One hour down umm 7 to go at work...ahh that does not make me feel any better. I am so sleepy I could lay on the floor and get some zzzz's I think. Well better get back to work. Can't wait until tonight!

Just checked our utility's website---some areas won't be restored until Wednesday evening (estimated). Our town doesn't even have an estimated time yet. It says "Assessing." That does not sound encouraging.

At least our motel has free Wi-Fi so I can check in and stay on touch here ...
Sorry to hear all the troubles going on with you. I hope it all gets sorted soon!
I just woke up every hour on the hour and the phone rang at 230 and scared me to death, wrong number of course. But I always think the worst when that happens.
I do the same if the phone rings in the middle of the night!
I slept crappy but I think taking two naps yesterday didn't help.
I hope you feel ok today!
The clock when back saturday night so its clear in the morning now at about 7 and then its gets dark round 5.30

Our time use to go back at the end of October every year now they changed it to the first weekend of November. I liked it better in October so the kids would have more dark hours to Trick or Treat.

Your picture is giving me a seizure! Ha ha!

Today was another very football day for us! We went to our good friends' house to watch Arizona (our male friend's team) v. Ravens and Steelers (our female friend's team and my 3rd fave team) v. Pats. Poor male friend...what a heartbreaking loss but yay for Steelers! Also happy about the Giants comeback win!! So two out of three teams win...sigh Colts...breaks my heart. </3 But we had a good time with them and ate some good Dominos pizza! =)
I usually work on Sundays but was off this time and able to enjoy some games. Too bad the Cowboys lost! =(

Sounds like you had a good time with friends!

the mall here has not started with the decorating yet either...getting lots of Christmas stuff in the stores though!

Even a lot of the stores did not have much Christmas decor - if any. However, since I was with my dad, I did not go out of my way to find any...

Good New Week Morning, Fellow Christmas Watchers.

Hey, now.
Mondays can be good when this is considered:
Days to the Season: 13 (UNDER TWO WEEKS now!)
Days to Christmas Day: 55 (Now under 8 weeks!)

Oh!
And on a more personal note:
Days to the End of Daylight Savings Time: 6
(Hey! Another hour to sleep and warmer and not so dark in the mornings when I walk!)

Speaking of that, it was a chilly 41 for the morning dog walk.
Being a Sheltie, he enjoyed it with his heavy fur coat while I shivered.
(Of course, I get perverse revenge in the Summer!)

You have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone.
The Christmas Season is really starting to close in!

:zombie:Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!:frankenstein:

Good morning, everyone!

A new work week begins - with disappointment - but onward we move toward the Christmas Season - with excitement! Yes, Mondays do have some benefits, especially since the Christmas Season is now under TWO WEEKS away... Thank you, Crown, for that wonderful update!

Also, thank you for introducing the End of Daylight Savings time countdown. I do not recall seeing this in previous years. As of this moment, I had completely forgotten that we have an extra hour of sleep this weekend. Wonderful!

With this Monday comes a Happy Halloween! Prepare to see the streets overtaken by ghosts and goblins this evening! Unfortunately, I was unable to participate in Halloween this year, but I have promised myself that I will do so next year. I think 27 will be a fantastic age to get back into the Halloween Spirit. But, now, howver, I am focused on the Christmas Spirit! I can't wait. Only a mere 13 Days until the entire world ushers in the Christmas Season! Christmas Everywhere!

Have a great Monday, everyone! Be safe and watch out for those Trick-or-Treaters this evening. They deserve their fun!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYBODY!!

I hope things start going better for you soon!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!!! We currently stand at 43 degrees here in central Indy on our way to 60 today. I have some errands to run today and then I will head out to my sisters house to hand out candy tonight. We are getting more kids moving into my apartment complex so I'll also leave a bowl of candy on the porch before I leave. One of the errands I have to run is dropping my laptop off at fedex to send back to HP. I'm going to be lost without it. I still have the desktop but it's not as convenient. So I'll still be around but not as much as normal. Especially since I have to babysit the next 2 days. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!:coffin:

Really looking forward to taking the girls trick or treating later!!

Going to catch up on the posts!

Have a great halloween!!!

