Well, I gotta be honest. I'm slight aggravated. Seems like I never get to come here. I haven't been on two consecutive days in what seems like forever! I can't wait for basketball to be over!

Tonight we the wife's bday. Had Parent/Teacher Conference and then took her out to eat. But I had to stop by and say hello b/c I did't get to yesterday...I don't think.....long week.....

but it's over tomorrow.....and I can't wait to see you then!

Later, friends!

When my ex-husband had to be gone, I would always plan some really fun things to do when he returned. If he were gone for any length of time, I would work on surprise projects, like the time I crocheted a window pane skirt back in the days when you could buy a body-suit "blouse." I bought matching hose, too. I would also plan some great meals. Anticipating his return was really exciting.

My present husband doesn't have to be gone, so we plan fun and exciting things together!!!

well he will be back tomorrow. i miss him when he's gone.

so happy to hear your dad is doing so well. sounds like good times w/ your sis & her family.

You are such a good sister and SIL. I love the idea of the solar cross. I don't know what Hubby and I will do when our cat dies. She is so special to us since she "found" us when he and I first started dating.

this evening has been terrible. my s-i-l has a (spelling?)shi-tzu, Perkins, he was 16 & in very bad health, couldn't even stand any more w/out having seizures. this has gone on for months & today she had him put down. my bro called me & said to come over after work because she'd be upset. well, i got there before them & when they drove up my bro was driving, my s-i-l was in the back seat holding him & my mama was w/ them. bro had already dug the hole before they went. bro & i got the box ready, cut some of his blankie & wrapped him in it, put his 2 favorite toys w/ him. OMG, that was so hard! ya'll, he was 16 years old! we all loved him. my s-i-l is pitiful, she said a piece of her died w/ him. they did EVERYTHING together! i brought a solar cross from work so we could mark his grave. i'm feeling really low right now. wish hubby was here!

Good evening, Christmas friends. We had a very busy day today. I worked until a little after noon, then Hubby and I went to Chico for doctor appointments. He had a stress test and I went in for a urinary tract infection. I HAVE to get that cleared up so it won't interfere with my surgery. Then Hubby went to Knights of Columbus and I went to Wal-Mart to get my prescription. I picked up two BlueRay DVDs, some socks so I have plenty to wear to chemo, two cooking magazines, and deodorant.

I wore my blond wig to school today because the kids begged to see one. They were shocked at how good it looked. One kid asked me if I had my hair "made straight"! None of the teachers could believe it was a wig. In fact, one said, "Who did your hair?" I said, "Raquel Welch." I am going to wear the shorter wig tomorrow.

Have a great rest of the evening. TTYL.

RJD,
I just wanted to warn you that we don't have a cement pond, and we don't live in Beverly Hills; however, we do have pot-passers and I bet I could cook up some good possum. So you and the fam, come on out!!! Haha!!! You know what I mean.

I love Pomp and Circumstance!!! Huge, huge, huge congratulations to your son. I wish I could have been there, but I won't be in Texas (Austin) until July. Do you think you will have any snow???

We just got back from my son's graduation and it was great! My daughter is a teacher at the college he attended and she was there working at the graduation. A lot of family came in town and it was good to see everyone.

I want to thank everyone for their well wishes to my son. It means a lot!

Guess what??? On the way home we saw a lit up Christmas tree in someones window!

I haven't had a chance to catch up on here but will be back on tomorrow to do so.

Goodnight my friends!

So sorry to hear about the migraine. I am thankful I haven't had one in a loooong time. Take care of yourself. I don't do winter sports, but I do love the snow. Loved your PM. I will answer tomorrow.

I'm trying to catch up, but I have to quit for now.

