I went to a masonic lodge meeting last night after getting a letter that I was to receive my 25 year service pin. 25 years! I never attend anymore, I just pay my dues, but my dad loved lodge and I joined to be with him. He was so proud! It was really great of them to award this to me. I didn't know any of the members, though. LOL

While I was there, we got some kind of flash t-storm. The sun was shining and the sky was clear when I went into the meeting, then the bottom fell out. We can always use more rain!

My husband is a Mason, and my Dad was a Mason. I wonder how many Masons we have on MMC?

Yes the same here, and now if an inspector even finds a butt you can receive a fine up to $24,000.00 and after a certian number of the violations they can close the job down, something no GC can afford. So it is hard to watch everyone on a building site, they find places to "hide" and grab a "smoke" until those accidents happened a few years ago no one ever was fined but now it is all different, but the employees still try, we actually threw a guy off the job site once we caught him. Construction site provide many hiding places, but once you are caught you are no longer allowed on the site.

Do you have DSL? Try this: double-check the DSL filters on every single phone line in the house to make sure they are all in place. We had frequent drops for a long time and couldn't get any satisfaction from Verizon. One day I decided to double-checked the DSL filters, and found one missing---the line was plugged directly into the wall jack. (Never figured out where the missing filter went!) Bought a new filter for the line, plugged it in---huge improvement. Sometimes the problem is something so simple that it's overlooked.

I cannot stand to be around cigarette smoke, it's disgusting. I can recall the law not being in effect as a child - I believe it was instituted the early to mid 90s - and it was a whole other world afterwards. So much better! Healthier workplaces, healthier people!

Work makes me a little tired so now I workout after I am home as then it gives me that boost of energy I like in the evenings. I too understand you I greatly enjoy my life and the things I am able to do all because I took a commitment to take care of myself and all the possiblities it has given me... I now can say I COMPELETLY get that song it is a Wonderful World and I do not plan of missing any of it :)

Only five to six hours? I'm a big fan of 8-10 hours... But, I usually settle for 7. It is a wonderful world. And it definitely needs to be enjoyed by all ages!

good friday evening everyone! work has been very hectic this week so i'm glad to see the weekend come. had a huge wedding consult today, bride lives in australia ( only here visiting rents), going back next week so we had to fit it in. she won't be back until just before the wedding so lots will be done per email. just a little stressed over it. i want to make it perfect for her & the groom, ya' know?
daughter gone for the weekend to friend's house, 1 son @ work, 1 son home tonight. hubby found out he's going to be traveling the next 2 wks. w/ work so kind'a bummed about that as he typically doesn't have to. planning to do work around house & property tomorrow. hopefully get mower fixed so we can cut 1 more x!
wait a minute...this sounds more like my chore list. it's suppose to be beautiful this weekend, but not cool enough for me ( high 70's-80). the evenings should be nice though. maybe have a fire outside & roast some mallows. yum! friends may be coming over to hang out w/ us so looking forward to that. have a great one everybody!!!!
 
Well I didn't make it to my walmart but I stopped at the one on the east side of Indy this afternoon. They didn't have much. A few skids of christmas trees and that was it. The meijer store near me was starting to put out there christmas stuff today so I'll have to check in with them later in the week to see what they get in.

I am just sitting here FINALLY able to enjoy my weekend. As I wrote before, I had a mandatory 8 hours extra that I had to do between yesterday and Saturday so I decided to get it done TODAY. That way I have Friday evening and all day tomorrow !

I never thought I'd make it another eight hours AND make my line count but by the grace of God.......I did it ! xo

I am going to fire up Windows Media Player and listen to my "new" Christmas albums as I surf the Web !! I am planning on going to Bronner's Website and looking at their nativity pieces !!

My sweet Clancy is on the couch asleep like a little baby all 96 pounds of her........Ivy is already in bed (she sleeps in her dad's room !!) Wish is of course at my side at peace resting and the two kitties, Smokey and Lily, are trying to find a way to launch a new feline plot for getting into mischief !!

I had a whole post typed & I lost my connection!!! CM3, you had me LOL with your kitties!!! I feel the same way with mine, you know how to put it in words so beautifully. Muggy here tonight, but the wind is picking up, they say we will have nice fall like weather tomorrow, but windy. We have the bake sale this weekend, I cannot wait. We'll sale everything, at least I hope we will. Well I guess I better be going. Hope everything has a wonderful weekend. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Be well.
