Good Morning, First Thursday of 2011 Friends.

Onward with the count:
Days to the Season: 313
Days to Christmas Day: 355
Under 2 weeks off now from Milstone #1, the 300-day Season Window!

i'm feeling better already.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I spend the evening fiddling around with a speed detection radar trailer that our group, "The Friends of Bellville", bought for the city. It's one of those trailers that displays how fast you are going and what the speed limit is. It's funny how many calls I get from folks in town wondering when I'm going to put it out again. Of course, I get calls when the water pressure is low, or when the neighbor's dog turns over a trash can...LOL! Such is the life of a public servant.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
How is Mayor life treating you, Bradmac? Sounds like the town is going to keep you busy busy!

OMG!!! 93!!! I sometimes go past them and cannot believe how fast I am going - I'm like whoa slow down there girl!!! Tee Hee!!!

Wow, that turned into one great pool party at the 'Pines last night---who knew there was a real pool in the poolroom? An epic evening.

Isn't tonight Twelfth Night? That makes me a little sad, another "end of Christmas" milestone. But onward to 2012!

I thought the grocery stores died down after the holidays were over, but wow was I wrong. I was turning down the bread aisle and there were a rush of people trying to get through. A woman actually bashed me in the ribs with her shopping cart which didn't feel good at all - especially considering I cracked a rib or two on that side a year ago. Sheesh....you'd think a blizzard was coming with the mad rush in Walmart!

On the train to work yesterday, someone jostled Mr. as the doors were closing, and they closed on his head. He got to work okay, but had an awful headache by noon, so he came home to lie down. I think he'll be okay, but I told him to see the doctor today just to be sure. I don't believe in taking chances where the head is concerned!

Could someone describe the cover of The Time Life Book of Christmas to me ? There is probably only one but if I order it I want to be sure I have the right one !

There ARE more than one. The 1987 edition has an illustration of Santa Claus on the cover, holding something glowing in his hand. I couldn't find it on Google Image. If you remind me, I'll take a quick photo of mine when I get home and post it.

Christmas family, may I ask a question ?? I put a wallpaper of Jesus on my Ipod. Do you think this is disrespectful ? I dont want to be disrespectful to Him, I just wanted His image with me all the time. I hope it is okay xo

I'm with everyone else. He knows why you did it, and He probably approves! It's one way of keeping Him in mind everywhere you go.

OMG!!! OMG!!! How did he know, that Carl... Maybe I should chance it and give him a kiss under the Misletoe!!!

It is my very own DVD of A Christmas Carol (from 1951, starting Alastair Sim)!!! I've been wanting this for years and just never got around to getting it!!! Oh wait... OH NO!!! Their is a 2nd one in the case, it is hand wrtten on it says OUT TAKES FROM THE SHISPERING PINES 2011!!! Dare we watch it next Wednesday!!!

I'll bring the DVD projector! I seem to remember folks dancing on tables and such ... should be an epic to remember!

It's a date!!!!!!

You must be the one speeding up and down my street! =)
Haven't you ever noticed that where those units are setting is where the police aren't? Open challenge!

That's just a walk in the park...or winter wonderland for that matter.

Happy Thursday everyone. The weekend is so close and just right around the corner. I hope everyone's day is great and full of happiness!:merry:

It looks like I'm going to be the city mayor, accountant, trash collector & dog catcher. Other than that, not too bad!

I forgot to tell you that it takes pictures of license plates. Your fine is in the mail!

Good morning, MMC! I can't believe today is already Thursday, this week flew by. Countdown 'til college starts back up...4 days. That is one countdown I'm not looking forward to.

It really warmed up today - 31°F! Not that I'd call that warm, but it's a lot better than 17°F!

Yes, I did have another fantastic day. After I signed off last night, I, too, curled up with my Nook. I have over 60 pages of books listed. That's insane!!!

I hope you had another fantastic day back at school! I am going to curl up with my nook and read while trying to stay warm. Its still really really cold here.

Sugar- I hope your cold goes away and that you feel better!

snowflake- you are so very welcome!

I don't think it would be disrespectful. I carry a rosary in my pocket or purse and that has the image of Jesus!!!

Thanks for you wonderful thoughts!!!

...Seawaters - I spoke to St. Padre Pio about you xo...

i dont think it is. as long as it is done with respect. in a different sort of way its a nice thing. what is the difference between someone wearing a cross and chain round there neck. or someone that carrys a mass book, medal or a prayer to a saint in there bag or purse. you carry it on your ipod so where is the harm in it.

I am originally from Gaston County right across the border from York.

no, i'm actually from Lancaster.if you look @ a map of S.C. in the top center you'll see a town that resembles a pan w/ handle....that's us! Spartanburg is about 1 1/2-2 hours s.w. of us. have been there often, very nice town.

Your post made me laugh out loud!!!

hey ya'll. wanted to drop in to say GOOD MORNING!
off to work in a bit. taking down the Christmas & replacing it w/.....dare i say it.....oh no, can it be......say it ain't so.......Valentine's day! huge scream of horror, aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
in my line of work, this horrible day is called Valloween! it is a total nightmare in the floral industry. wasn't bad @ all before i went to work in it but now.....???!!!
the only thing good about it is we can leave all our red drapery out & i do mean the only good thing. please don't think i'm mean or anything, it's like any job, there's always 1 thing every job has that we dread!!

ya'll have a good day!!! see ya' later!
