Hey everyone & good morning! Last Thurs. after school @ my daughters school some of the JV football player & varsity were waiting on JV game to start & went across the road to a convenience store. This is typical as they are @ a smaller school & this store is almost like an extension of the school. Everyone knows everyone. This 14 year old boy on JV team was crossing back to the school & was hit by a car. Unfortunately there were some other team members just behind him & witnessed the whole thing. Some say they saw him get hit & etc. This poor little boy was airlifted I think, & passed away shortly after. This child was only 14!!!! This is a horrible tragedy & I can't imagine how his family & friends are coping with this. His funeral is this afternoon & I know lots of students will be attending. My daughter didn't know him personally but alot of her friends did. Nonetheless all the kids are mourning the loss of this little boy. The school had a game FRi. night & did a beautiful tribute to this young man. My daughter said it was very somber @ school on Fri. I would like to ask everyone to lift this young mans family, friends, & school up in your prayers today. Grab your child today & hug them just a little tighter.....that's exactly what I did.

My prayers go out to all of them.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! It is a cool morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 38 degrees. We are going to start warming back up this week with a high in the low 70's today and into the 80's by the end of the week. I have to babysit this afternoon while my sister goes to the doctor. Both of my niece's have cold's so that should be a lot of fun. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Morning!! Brrr....it's nice and chilly! I made a pumpkin pie and chili yesterday - so I will be sneaking bites all day! :-)

I think we're going to mostly just hang out at home today. I am tired!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was BEAUTIFUL yesterday, and today is starting out the same! We went to several stores yesterday, buying fall decorations. It was so fun to look for that kind of stuff instead of groceries, toothpaste, etc. LOL

I have a city council meeting tonight. One of my last few as a councilman, then onto mayor at the beginning of the year. That seems so strange to me. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though. I'm already getting calls from some of my "constituents"; some complaining that the grass near the road in front of their house isn't cut right, or the city water tastes too "chlorine-ey". And so it begins!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I'm sorry!!!. I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.
Forgive you for what? Was I upset with you for something??? Hmmm... I guess in that case you have already been forgiven. He he!

Don't forget us here at MMC who have been carrying those signs, "Bradmac for Mayor"! :celebrate: :!!

We were blessed with a great weekend. We had our first real frost this weekend and another one this morning. We saw some snow on the mountain tops Saturday morning along the TN/NC state line. Our church had Sunday service in Cades Cove, it is an old mountain village in the Great Smokey Mountains national park where some of the homes and churches have been preserved. While there, we saw a bear and her 2 cubs along with lots of deer, including 2 large bucks, and lots of turkeys. Then on the way home, we had to stop for a large male bear in the road near our house. We've seen more bear this year than I can ever remember. The older folks are even saying they can never remember seeing so many near their homes.

Have a great day everyone.

Yea, it is kinda of a tradition 1 Sunday each October. It is a great time of the year for it. Come up and join us next year.

Guess what I had for the first time today? Bulmer's hard cider. My SIL brought some from Ireland two weeks ago!

I had Bulmer's when I was in Ireland. I really liked it.

My favorite cider is Strongbow though. We can't get it here in Knoxville, which is a major bummer. I really expected to see it a lot when I was in Ireland but nope...Bulmer's EVERYWHERE!

Not really scary as long as you use common sense and keep your distance especially with a sow and cubs. It is really neat to see them in the wild instead of caged up in a zoo.
