ago...

I think we pay the fallen tribute best by remembering them and living life and letting it be all that it was intended.....