Got a migraine.
It's been quite sunny the last two days which I love, but the reflection off the snow and cars has triggered a big one. Still managed to work through it. I do have good news to share though, I spotted twelve blades of grass against the wall and four of them were green. Yippee! If it keeps up this way, the snow will be gone for my birthday. It's only happened twice that I can recall. I don't mind the snow for Christmas and snapping photos, but it sticks around too long and since I don't enjoy outdoor winter recreation like I did as a kid, it's not much fun for me.

The weekend is in sight - not sure I'll make it here tomorrow, but I'll check in over the weekend.

CAH And SIT Congrats to your son and his success despite what his 4th grade teacher said.

Keep a merry thought in your head!

I forgot to tell you guys about Look Good, Feel Better. It is a sort of "seminar" under the auspices of the American Cancer Society. Many businesses participate in these events for people who need a little pick-me-up and information on dealing with cancer, while at the same time learning about different services. They also give each participant a great "goody bag" filled with things that will be helpful when you deal with the various aspects of cancer. For example, they give out make-up and make-up tips, skin products to deal with the skin changes that result from chemo, and tips on wearing scarves, wigs, and hats. They have come up with a new mouth rinse that helps with the mouth and throat sores that can really be painful. The mouth rinse helps lessen the pain. They also give out Latisse. If you don't know what that is, check out Brooke Shields. It (Latisse) is not cheap, so these businesses are doing a great service!!! I have to call the Cancer Society tomorrow to let them know my coloring so I get the correct color make-up. I am amazed at the support and resources that are available.

But NOTHING can beat the love and support on this forum and the prayers that have come my way. I really makes my heart swell!!! And that's a good thing!!!

Goooood eeeeeevening!

Im still here everyone. Been off sick. Bad chest/sinus infection with hot/cold sweats. Im on meds and on the mend. My job is a little busier now so I cant check the message board at work LOL. Good morning,

In less than 24 hours we will be on the road to Vermont for the wedding, I went to the Inn's website and they have snow on the ground, I may not be able to go skating, but they have a 500ft drop snow tube area, horse drawn sleigh rides, and a forecast of -2*F for Saturday night. They have wifi so I will be able to bring the laptop. We still have to pack for ourselves and and the boys, so it will be a busy day.

Hope you have a lovely time sounds really nice place

I am going through my emails right now and trying to delete want I don't want and print recipes, etc. that I want saved. It is like toture to me when I miss a few days of not being able to delete these.

Does anyone else know what I am talking about...you go to a store...they want your email for coupons because you have kids. I like getting the coupons, but half the time, they just send me junk!

Dont you really hate that i hate giving my email address to companys. they say they do not pass it on but am not so sure!!!!

Hoping your migraine is away or at least a bit better this morning

Heck that is terrable she must be in bits i no what she means when she said part of her died with him. its like losing a family member or a close friend. but she is so lucky to have your family with her.
All the thngs you done .the blanket thing and the toys i done that when sandy and fluff died i feel so sorry for her .
Dont you just hate to see someone hurt so much. there is nothing in this world you can do it make it ok.
And yes when sometime goes wrong you always want the person you love to be there.

thanks shellie, i know it's gonna take her a long time to get over losing Perkins. you are so understanding.

I am so sorry for you SIL loss. That has to be horrible what she is going through and I'm sure it's hard on all of you, being that the dog was 16 and in the lives of all of you. Praying that all of you can find comfort. It's great that she has family like you all to help her through all of this.

thank you sugar. just keep her in your prayers. that dog meant everything to her. i know it may sound silly to some but those w/ pets will understand.

((((((MerryMistletoe)))))) I can't tell you how very sorry I am for yours and your SIL loss ...I believe Perkins is all well again ..I am sure of it !! He is young again and will be waiting for his family ....I know how sad this is and how difficult ...I will keep you all in my prayers ((((Hugs)))

thanks so much cm3. i told her this very same thing yesterday.

are your wigs Raquel Welch? i've seen her designs in a few magazines & wow they're really nice. you know what? i can't think of too many girls who would do that for their kids/students. you are way-way cooler than most teachers.
