Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good morning,

It's a frigid 3*F with wind chill of -9*F up here in Vermont, we are packing up, then heading to the bride and groom's brunch. Then we will be leaving for home.
The ceremony was great, my wife is feeling better, she was up and dancing with the bride and her other friend from high school. Didn't get to go tubing or anything but it was a great time up here. I miss the boys, but we will see them in a matter of hours.

I must prep to leave.

I'm getting ready to listen to The Greasy Skillet - lots of interesting songs on the playlist for this week!

Make sure to mark your calendars for next saturday nights Greasy Skillet radio show. I've heard a rumor that Carl may have gotten to RJD and convienced him to play some songs about his realtives.

Meceka and Made, that was a great show last night, wasn't it?! I can't wait for next week!

I don't usually sign on over the weekend, but I wanted to give an update on DH. Surgery went well, home the same day. He's feeling much better today, eating solid foods. Almost back to normal!

We are going to church(I think) Although I have not discussed it with brandi it is frigid outside it is 20F whith wind chills around 13F which for south Georgia may as well be 50 below!!! I guess I will go to church if brnadi thinks it;s too cold to take the baby out in and it probably is. Other than that 2 more days until court to testify and I am trying to think positive!

Super cold here too! Try to stay warm and keep the baby warm! =)
I know you are anxious to get that court case over with!

I just found out last night that Darlene Love is Whitney Houtson's Godmother. She posted it on her facebook last night.

How sad for all to lose Whitney. By Darlene's post she was obviously shaken up.

I cannot seem to shake this cold and it has gotten worse. I have to go to work today so I hope I do okay! I thought I would be better today. Maybe after I get up and around I will feel better. We will see!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be another cold one here in central Indy with a high of 28 predicted for today. I have to take my niece home in a couple of minutes and then I need to run by the grocery store. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the early morning service at but came home to help cook lunch...some teacher friends of Brandi is coming for lunch. She goes back in 2weeks,and she is half looking forward and half dreading it. We are leaving him at the day care by her school and it has an excellent creditials. But I know she will be glad to get back to teaching. Okay I have a squash casserole in the oven that needs cheese put on top...have a great mid day everyone!

We just finished watching Secretariat. What a great movie. Earlier, I watched The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo on my Nook Tablet. Just practicing!!!

I was a horse-crazy little girl when Secretariat won the Triple Crown---I remember watching the races on TV. I remember his winning the Belmont so far in front of the other horses and pulling farther away with every stride. (The film footage looks so old now when they dig up the clip!) I should check out the movie!

....I know there are some who say they don't like cats but that HAS to be because you don't have any ....they are just affectionate in their own way as dogs....

I miss having a kitty. But there's a cat in the neighborhood (I don't even know if it's male or female---we just call "him" Cat) who comes to visit. Sometimes he's there when I get home from work or when I get the mail out of the mailbox. I always go outside and pet him and listen to him purr. He's got a good home somewhere in the neighborhood, because he's fat and has shiny fur. I got a little bag of crunchy kitty treats so I can give him a little treat when he visits.

You should probably have a doctor take a look at it. Have you considered wearing a support glove or wrist support on that hand? It helps me sometimes. My right hand cramps up and gets sore when I have a lot of writing (proofreading marks) to do, and sometimes when I crochet.

I hope you're right---sometimes once you get going in the morning a cold will feel better. If not, relax when you can, and have some nice hot tea with honey and lemon, and keep hydrated. I hope it goes away soon!

Today we're going to see "The Artist" (the new black-and-white silent movie) with a friend of ours, then we'll go out to eat. Weekends are too short---tomorrow's Monday already. We planned a day in yesterday because we were expecting snow, but it never materlialized. We stayed in anyway and I made spaghetti with Spatini sauce.

I must have SAD (winter depression) or something, I've been so blue some days without much reason.

Gotta go and get dressed for the day.

Iliam - How is your Lily ?? My Lily is doing good now. She hid for the first couple of days but now she seems back to baseline. She gets her stitches out in a week.

CM thank you so much for asking. She is doing better now. We're thinking of taking her cone off today even though it's only been 6ish days. We're all looking forward to it. So glad your Lily is doing well and that her stitches will be coming out soon.
