This is so funny, Made. I dreamed about you and some of the others on the forum. We were all at a celebration at the beach. I think it was Myrtle Beach.

Yum!!! Seawaters I'll be waiting at the end of the runway.

I bet those high schoolers were excited!!! How do they choose who gets to do it?

Here's another interesting bit of information for you. Did you know that they actually play a practice super bowl? The NFL and NBC brought in a local high school team to do a complete run through so they could make sure all of the camera angles are right and to make sure all of the replay systems are working. They even had them run the same plays the Patriots and Giants are expected to run.

I remember those days of going on and on and on. Right now, though, I don't know how you do it all!!!

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I've been MIA for the past couple of days. It's been so busy in my little life. Work is still busy and I've been working exta time still. Thursday into Friday I worked 13 hours and yesterday I was exhausted from it. It's just really starting to catch up with me.

This weekend is my weekend off. Yesterday was my first day off. I slept only about 2 1/2 hours and then got back up to do running around. When we came home, I laid back down around 9 and slept in until 9:30 this morning. It felt great, but now I have a lot of catching up on here to do. It feels great to be back here.

Spending some time already with the kids this morning felt great, too. I haven't got to see them as much as I would like to.

Well, I am off to reading. I am sorry I have missed so much. If I reply to message that seems to late, don't think I'm crazy... cheesy

Did I tell you guys about CaringBridge dot org??? This is a site where people with major illnesses can chart their progress for family and friends. If you go there, you can check me out at my first name and last name. Type in a capital C plus the rest of my first name, then NO SPACE, then capital W and the rest of my last name (Waters). I think you need to sign up, but this is a non-profit organization so they will NOT sell your name. I keep a journal there that you can read as I document my journey. I just want to say, in the words of a friend of mine, "Cancer, you chose the wrong *****!!!" The bleeped out part starts with a b and ends with a tch!!!

Thanks for sharing this with us, C. Looking forward to checking out your journal. We are with you all the way in this battle, friend!
xoxo
Screw Cancer.jpg

Can I say that on here??? If not, then ,someone, please bleep it out!!

It was a loooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggg day today.

I am tired, my foot is really killing me tonight, I have been on my feet way too much the last few days. The boys had a great time at the playscape, and BK, but they suck the life out of you they are so high energy, and I can only move at half speed with my bum foot.

Have a very good night. Dream something Christmassy!

Ouch...hope the pain lets up soon, Xmas! Rest up today. Take care!

My wife finally asked me tonight, "What are the Santa Clauses still doing out?" She just noticed it. I said Whats wrong with that? MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hahahaha!!!!!!!!! That's classic, Shellie!
And one other time i was trying to open a car which i thought was mine and could not figure out why the key wood not open the car door.

Well some people wood expect to get close to the concert.there will alwys be people that the more you give the more they expect!!!
Dont know how i wood feel with thousands desenting in my town (not that my town wood hold a pile anyway)
Does the superbowl always end up in indy or does it change from year to year???
I was reading on the posts about the commerials during the breaks and a lovely lady sent me the best 25 and they are really good .

Which ones did you like the best?! I always enjoy the Bud Light ones, especially if they have the Clydesdales. :-)

good saturday morning everyone! I did not sleep very well last night but am glad the sun is coming out now! a neat thing just happened while I was watching a national cable news program this morning the county I live in Lowndes County was on the news debating thier new school policy of not giving "f" anymore because it makes kids feel bad about themselves...its neat when you live in a small town to see your towm make national news...well I guess it depends on which topic.lol In all fairness I feel better about having a kid grow up now Vs when I came along in the 80's....when I was growing up "bullying" was just seen as a right of passage, now schools are taking this issue very seriously as it should be. I have actually heard teachers bully students themselves or call them tattle tales...anyhow...I hope everyone has a great day.I am about to take snowball for a nice long walk!!!

That's really cool about your town, dawg!

GOOD A.M. YA'LL!
hubby & i tried to hang out together last night so i wasn't on very much. my son, his fiance, fiance's younger sis, & my daughter were in the dining room playing Uno & then "are you smarter than a 5th grader?" i was sleepy so went to bed early (as usual).
oh yeah hubby came home yesterday & said he doesn't think he's going to China. a few @ work discussed it & decided he's needed much more here. high five, hip hip hooray!! he does go to Tennessee this coming week but only for 3 days.
anyhoo, i think it's gonna be rainy & cloudy here today & tomorrow. not sure what we're gonna do.... i guess there's always cleaning! yuck. now tomorrow evening it's all bowl time!!