Mr. is planning to stay home tomorrow, but I'll be going in to work. We'll have to throw out everything in the fridge, 'cause the power's been off over 15 hours; sadly, it was well stocked. I'm hoping the power comes back on before the stuff in the freezer is a loss too---it should be good for 24 to 36 hours, which would be tomorrow afternoon.

I know we're better off than the folks who lost their electricity AND got a foot of snow, but I'm tired and discouraged. At least we have a comfortable room to spend the night in, at a reasonable rate. We're even close enough to home that if we've forgotten anything, we can drive over and get it.

I'm so glad you and Mr. are safe, Merry! If you do lose everything in your 'fridge will your insurance cover the replacement food? Ours did the year we had an ice storm and was without power for a week or more. ((((Hugs)))) and prayers for you both!!!!!!!!

We are trying a new method to make sure DF's dog Gunner can sleep a little easier. Last weekend he started acting really weird when we went to bed (he's slept out in the living room since my cat and I moved in last October...the cat sleeps in the bedroom with us). In a year, he had never knocked over the gate that separated the living room/kitchen/dining room from the bedrooms, but 3 times last weekend, he did. The other nights he either whined to go downstairs (which he never does), or we had to shut the bedroom door and he slept in the other bedroom. So on Friday, we decided to bring his big cage that we normally kept downstairs and put it in the bedroom, and have had him sleep in that with us and the cat. He whines for the first few minutes, but then ends up falling asleep. I guess it's going well (Sangria hides under the bed for the first hour or so but when I wake up she's back on the bed, so at some point she's coming back up), but we don't know what other options we have. It's been over a year since I moved in with Sangria and she and Gunner are no more used to each other or friendly to each other and we still have to keep them separated at all times. We're hoping this new method will maybe get them used to each other, but we doubt it. Anyone have any options or thoughts?

I'm still having trouble with Mouse and Palmer getting along. The cage idea is a good one - they can smell each other and see that they aren't a threat to one another. Gunner might be feeling alienated. Even though it has been over a year, his routine is all messed up and I know from experience that dogs and cats love routine. You both need to spend more time with him - he feels that his place has been taken over and he will need a lot of reassurance that he is still loved!!! Another thing to do is to wear clothes that smell like Sangria when you do spend time with him; if she sleeps on a blanket, put that blanket in the cage with Gunner. He needs to get used to her scent mingled with all of the your scents. Good luck!!!

Morning everyone
hope all,s good with you this Monday morning and its hallweeen as well
Its cool here this morning.
The clock when back saturday night so its clear in the morning now at about 7 and then its gets dark round 5.30
Had a night halloween weekend. but back to the grind mill today. thers a fireworks display tonight very close to me.
Scars the life put of the parrots and smaller birds out side.and puts scooby and sasha half mad.
They bark during the whole 15 minutes. i stand out the house and watch it at the back and talk to the birds
Hope anyone in the snow area,s are find. safe and warm.
So enjoy your monday and your hallween and will talk soon

Have you tried putting on some soothing music for Scooby and Sasha? It might mask some of the noise of the fireworks for them!

I hate when those calls come, the heart goes so fast because at that time it has to be something bad, no wonder you cannot go back to sleep!

Same here!

I still have the 45 to that song as none of my sisters or my brother wanted it

I hope things start going better for you soon!!!!!!

thank you made! actually as i was riding home from dropping my daughter @ school you'll never guess what i heard?....
Christmas music, on new life 91.9. it's a christian station & i guess instead of doing the halloween thing they decided to have Christmas music today. tomorrow their gonna go back to the normal stuff for a few weeks then full on Christmas. YAAAAAY!

i don't want to ask what else can go wrong because there's always lots worse.
hope everyone stays warm.
big hugs!!!!:hi:

Thanks for all the hugs and good thoughts! Our power is back on this morning, so we can sleep at home tonight. I feel bad for the folks who will have to wait several more days to get their electricity back. I heard someone from New Hampshire say that they weren't expected to get power back until this weekend. 24 hours was enough for us. Wondering if we'll get any trick-or-treaters tonight? We're ready with candy if they do.

well, nothing great here to mention.....broken water line, clothes dryer went out, wet clothes to take to my parents house to dry, microwave out, have a small backup one, need to get someone to fix water line. yikes!!! this of course is my only day off.

happy monday:(

I hope things improve for you soon ... ugh, as if Mondays weren't bad enough!

