Good evening/morning, Christmas family

Just stopping by to wish everyone well and hoping that everyone who is not feeling well will feel better soon.

Sugar - I hope that cold gets better soon. Colds are one of the most miserable sicknesses to have when you are trying to be active and with your job, it makes it worse because of the stress nurses have xo

Snowflake - Still praying xo

Seawaters - I spoke to St. Padre Pio about you xo

CAH - Thank you for what you said about being picked on in school but someone as pretty as you should never have been teased xo

Could someone describe the cover of The Time Life Book of Christmas to me ? There is probably only one but if I order it I want to be sure I have the right one !

Christmas family, may I ask a question ?? I put a wallpaper of Jesus on my Ipod. Do you think this is disrespectful ? I dont want to be disrespectful to Him, I just wanted His image with me all the time. I hope it is okay xo

Gabulldawg - Thinking of you and praying for Brandi, Jordan, you and Snowball xo

Made - Your video about Indianapolis is wonderful !! My favorite part was of course, the Zoo. xo Still praying for your niece xo

Bradmac - Here's wishing you a wonderful run as Mayor !! You don't have to worry, all you have to do is be yourself and your city will have the BEST mayor it has ever had !! Still thinking of and praying for your brother's girlfriend and Gail xo

Thank you again, dear Christmas family for all the encouragement and the always kind words you have for me xo

Have a wonderful, Christmassy Thursday everyone xo

This is just how you all make me feel when I am down and out and need somehwere to go ..... (((Hugs)))

Thanks! Each day I feel a little better. Thanks for always thinking of all of us. Thinking of you as well!

As far as the the Jesus wallpaper, I don't think that is fine. You're religious and there is nothing a matter with always wanting to have Him with you.

I am just really thankful she is active and happy - slippers can be replaced, after all :D

Glad to hear it!

okay I give up..I have decided to have a drink of bourbon tonight, after all I missed out on the holidays and even New Years Eve...I will have one mixed drink and pass out!! Hope everyone has a great night!!

On the train to work yesterday, someone jostled Mr. as the doors were closing, and they closed on his head. He got to work okay, but had an awful headache by noon, so he came home to lie down. I think he'll be okay, but I told him to see the doctor today just to be sure. I don't believe in taking chances where the head is concerned!

Hope Mr. is okay!

Hello everyone! Hope your all having a good day! DH, the kids, and I are getting ready to go out to eat. I will check back in later!

Have a good evening!

 I see the weekend in our future!!!
Tomorrow is a special day for my husband and I, it's our seriously dating anniversary, not to be confused with our Wedding Anniversary that comes around in October. I put together a special photo display with an inscription that reads "All because two people fell in love" and I made the card myself with two of my own photos.
 He's going to be so surprised.

Suddenly I have old love songs playing in my head instead of Christmas ones. Won't last long though, I was humming Christmas tunes at work today.

I don't make New Year's Resolutions as a rule, but this year I'm going to sing and hum Christmas tunes all year long whenever they get stuck in my head. That's my resolution.

Doubt I'll make it this way tomorrow - have a grand weekend and if you are celebrating the Epiphany tomorrow - Merry Little Christmas!

Hope Mr. is okay!

I'll find out when I get home. There were no "danger signals" yesterday other than his persistent headache, but I'll feel better once the doctor says he's fine.

Congratulations! So nice to remember special dates like that!

Just put a Boston Butt in the oven...it was still frozen in the center so maybe if cooked at 350F for 4 hours it will nice and done. Still no drunkie though...another mixed drink down the hatch!!

Hello everyone! I thought I'd try participating in this thread a bit this year. I joined last fall and I would pop in the countdown from time to time, but the thread moves so fast that posting felt a little intimidating, like jumping into a fast-moving river
Just jump in and hang on! We'll throw you a life jacket, if needed! :-)

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice day so far. It's been a quiet one here. I ran a couple of errands and got some takeout with my mom. Too bad it was gross! The steak salad that I got had not one good piece of steak on it...all charred or fatty - ick! I have a lot of my favorite shows returning tonight, can't wait to have a relaxing evening!

I do love Boston Butt!

Hey everyone!

Today was the first day of school for the new year. The kids were very good. They were glad to be back and it showed. I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought for sure I would have at least one crier. They are so sweet. I loved hearing all about their Christmas. I love my job!

I hope you all had a great day. I need to go figure out what we are having for dinner. We might be eating out tonight. LOL
Talk you all later!

I am originally from Gaston County right across the border from York.
cool beans seawaters....you're a Carolina Girl too!
I received the following and hope it interjects some humor in your day:

Have you ever been to these places I’ve been?

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots.
Apparently, you can't go alone ~ you have to be in Cahoots with someone.
I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.

I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there.
I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.

I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.

I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.

I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.

Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.

One of my favourite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!

I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing.

Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year. You can do your bit by remembering to send an e-mail to at least one unstable person. My job is done!

Life is too short for negative drama & petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
From one unstable person to another... I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty well in mine!
omg!i think i've visited all these places in my lifetime. hahahaha, lol!

Anyway, tomorrow we celebrate Three Kings Day at our house! We started this when our girls were small as a way of staying connected to their father's Puerto Rican roots, and to extend the Christmas fun into January . On the night of the 5th they would each decorate a shoebox however they wished; then they would go outside and trim grass to put in the box as a snack for the kings's camels as they passed by and left their gifts. The boxes were left under the (still decorated) Christmas tree. On the morning of the 6th they would awake to find the grass was gone from the boxes, and they were now filled with small wrapped gifts. Because it all has to fit in the shoebox it has always just been small stocking-stuffer type gifts, but they enjoy these little trinkets so much more on the 6th than they do on the 25th when they can be overlooked in favor of larger, more exciting gifts. Then their father reminisces with them about about his childhood Christmas celebrations in Puerto Rico, where in those days all the children received their gifts on Jan. 6.

Later in the day all the Christmas decorations are lovingly packed away for another year, and dinner will include a special dessert such as a Rosca de Reyes or a flan.

Does anyone else here celebrate Three Kings Day/Epiphany?
