Good evening,
JP had Cub Scouts tonight, he fully enjoyed it. We are not hosting NYE now our friends decided to take it off our hands since we hosted both Christmas Eve, and Day. Only problem is they keep asking us to supply all the food and drinks, they do this every time, they hosted Easter and had someone else make the ham, we have been having them as part of the family for nearly 10 years since they have no other family here, they always supply the salad for all parties, and never make an attempt to do anything else. I am just ticked off because we always are the first to take hosting duties for holidays or parties, and spend our hard earned money on the perfect roast, or spend the time to prepare food and dessert. I would rather host and spend our money instead of made to feel guilty that we don't bring our own supplies since they don't want to spend it. They make quite a bit more than we do. We are bringing snacks, and dessert as our part. As we should bring something. I am sorry for venting.

We had an impromptu party down at the Elks Lodge tonight!!! Man, the food was so GOOD! We had two different kinds of deviled eggs, pizza rolls, two different kinds of BBQ wings, two different kinds of quiches, carrot cake, palmiers, two kinds of fudge, Spanish/Mexican rollups (cream cheese with chopped olives, onions, cheese, chiles, and then refried beans, cilantro, and shredded jack and cheddar cheese), a hecka bunch of chicken stuff, desserts, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I cannot remember!!! FANTABULOUS!!!
Right now I am watching the end of Chronicles of Narnia on ABC they did a great job this is ^ ^^six years old this movie but wow good movie
well time for bed for me, in case I do not get a chance to log on again this weekend, I would like to wish you all a very happy new year and cannot wait to start the new count down to Christmas 2012

CM3, congrats on the three days off! We have a three-day weekend, too. Got out of the office around 12:15 today, came home, had a little lunch, then made some Chex Mix for tomorrow night's movies. We met some friends for a very good dinner tonight at an Irish pub in Newton and exchanged Christmas gifts. Ours included a "Christmas tree kit"---a lovely little live cypress with a little pack of ornaments and lights! I'll have to care for it indoors until spring.
CM3 and gabulldawg, I think I know how you feel about the New Year. Even as it's coming in, instead of feeling hopeful, I feel apprehensive, because I know there will be tears and sorrows that I can't foresee. Instead, I should remember that there will also be joys and surprises that I can't yet guess at.
Will do, Xmas, and also thinking of Coach tonight.

we all have one in our family you know, in ours it is my nephew and his 3 kids and wife. For Christmas dinner they brought soup. Everyone was supposed to bring main dish, salad or vegie, dessert, drinks and snacks. Last year they brought a bag of frozen vegies. Good thing everyone else brings lots!