I'm so glad you and Mr. are safe, Merry! If you do lose everything in your 'fridge will your insurance cover the replacement food? Ours did the year we had an ice storm and was without power for a week or more. ((((Hugs)))) and prayers for you both!!!!!!!!

Thank you, Meceka! Hadn't thought of that ... The power was only out about 24 hours. Seemed longer, though! I got a pint of milk and some cereal on the way to work so I could have breakfast.

Made, Nascar is about over and we didn't get what we wanted....NFL is no where near over and neither of us will get what we want..

The misery....

At least Christmas is coming...then we can look forward to Daytona....

I'm still holding out hope that Junior will win a race this year. He's won at both Phoenix and Texas before. As for the NFL I'm just hoping the colts lose every game and then take Luck with the 1st draft pick.

Thanks for all the hugs and good thoughts! Our power is back on this morning, so we can sleep at home tonight.

That's Great News!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we just need Xmas to check in.

Happy Halloween, MMC!

It is another dreary day in Mid-Michigan. The grass is still green and the leaves on the weeping willow are only now turning color - kind of unusual! Had trouble falling asleep and when I finally did, very vivid dreams in which I tore someone's book case apart with my bare hands - what a nightmare! Thank God I didn't dream about the blob
Today is a work -at-home day - cleaning house in the morning and virtual assisting in the afternoon. Tomorrow, I get to work at the store and when I come home, decorate for Christmas - YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a safe and MERRY day, my friends!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we just need Xmas to check in.

I'm worried about him, too ... I hope nothing worse than a power outage is keeping him from posting. About half a million across the state are still without power this morning. The news says it's taking so long because it's neighborhood-to-neighborhood, and sometimes house-to-house, work to find and repair all the damage.

UPDATE: As of 9 a.m., 98.77% of Monson was reported to be without power. So xmas365 is almost certainly without electricity.

Happy Halloween, friends!!

** Thinking of you all, and hope those affected by the early snow storms are warm & safe. Sending thoughts & prayers. xo **

I am starting to see a little more Christmas action on tv! I was watching The Good Witch's Family over the weekend, and saw Christmas movie previews on the Hallmark movie channel. So exciting! They start their holiday programming this weekend- woohoo!! Guess it's a big kickoff with their holiday open house party in their stores. Yay!

Hope everyone has a spooktacular day!
(Sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Good Monday Halloween morning, my Christmas friends!

We had a great time in the mountains! It rained on us Friday, so we stayed around the house and had homemade soup.

Saturday we rode the Blue Ridge Parkway, then crossed the mountain into Tennessee. At the top of the mountain we stopped to let the kids play in the snow...and me, too. Later, we went into Pigeon Forge, TN and accidentally stopped at The Incredible Christmas Place. I LOVE THAT PLACE!! They had a lady hand-painting ornaments...from the inside! She had a skinny brush with an angled bristle, and she painted the most beautiful scenes; snowy scenes, nativities, etc. Mama bought us a beautiful nativity scene ornament!

Sunday, on our way out, we stopped at Lake Junaluska to feed the ducks our leftover bread. The kids a great time doing that. There must've been 200 ducks & geese!

I wasn't able to get online while we were away, so I've been trying to catch up on this thread since noon last Thursday. I have tried to skim closely, and I hope I haven't missed anything important. Please let me know if I have.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good afternoon all! Its Halloween!
We had our Halloween party Saturday. We had fun! William missed his nap that day because he wouldn't go to sleep. So he was tired! Friday my friend came down. I haven't seen him for a good 6 years or more. He loves Christmas (Showed him the mmc message board) and we watched Jingle All the Way. He has NEVER seen that movie but he loved it! Carved our pumpkin last night and roasted the seeds. Will post the picture of it (mickey mouse) tonight! Have a happy and SAFE Halloween! PS I hear Carl is trick or treating tonight! Keep an eye out!
