Hubby cleaned house today--bathroom, kitchen, den. I did some cleanup of my stuff--I really have a lot. In the meantime, I did the laundry. I hung up my Christmas towels in the bathroom. It looks so clean and festive in there.

I got all my errands done this morning - I managed to get a lot done in four hours - wish I always had that kind of energy! Today was also my Thanksgiving. I made the turkey with crock pot chicken spices - yum! Lots of leftovers are ready for freezing - too much stuff to move to get into the chest freezer so I will do it tomorrow.

My brother is relaxing on the recliner, watching the third volume in the Three Stooges collected works. I got it for him for his birthday and since he was so down today, I gave it to him early. He is really enjoying it - earlier he was explaining to Palmer who the Stooges were - it was hilarious!

I also received my cookbook - I am going to relax the rest of the evening and browse the recipes. Thank you to all who contributed and helped put the book together - it is wonderful!!!

See you tomorrow at the Pines - I am ambidextrous, too, and a lousy bowler :wink:

Well maybe the wine did help! at least for now,the morning may be bleak for me...I don't want this shine a bad light on the US air force,but umm I had to just bond my boss out of jail, turns out they had a big party last night at a local bar and there was a fight. I did not want give my credit card over the phone but I figure this could come in handy one day if I need a favor from him which of course I will sooner or later.(((vsu))) Did you ever hang out at Creekside on Gornto rd???

Everything changes in this town so fast....the bar the fight was in was Mixers' in downtowm I use to work at that bar when I first came here...well I needed the extra money!!! Hey they do have the best music mix!!:notice:

My brother said the salute should be a mandatory celebration for Ference each time he scores in the Bell Centre. I whole-heartedly agree. I am a fan of Crosby, too. He is a great role model for youngster. I met him when he was 16, and he was nothing but a class act - even at such a young age!

A rumble in Buffalo could definitely ensue, but I don't predict a whole lot. The Sabres had nobody to stand up for Miller when he collided with Loochm and they sure as don't now. In fact, I would take any member of the Bruins (including Krecji, Seidenberg, Bergeron) over any Sabres player with their gloves off. Only Seguin and Kelly may have to pick their spots, otherwise, they all have nothing worry about. We know that they only way they will go after Lucic is with a cheapshot.

Kaleta will probably the one who does the cheapshot if there is one. Montreal, Vancouver, now Buffalo must be the cities that hate the Bruins most. Go B's!!!

Hey Christmas family !

Just stopping in really quick........DJ (my stepson) got his results back from his PET/CT scan........He is FINE. The exam was completely normal. One more thing to be so grateful for !! I am SO HAPPY..........And so thankful

I just talked to my dad, My sisters have seen him and they said his whole left side is dead,thank God he has great insurance that will pay for a full time nurse...

Don't give up hope Dawg. My great uncle had 6 strokes in a week and couldn't walk or really use his right side for months. He eventually got some of his strength back though and started walking again with a cane. That was 20 years ago. He has had 3 more strokes since then but is still going strong.


I'll keep him in my prayers.

Hello everyone!!!

I am two days into my crazy Black Friday work week and I'm happy to say I have not yet lost my mind! I'm actually starting to get a little excited because I think my boss might move me to a different job on BF. Right now I'm assigned to be a credit greeter, which is probably one of the least liked jobs at Kohl's. She mentioned today that she might have me be a line monitor, which I would like SO much better! It's been a busy two days, but nothing I haven't been able to handle. I think my boss might be a little upset with me, though. I kinda (unintentionally) went over her head to ask a question, and the guy I asked told her about it. So now it looks bad on her when I didn't mean it to. Oops! Guess I learned my lesson on that one.

I have been meaning to fill out my cards for the exchange but I can't find them! I think they're with the rest of the Christmas stuff downstairs, so I guess I will get them when DF unpacks the stuff this weekend!!! I'm excited to put up our tree and the other decorations!

My mom has been stressing me out lately with various things involving the wedding. Even though I told her I like the dress I posted the other day, she still wants me to try on about 7 others at David's Bridal, plus about 15 others at Alfred Angelo. I figure I'll appease her...plus I think it will only strengthen how much I love the other one. We'll see, though. Plus, apparently she is having issues with DF's mom, although I'm sure DF's mom is unaware of it. I think it has to do with the fact that his mom is letting us make our choices with our wedding, whereas my mom wants to know every detail, how much it costs, and is quite critical of different things we want for our wedding. I just don't want it to escalate because our moms have been friends for 16 years...there's no reason to fight, as far as we are concerned!!

On a bit of a down note, I really need some prayers and positive thoughts for a good friend of mine. This is a girl that I taught in high school band a few years ago, and we became good friends. She just told me today that she's tried to commit suicide a few times, and was recently discharged from her college (which she just started this past August) for some "psychotic episodes". I am really worried about her, even though she's telling me she's now seeing a psychiatrist. I worry about her, she's like a little sister to me and I'm horrified that she never told me before now (even though I know from personal experience that it's hard to tell others). I just want her to be okay...

Anyway, to not leave on a low note, I want you all to know how thankful I am for all of you!!! It's great to be able to come to a place where we can discuss our love for the greatest holiday ever, and where we are free to talk about whatever is going on in our lives and know that people will listen. Here's to the greatest online community I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of!! <333

I just wanted to post this, it is from one of the local news stations, they interviewed my aunt about losing her home from the tornado, the video doesn't seem to be working for me but the picture above the article is of her house seconds before the tornado destroyed it, that is the tornado behind her house. Her neighbor risked his life to get the picture, he doesn't remember if he was in the house or out of the house when he took it.

Good evening,

Almost got everything done outside before the rains came, just need to wrap the railings with pine garland, then the outside will be done, until I want to add more stuff (if I could ever get that sleigh here). The trees are next, I can't wait until the trees are up. I can almost smell the turkey roasting now, I LOVE turkey, we are heading to my wife's aunt and uncle's house for the day, then I need to get home and to bed early, I have to be at work at 3am for those crazy shoppers, but I will be home a little after noon and don't go back until Sunday. So Saturday I am making our own Thanksgiving dinner, mainly so we can have leftovers. With that I will bid you all adieu.

I am visiting with my mom tonight,and then tomorrow I may go to the hospital,at least that was the plan before I got the Flu!( i had the flu shot back in september!!!!) He will hate that,but it is what it is, he can't walk at all,and he ran 4 miles a day a 63 years old,but now he is basically wheelchair bound. It's so hard to see my dad that way,he was always so strong and eveything,I know this has to be hard on him,thanks everyone who has prayed for him...the one thing he did say was he should be thankful for what he has..some ppl that had the same kind of stroke he had are in a coma the rest of thier life...

I have every faith that your dad will be just fine .....((HUGS)) xo

Well I've finished decorating my Christmas tree and I'm not impressed with it at all. I just bought it last year after Christmas and I'm already wanting to tear it down and throw it in the trash after 2 days. The thing is just flimsy. The branches couldn't hold half of my ornaments and it is so unstable that I'm afraid it's going to fall over at any moment. It wasn't a cheap tree so I'm really not happy right now.
