The school's policy is that they will only allow prescription medicines to be distributed. You can't bring any OTC meds into the school. I can understand that with pills but not something like an anti itch cream.

Pills are totally understandable... But the cream has me stumped :(

Good morning everyone....I would like to ask that you all say a quick prayer for my sister. She lives in Texas like 1000 miles away from me...and she was suppose to have routine surgery this morning but before they could start it she began vomiting blood and she stopped breathing which is confusing to me because I thought everyone was a a respirator during that time..anyways I feel helpless because I don't know how accurate and complete my mom is being with me. SHe is in the ICU unit until they find out what is wrong with her...TIA Christmas family...

Oh dawg, I pray your sister is okay! How scary! Bless her, you and your family!

awe shucks, totally missed out on the pines tonight!

On the bright side, applied to a trucking company that my friend works at to try and get a job as a driver of straight truck / van. This is much more to my liking than the big semi truck that wanted me our 24/7.
The smaller trucks will have me home most nights, occasionally I will be over night somewhere. Most trips will take me to Detroit, Chicago and Ottawa areas.

Nervous about it because I so need a good paying job, but also have a lot less experience that what they are wanting.

Will keep you posted.

Have a good night everyone!

Good luck!!

Well my niece's allergic reaction keeps getting worse. She has come home from school the last 2 days because it has been itching so much. The School won't give her any over the counter medicines and the doctors won't give her a prescription because she just had a 500mg dose of steroids. My sister is trying to get her in the allergist before they go down for her next infusion next week. On top of all that my nephew had a boy in his classroom come down with chickenpox so my sister has call the RA doctor to let him know. With all of the different medicines she's on it limits her immune system and she needs to be treated if she comes in any kind of contact with it.

This is the arm she got the IV in and her face is all broke out too.

I will keep her in my thoughts.

wow, what a terrible commute back from Toronto today! Crawling on the 401 at only 40 - 60 kms! (regular speed is 100km)Took us 3 hours for a trip that usually lasts for only 1 1/2 hours.

Then I had to head to London and get my daughter who is working this weekend here. (another 2 hours)

But, now I am home, tired, 2 cakes baking so they can be iced in the morning for delivery.

For some reason I am tired....think I will go to bed as soon as they come out of the oven.

Dark and rainy today, after the Red Sox's BIG LOSS. In our "film room" we have a big plush penguin and a Wimpy doll that both wear Red Sox hats during the season. Now comes the sad time of taking off their caps and putting them away for next year.

The Sox have made me sick with their September performance. :x

Another Countdown tradition---The last few days before Christmas, members who have been chosen by Crown each write a special post for their assigned day.
Close.
Actually, the special posts are for the 5 days preceding the start of the Season (Nov 13).
I don't choose the people, they volunteer. First come - first selected.

Take a peek at last year's Countdown thread starting with November 8 for an idea of what it's like.
It's become quite a beautiful and sentimental tradition that we all look forward to each year in the final days before the start of the Christmas Season.
(Gets me a bit misty-eyed just thinking about it.)

Oops ... I stand corrected. Sorry!

Hi MMC family! I worked 7-3:30 today. Ugh...not my thing. Since I was off for so long, they wanted me to work on the computer system for a few hours on the maternity department. I did that, plus worked on the Medical-Surgical unit. That part of the hospital was very busy. So...I am tired needless to say. I am also very tired because I've really only got 9 hours of sleep in the past 36 hours or so. Hopefully I can at least get 5 to 6 hours tonight. We'll see. I will get caught up on here tomorrow. Just wanted to check in. I did see people posting on here about praying for Ella. I appreciate it greatly. Well...off to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow!

Good evening,

I finally figured out my outdoor lights this year, I am going with LED C7's across the roof line, I went to the store and will be buying a box of lights every week I get paid until I have enough for the roof. I went to the register with my box of lights, the cashier looked at the lights, looked at me, and said "really, I won't tell anyone." I laughed and said I don't care I wanna be like Clark Griswold, I love Christmas. It was quite funny. Busy day otherwise today.

Have a great night!

:yahoo:

Looking for a 2012 calendar? Cannot think of what to buy for a few people on your list?

A friend of mine is selling a scenic calendar on his website. The shots were all taken by him around my hometown of Sault Ste. Marie. He is a fantastic photographer. Apologies for the plug. Just want to see what you all think... And, well, I don't know where else to put this...

Brent! I love those pictures, they're amazing! I especially like the picture of the Northern Lights...one day I would love to see them. I think they're so awesome and out-of-this-world!!!

The Sox's 7/20 September had a lot to do with wtf happened. The story of last night's game is here. We were ahead until the ninth, then they started hitting off of Pap---two doubles and a single. We lost + the Rays won = end of season. It's gonna be a long October in New England ...

I don't even want to read that article...so mad! They do this so often and it's so frustrating...what's even worse is the Braves did the same thing!!! So both my teams, plus the local team that I root for (the Orioles) aren't in the playoffs, so I'm going to root for the PIRATES! That's right...the freakin' PIRATES are in the playoffs, but no Braves or BoSox! The world of sports is going nuts in 2011! lol

I laughed and said I don't care I wanna be like Clark Griswold, I love Christmas.

Just make sure you have the Hallelujah Chorus playing when you plug them all in! That's one of my favorite parts of the movie! <3

YABBA! C O F F E E!

Special posts....man....that makes it real! I love those 5 days! (Saying man in general....like....dude....)

Loved the "story," Lauriebear!

LOVE IT!!!! My lips (and fingers) are sealed!!!

ohhh looky here we have blackmail - tee hee, and the plot thickens some more (as they say in the old mystery novels)...
And a partner joins in the blackmail... will the horror never end!!!! HA, HA, HA too funny you all!!!

Ahhhh, and the offer is laid out....

Terms are being negotiated!!!! How will the story end find out in the next episode of Christmas Countdown and the dinner blackmail!!!! Teee hee!!!!

Hopefully, Ballcoach

Got opera?

So funny, MerryCarey!

That's bad news, but I'm glad it happened while you were still close to home instead of way out somewhere. (There weren't any camel tracks near your van, were there...? Maybe Carl didn't want you to go and miss the 'Pines?)

I do the same thing when I know I am going to have a great meal. I wish I had some really hot and spicy Buffalo wings right now. cheesy

LOL, Christmas-A-Holic. Hubby found his a few weeks ago (he's 55), along with some pictures and trophies.

Does it still fit?

Dumb phone!! Love it!

Bright and cooler today. Stopped at Jo Ann Fabrics for some pink yarn last night (Mr.'s cousin had a baby girl, so it's time to crochet a baby afghan) and saw a few Christmas items tucked away in an aisle beyond the Halloween/fall items. (No photos, though ... I have a "dumb phone.")

Good luck! Keep us posted!

Hilarious!!

I Might be able to get my arm through one of the pants legs. LOL!

Sheesh! You guys are on a roll!!

I was hoping you could wear it along with your pointy ears when you are sworn in as Mayor!

Britt is also from the funny farm!! I can't stop laughing!!

.... My bad....dancing classes didn't pay off..

Thinking of you, Dawg, and your sister.

I'll give him an "A" also for some of the food!!!

...My son's math teacher is from Germany, so he took a tupperware bowl full for him, too. I can guarantee a "A" in that class after he eats that meal!
