Hello my Christmas friends! Happy Friday!!!

I am in the basement cleaning & getting it ready for Thanksgiving while watching the Christmas moveis on Hallmark. The basement getting a good cleaning - all the wine glasses & regular glasses - everything behind the bar & all of the curio...I cleaned out cupboards. It feels so good! So this is what I'm greatful for tonight - Christmas movies on tv & the fact that I am able to host my families Thanksgiving, which gives me good reason to CLEAN! (it's needed!) Sometimes you just need that push to git 'r done! I just love the build up to the Holidays! :)

My sister is coming at 6:15 tomorrow morning to walk & then I am picking up another sister at 8:00 to go to Hobby Lobby! (50 minute drive) We are going for coffee 1st & then I'm hoping to find some Thanksgiving things (discounted :) for the party!!

It seems a little odd to be at home tonight & not at the lake! I will get use to it soon enough! ;)

I'm going to read the posts from today but if I don't make it back...Sleep tight everybody!

That is exactly what we are saying!! it starts at 8pm tonight and goes through sunday night. they are calling it holiday open house...and then next sat.(12th) they are going all christmas until jan 2!!

Afternoon. Off to the city in a couple of hours. Meeting my cousin there. He won 2 tickets to meet professional wrestler Bobby Roode at the Hard Rock Cafè. We are both intense wrestling fans. It's going to be one hell of a night.

MsChristmas - I hope you are getting along well after your surgery!!! Thinking about you & keeping you in my prayers!!

HUGS to you & your four legged sweeties, too! xo

I hope everyone has a Christmassy evening xoox

Good evening,

We are in full recovery mode at work, work was closed for 3 days with no power. I have thrown away so much food the last 3 days, including over 3,000lbs of turkeys. Deliveries returned yesterday we have tried getting caught up for the weekend. The last week has been hell with the power outage, and the "cancelling of Halloween." The boys were so disappointed that the town cancelled trick or treating, but there was/is so many trees and wires down throughout the town that is all they could do. We took them to the Holyoke Mall for trick or treating but everyone in the area had the same idea, you couldn't move in that place. We lost some food, but we used snow to save the rest of it, considering we lost ALL of our food back in June after the tornado, we could not afford to lose everything now. The nights were chilly/freezing, did not sleep well trying to be sure the boys were warm, we ended up sleeping with one or the other every night to keep them warm. I finally got a shower last night, you probably could've smelled me from wherever you are until then. cheesy We only got about 8-9 inches of snow but the trees were destroyed all over the place. The things are getting back to normal around here, Christmas commercials are coming fast and furious now, Music Choice is playing the best music of all. Day off after tomorrow, I can't wait.

Have a great night, it's great to be back.

Great to have you back. It sounds like you did the best you could in a tough situation. This will be a fall season you can put down in the memory books! Glad you & your family are safe & sound. Enjoy your day off!

Hello friends!

Watching Mrs. Miracle right now...who's right there with me?!

I love this movie, and am so excited that we'll be seeing great shows like this for a couple of months! Listened to Sounds Of The Season earlier while making dinner, too.

'Tis the season to be jolly!!! Fa la la la la la la la la!! :???:

Mee, mee, mee! I watched Mrs. Miracle...watching Most Wonderful Time of they Year now!

A weird experience this evening ...

Mr. got a bunch of DVDs off eBay of various 1950s-'60s variety shows. We pulled one out at random this evening of "Sing Along with Mitch." It turned out to be a Christmas show. It reminded me that my dad had once mentioned a Mitch Miller show he had seen years ago in which Leslie Uggams sang a beautiful version of "Mary's Boy Child." It moved me to find the sheet music, and I sang it in a high school concert one year. I remarked that it would be wild if this were that same show he had mentioned. And it was! What are the odds of that happening?? What an incredible coincidence that was.

I love Polar's Orange Dry soda, it is one of their best

Mr. used to send me Half and Half (for you non-New Englanders, that's a lemon-grapefruit soda) before I moved to Massachusetts. Sometimes we drink their Collins Mix straight.

Hi glad to have you back and sorry to hear about the food and all. but i know its was bad but at least you and your family are safe.
Feel for the boys as am sure they were looking forward to halloween.
Putting the food in the snow was a good idea wood never have thought of that. but hopefully things will get better each day.
It horrible when you cant even get a shower or bath.. we take so much for granted ( how did they do years and years ago? i never know)
God willing the worst is over and you can now look forward to christmas. take care
:give:

THat sounds awful! we were worried about you especially after like day 4!!! I can't Imagine what it's like to go without power that long, and in the cold evenings...I am glad you are back in one piece! I talked to Nate who lives around there and although he got his power on last tuesday morning at 4 am...he said in the 15 years he has been in South Hadley he has never seen it be like this,I asked what his plans were for the weekend and his reply was "pick up fallen trees out of the yard" I hope you can recover asap!:gift:

I feel good and better than brandi is, I tell you I am going to be a professional Masseuse by the end of this pregnancy! and I think I would make more money being one of those anyway:) I just turned on Hallmark and this is what I love about them at christmas...they go 24 hours a day so I am never without it when I can't sleep! THat is all I can think of to say right now as I just rolled out of bed and need to wake up a bit...have a great morning everyone!

Good morning! Guess who wound up with a lovely case of insomnia this morning? Yup, me! Woke up around 3:30 and didn't go back to sleep till after 6 and alarm went off at 6:30. Faaaaaantastic.

Thankfully, all I have to do today is go to the supermarket (yes, I have egg nog on the list again) and get a crapload of meds. HOPEFULLY church this evening but we'll see how I'm feeling later on.

Right now I'm switching back and forth between Hallmark Channel (A Family Thanksgiving is on) and NBC (to watch the Today Show). Eventually, it'll just stay on the Hallmark Channel. cheesy

I am watching A family Thanksgiving on hallmark..I love thanksgiving movies too! For me growing up us kids loved thanksgiving almost as much as Christmas. We got to see all our cousins who we never got to see any other time of year. And it's like the kickoff of everyone else in the USA besides us Christmas nuts can celebrate and decorate without being scoffed at.:) anyways have a good morning everyone!
