Gabulldawg, I just took a look at some of the post you made about your sister. I am so sorry for all your family has been going through. Very sorry I didn't see the post in time to say a prayer. I will pray that nothing more serious goes on with her!

I have just been so busy around here that I pop in for a second then have to leave again.

been to the local small zoo with kandice and moms today. now had some nice good ole mc donalds food ....t was a nice evening

It's been a long day.... Had a 2 and a half hour flight to Amarillo Tx,and sat in the hospital waiting room for hours on end.but the good news is my sister is going to be alright... turns out when they put her under for her surgery they rammed the tube down her throat to intubate her too hard and it ruptured her esophagus. So I guess that is why they have you sign all kinds of crap before surgery...you know liability issues and such. Im just glad she is okay and off the ventilator. She will have to have her orginal surgery much later after her throat heals. Makes me wary about hospitals though I have to say. well have a good weekend,it's going to be chilly here tonight!

Glad to hear she's going to be OK. Really does make you wonder about hospital care these days though. How do you rupture an esophagus while intubating a patient - seems pretty negligent to me. At least it wasn't something more wrong with her and she'll end up being OK eventually.

Gray, dark, damp, and warmish today, too sticky to make it autumn-cozy indoors. Just moseying through the posts since last night ... I really enjoy catching up with all your news. I didn't click the Multis today, so I'll just wish you all well and give you all a group hug.

I had an appointment up in Ipswich, and there's a gift shop there that has an "XX Shopping Days 'til Christmas" sign in the window. I wonder if it's a vintage sign---it looks like one to me. I love how they put it up early! The "dollar store" next door is just putting up some Christmas merchandise, including plenty of mini-lights. Wish I had photos for you, but as I've mentioned, I have a "dumb phone."

We're about to go get a bite of late-late lunch. I may be back later.

Yeah That is what I was thinking...NEGLIGENT...my sis is a nurse practitioner and she says she has seen it happen herself the anasthesilogist(sp) will intubate the patient and rupture the vocal chord and a blood vessel and she has even seen patients die...It's really scary but that is why there are always like one in a thousand chance of something going wrong even with a minor surgery. With all that being said you sign your life away so unless they really really mess up is'a hard to proove neglience I think...but I'm no lawyer hehe

It's snowing in Beckley WV,where I am going to spend the first week in December...hopefully there will be snow cover by then! I wonder if we will see snow this year in southern ga!

Okay I just vacuumed sealed two bowls worth up. I'll even be a nice guy and put some crackers, onions, and cheese in the box with it. I'll get it in the mail monday!!!!!


That was a good game today. It looked like texas was going to pull off the win at halftime but the hogs fought back. I wouldn't want to be in the A&M locker room this week.

Poor Wayne is very sick and has been throwing up all night long. He is suppose to teach Sunday School tomorrow but not sure if he can make that. Please send your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery! Thanks!

I hope SIT feels better, my thoughts are with him.

Hubby and I are on our way out of town to take a bed to his sister. We will stay until late Monday. I will award prizes then for the milestone posters. Besides, I might find a good bargain on some prizes during our four-hour trip! Have a great day, everyone. I will try to check in later.

My sister said her arm pretty much cleared up overnight last night. Her face still has a little bit of the rash left though. She goes down to the children's hospital on Wednesday for her second infusion but they have decided not to give her the steroid this time. So I guess we will see if it really was the steroid that she reacted too.

Good evening, Christmas family

Wonderful day today !! We got out in the cold and Fall-like weather and went all sorts of places. I started shopping for a Tree with LED lights, multicolor of course !! With the way Ohio Edison is practically taking our souls every month, I think LED lights on the tree would really make a difference...Does anyone know how much energy they use compared to "regular" mini lights ??

I am going to try and finish HP and The Deathly Hallows tonight....Been so tired from fighting asthma and now that is gone I am constantly sleep and relaxed.......I only have a couple of chapters to go !!

Bought some more Yankee candles yesterday....not the big ones, just some votives. One of my favorite Seasonal scent is Christmas Cookie !!! But I also really love the scent Christmas Eve

Wish and I are settled down in bed with a brand new heated throw on us with the candles lit and the whole room smells of Cookies !!!

It may not sound like much but as I see it....This is a little piece of Heaven.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Made thank you for the update on your niece....Poor little baby and your poor sister....she must be heartbroken as well as spitting mad !! Your niece has not left my prayers....not for one second.

GABulldawg...Glad your sister is okay....what a bunch of morons. I think some doctors take the phrase "the practice of medicine" literally.........they sure act like they are just practicing to me !! ((HUGS))

I don't know the exact figures, but I do know they use a great deal less energy. JeanetteDi would know!

I can picture it, and it does sound like a little bit of heaven. I just had a lovely cup of chocolate and coconut herbal tea. Doesn't sound possible, but it's very good! I had it with two sugars and a little milk. I saw it today at Whole Foods and bought it---a little pricey, but it's gonna be worth it! I also got some vanilla-flavored tea, but didn't want to try that before bedtime because it has caffeine in it.
