Good December Eve Morning, my Friends!

Oh, yes.
Incredible as it may seem, we stand at the threshhold of December -- the last (and most festive!) month of the rolling year. The month the Christmas Season really moves into high gear as we approach the big Day!

And just how far off is that big Day?
Days to Christmas Day: 25
Why, barely over 3 1/2 weeks away now!

Quite chilly for the Sheltie Stroll this morning, where we have started out at 37.
A slight chance of rain today, but we will likely be dry for the week.

Already looking forward to getting our Christmas tree and decorating, which we have always done the first Saturday in December per long-standing tradition.
We always go to the same places and do the same things. (I just LOVE tradition!)

Okie Dokie!
We all know it's Wednesday and we also all know what that means!
Yes, the Thanksgiving decorations have come down at the Shispering Pines and Carl has gone all out with the Christmas decor. You name it -- it's there!
And in a sure-fire move that tells us that Christmas is almost here, Carl has switched to red and green frosting for the Fired Twinkies!
(Not to mention the tea and coffee being served in glasses and cups with Holiday patterns.)

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm having my second cuppa coffee and listening to the Christmas music loop from Disney World that one of our members hooked me up with last year. I really like it, and I keep playing it over and over. It lasts about 2 hours, so it's pretty good!

I'm covered up with work, so I'll check in soon.

I also wanted to add that my dad is being disharged from the hospital next monday the 5th of dec. We have gotten him into a nice nursing home that has a great reputation for rehab of stroke victims. they are saying he may be there for 6 months then he will be able to come home,I have talked to him and some days he is his old self but then some days he sounds completely out of it,but anyways I wanted to thank all of you who had him and my family in your prayers and thoughts! I feel like you are part of my family!

I'll continue to keep him in my prayers friend.

Hi every one! I have not been on a lot, as i have been feeling quite unsteady, i don't want to get ill this time of year, so i've been trying to be calm, which is hard if you are busy

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It is going to be a cool and windy day here in central Indy. I was really looking forward to waking up to some snow but it wasn't meant to be. The snow that was coming down switched back to rain late last night and melted the dusting that we had recived so far. What's weird though is the town 10 miles to the east of us got 5 inches. So maybe I'll head that way for lunch later today. I also want to get some wrapping done today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday ... Pinesday! One day closer to the end of my four-day workweek! The cover for my Kindle Fire finally arrived, so now I can carry it with me safely. Friday will be my day for setting up my Christmas trees. If I'm too pooped to decorate them, I can do that over the weekend. I just realized this morning that while I'm setting up the new one in the TV room, I can listen to LPs---there's a turntable in there that gets used too seldom.

This is my Christmas tree. It is up and running. Hope everybody likes it. I'm sorry, but it seems i'm having trouble uploading the picture. Can anybody help me?

Lunch time has arrived! I will just have a glass of juice though I am too nervous to eat,I have a test for work this afternoon and I need to study some more during lunch hour. The weather is so good finally! It's brisk and cool 49F with the wind blowing. I spoke with my brother (mike) who is just now leaving L.A and he told me he could miss his flight in Salt Lake City because of 30 min connection time,at any rate he should be here at least my 9 pm tonight. Brandi is at home until the baby comes and she is getting use to not working and trying to tie up all loose ends before the baby(jordan) arrives. She has never even met my brother so I am looking forward to them meeting. I also found out my in laws from Boston are indeed coming down south to visit us at Christmas,or when the baby comes which ever comes first. So I am looking forward to spending time with them this Christmas. Well I better get back to this test prep...have a great afternoon everyone!

Just as my daughter and her husband are finally feeling better now my oldest grandson is sick.

Eight people have been sick in the family off and on since the end of October. When does it end!? My son and I are the only ones who have not been sick.

SO while on my lunch break I've learned something VERY important: while I like the IDEA of dumplings, I sure don't like the taste. **makes face**

It's Christmas Decorating Day here at the office. The other two secretaries are fielding the phone calls and patients, and I'm decorating like crazy! Already (since 10:00) the tree is up and decorated, the door garlands are draped over all the doors, the snowman collection is displayed on the lateral file, the wreaths are hung, the lights are lit, and any patient who sat still long enough has garland on them. Now we're sitting here eating pizza and fried mushrooms, and drinking vitamin water (I had to get something healthy in there). After 1:00 when the patients leave, I can start on the waiting room. Hooray!