That's great that he doesn't have to go to China, merry!! Enjoy your time w/ him & the family this weekend =)

They even had them run the same plays the Patriots and Giants are expected to run.

They also do that for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I was a cameraman for one of them and they do a run through really early on Thanksgiving morning and then they do it all over again but this time it's for real.

That's really cool, I had no idea. Makes sense though. How cool it must be, to be a part of the trial runs!! I bet the excitement is electric!

Good morning, everyone! I can't believe the Super Bowl is tomorrow! I am a little disappointed, however, because I watch 3 shows on Sunday night and now they are not going to be on. At least I have next week. Mom is a lot better today, she seems like she's finally really starting to recover from the surgery. The effects of the anesthesia have been driving her crazy the past few days, so hopefully that'll go away today.

It is snowing!!! I woke up this morning to see a bunch of snow coming down. It was mixed with rain but now it is all snow. There are big, fluffy snowflakes - my favorite kind!

Last night the weatherman insisted that there was NO chance of snow coming here...well guess what, wrong again! Since everyone is home here and not out driving, it is nice to watch it fall.

I worked under the deck all day yesterday, but I now have two additional water faucets and several (waterproof!) electrical outlets around the deck. No more hooking hoses together to get to the other side of the yard! It's ready for the lattice to go up, finally.

Nancy and went out to eat, but didn't really see a movie that we could wanted to see (read: that she wanted to see!), so we came home watched a scary movie on Netflix. Ha! I still win!

Glad to hear things are coming together for you with your deck! I am sure it will lovely once it is all said and done.

Hope you and Nancy had a wonderful time last weekend!

Good morning, Christmas family!!

How are you all today?

What's your plans for the day?

I'm just sitting here and having some coffee, watching Dateline's episode from last night. I always find them fascinating.

Today, I have to do some laundry, house cleaning, and cooking for tomorrow. Hubby is taking me to the Crue concert tonight @ Hard Rock, so I'll have to find some of my old rock 'n roll clothes, lol. Should be fun!

Made, we should be around until later this evening, so call if you need us to come bail you out cheesy Sounds like some wild parties by you! Enjoy the festivities!

Hope you all have a fun Saturday!!

Good morning,

A nice looking day here, just wish there was a coating of snow on the ground though. LC woke up before 5am this morning to run to the bathroom and has been awake since, once he wakes up he doesn't go back to sleep and the rest of us pay for it. I have a great hockey game to watch today, my 2 favorite teams the Bruins and the Penguins play each other. My foot is feeling good this morning, I will be off of it most of the day.

I am missing Christmas today though.......i miss the christmas season everyday there is not a day goes by that i dont think about it in some way...you wood think i loved it lol

Have a great night, Snowflake!!! I love the mac and cheese from Hard Rock. When Hubby and I go to any major city, we always go get a T-shirt from HR.

I just visited my CaringBridge.org site and was amazed by the wonderful guestbook signatures. Thank you all so much! It really touches my heart. Brad, are you with me on the wig huntin'? Maybe we could snag some mistletoe while we are at it!!! LOL!!!

A sunny, cold Saturday here without much on the schedule. That's a blessing! Hoping to sit down with some TV and crochet. The snowflake afghan isn't going well. I'm sewing together the motifs and strips, and having to fudge a little---the edges aren't quite matching stitch for stitch. It'll look fine, but I think I'll wind up donating it to Savers if I finish it. Next time I make that pattern I'll have to count more carefully as I go. (I crochet to relax, not to obsess over details!)

No big Bowl plans tomorrow. I think we'll make some loco moco and watch the Bowery Boys in "Hold That Line."

Glad your foot is feeling better than yesterday and that you'll be able to stay off it for a while. I hope you can relax and recover from the kids' day out yesterday!

I swear the countdown hates me tonight, it just won't let me reply!

Edit - Go figure, this time when I'm complaining it works.

And one other time i was trying to open a car which i thought was mine and could not figure out why the key wood not open the car door.

Been there. I remember getting a new car with a key fob that unlocked the doors with a button. I came out after work, and the doors wouldn't unlock. I called the dealership to explain the problem, and she asked if I was SURE I was trying to open the right car. I went down to the parking lot again, and sure enough ... I didn't recognize my own new car. I had been trying to open a different one. At least she couldn't see my red face!

