Was at the Mall earlier.. disheartening to see people just grabbing stuff.. no real thought- just grabbing with no thought- saw people pickingup the biggest junk.. :(

listening to the mmc podcast...loving all of the greetings again...Caninemom just has a very warm and christmassy voice....and all the others, too :D

Thanks! I think my dad will be making some as well for Christmas and he always uses my grandmother's recipe, but I don't think anyone made them as good as she.

I went to visit my grandpa this evening. He offered to make hot sausage with his own sauce and peppers for Christmas Eve. While I was there, he would NOT leave the stove the entire time. The funny thing? Every time I looked at him he was tasting something (I mean, come on, there is not THAT much to taste)! I think he ate half of the peppers and I watched him bite into a piece of sausage (which I hope he didn't drop back in the pot LOL because it kind of disappeared). It was so cute! He was so focused on making everything perfect.

Ever since my grandma passed away, he hasn't had much Christmas cheer. I thought it was very sweet that he displayed all of the Christmas cards that he received this year. Maybe my overly-excited Christmas cheer this year is turning him into a Christmas lover again :)

Mouse had surgery yesterday and another procedure was done today - she is home, quite groggy from whatever was used to put her under. The vet thinks it was her teeth causing her problems, but he is running a bunch of other tests to rule out kidney failure and diabetes. So far, the tests are coming out okay and she is in the range she should be in. Tomorrow I take her back for another shot and if he likes the way she looks, she should just be on her meds for the next ten days or so.
