Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...

I heard it was 3 parts sugar to one part flour, and add enough coffee to make the dough the proper consistency. Then deep fry!

Good afternoon!!! I can't believe it is the LAST Pinesday before Christmas!!!! I am so excited, pumped, giddy....can't wait for Christmas....and at the same time I am already getting a little sad about all these awesome movies & specials that won't be on tv anymore, & soon! I love turning on my tv & almost always finding a Christmas something! Ah well...I won't let it get me down & I am going to enjoy every minute!!

My brother/sil are supposed to be flying in tomorrow. Can't wait! Once they are here, the Christmas holiday has officially begun!! I think we are having a Christmas movie night tonight at Mom/Dads. Tomorrow & Friday we will probably get together with my brother/sil. Saturday is the BIG day at Mom & Dads - Christmas Eve & now Christmas Day our plans just got changed. We were supposed to go to my in-laws, but she changed it to the 26th. So now we will be going to my brothers on Christmas Day. Then the 26th we have 2 parties - inlaws & a get together with my cousins (Dads side of the family) Will be some busy days ahead...LOVE IT!!!

I hope everyone is doing well & you all are ready for CHRISTMAS!!!!! CHEERS!!!

See you at the Pines!

Substitute Hispaniola White Rum until I can contact a certain Costa Rican luxurious and fine sport fishing vessel to arrange an SJ shipment.

I love small towns. The Sault has about 70,000 people in it, but I would still consider it small. The gym that I am working out at while I am home is like a very tight-knit community. They have their busy hours and rushes around noon until 1 pm and then 3-6:30. The two times I have been there (Monday and today), there have only been about four or five people there working out.

Anyway, the same woman was working out there both days. We talked a bit, but naturally were doing our own things. We ended at about the same time today. As I started walking to the catch the bus (about a 20 minute walk), she stopped and offered me a ride. I had only met her twice previously. What a great gesture! I gladly accepted as my trip home could very well have taken an hour or more!

Since I live in Ottawa now, it is small town gestures like that really make you smile and miss home.

Well Carl has started stocking the buffet line for dinner and you won't believe what he just brought out. A huge basket of dinner rolls shaped like.....Camels. All of this attention may be getting to him.

Sneaking in toward the end of the workday ... I really need a breather. I've been super-cranking today to try to get ahead so I'm not slammed on Friday.

Kind of a discouraging day. I brought my gift bags for the two co-workers I work with most, as I do annually. One recipient didn't even mention receiving it (yes, I know she got it, I put it on her chair); she went home early and left the bag on her desk. (After raving to everyone about a another gift she received from someone else.) The other recipient didn't mention receiving her bag until I thanked the her for the gift bag she gave me. I guess this sounds like a petty complaint---like I'm keeping score. Yes, I'm in busy mode, but it wouldn't kill my schedule if someone walked up to say "Thanks for thinking of me"---or, if they didn't want to interrupt, send an e-mail. On top of some other petty things that are nibbling at me, it put me in an unhappy mood today. I'm going to try to get home a little earlier today and get a little more rest.

(Apologies to all for the recent string of gloomy posts. I'll try to improve that.)