Pul-leeze ... Kids need to be acclimated to the idea that their work will be evaluated their entire lives, and not always gently or even fairly. When you're an adult in the workplace and your work doesn't meet standards, the boss doesn't pat your shoulder and say, "It's okay, I know you're trying"! Real life is going to come as a terrible shock to kids who never fail and never lose. They'll never learn how to recover from negative feedback and improve. (Yeah, I'm talking like an old f**t.)

oh yeah hubby came home yesterday & said he doesn't think he's going to China. a few @ work discussed it & decided he's needed much more here. high five, hip hip hooray!!:???: he does go to Tennessee this coming week but only for 3 days.

Yay! I'm glad to hear that. I'm grateful that neither Mr. nor I have to travel on business.

Well.
Wherever you are.....
Be it cold or warm, rainy or sunny, tea or coffee (preferrably tea) you have a Simply Sensational Saturday, Friends!

Tea is at hand as I sit here!

I am about to help Brandi get salad mixed up for tonight...we are having our next door neighbor (julie) over she has had a very rough week with losing her dog...she is really fun to be around though, her husband died about this time last year and she is maybe in her late 40's,she has talked to brandi about dating and how she does not know if she is ready or not,and brandi told me to be on the lookout to maybe introduce her to some guys at work,I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. Im terrible at matchmaking,I need to leave that up to Brandi...lol anyhow Julie and some of Brandi's teacher friends are coming over tonight for salad and blackened salmon, and Apple pie for dessert! I need to go and help brandi as we speak she is getting aggrivated at me.lol have a great day everyone!

It's wonderful that Julie has such good neighbors in you and Brandi. I'm sure it's a comfort to her to have friends at this time that she can count on.

I'll be there soon. I need lots of energy for wig huntin' today. Who wants me to stop by???

I'll see if I have any wigs in the closet from the old days that you can wear when you want to be frumpy. I'll rinse 'em off first. cheesy

I just have to share what my daughter put on my CaringBridge site:

Hey, Mama! Have a really great day huntin and don't shoot your eye out!

She is the BEST!!! She can always make me laugh. She knows how much I love Christmas Story!!!

Thanks for talking about crocheting. I will have to make sure all my yarn and stuff is readily accessible during my time off school. I can't remember if I shared that the doctor said I will have to be off the rest of the school year. I used the word accessible because we (well, hubby) will be moving furniture and stuff into the garage to store while he gets moving on the addition we are making to the house (namely my gourmet kitchen). I think crocheting will be easier than scrapbooking to while away some time. Scrapbooking takes up a bit of room, whereas crocheting doesn't, as long as I work on one project at a time.

You are so right about the F on report cards. Excuse me? What will you replace it with? An M or X or Y? It will STILL be the lowest grade you could get!!! Sheesh! In my school, we use numbers 1-4 for the core curriculum. In my classroom, I tell the kids that it isn't whether they make 45% or 99% that counts. It's whether they IMPROVE each day. I think that is why so many of my students succeed in learning through the 12s in multiplication. We encourage one another. Sometimes it takes some of the kids longer to reach 90% or above (which indicates mulitplication fluency to me), but they all try hard every day.

Yes, send those wigs my way!!! Haha!!! I remember when I bought my first one because it was the "in" thing back in the 70s. I have a picture of me (pregnant) with a super shiney wig. My MIL and I bought one at the same time at a "wig party." I wanted one because I did not want to wash my hair every day after having a baby!!! How vain is that?

jennifer: I'm glad you and your mom are both doing better!

Stacey: enjoy the Crue show!

MerryCarey: no big bowl plans here, just going to make chili

Good afternoon, MMC!

I am enjoying a lazy weekend, mostly because I have not much energy for anything other than doing paperwork for the store. Dinner is in the crock pot - I hunted through my recipes and am making a potato and chicken sausage casserole - totally different then the ingredients the recipe called for, but it was what I had on hand. Smells good!

A Christmas movie sounds lovely - maybe I will put one on after I get the paperwork done. I will back on the computer at 8 for RJD's radio show, The Greasy Skillet.

Have a MERRY day!!!

That crockpot dinner sounds so yummy. I am making a beef/sausage chili tomorrow. You made me hungry just mentioning your dinner!!!
