I actually turned on Daytona qualifying for a little while today, and I think I heard something wrong. Did I actually hear them say that NASCAR changed the restrictor plate and made the spoiler smaller so they could go faster? Seemed like when I was a big fan they just kept making them go slower, now they are reversing all of that? WOW!!!

They have decided to let them go a bit faster to help break up the 2 car packs that they had last year. They will be going about 205 now in the draft.

well guys haven't mentioned this before but where i live in S.C. the crimes are getting out of hand. our unemployment rate is 1 of the highest & some people are turning to crime. there's a beauty shop down below the flower shop i work @ & the owner was leaving 1 evening & some men in a van came up to her car window, pointed a gun @ her. she took off in her car & went straight to the police station, told them, & they searched & found the men in the van. turns out the gun was a bb gun. that's horrible, i mean c'mon, can you imagine how scared she was? this is just 1 incident of many. hubby has said he's getting his concealed weapon license & i had told him i am too. hubby had mentioned this before this happened but i decided to afterward. i know some of you may feel anti-gun but when you are scared....you're scared! boss had went to a chamber of commerce meeting on the downtown crime w/ the sheriff speaking on it, she filled us in on the info he gave. boss said she's gotta bad feeling, which didn't help my fears. also told us if anyone tries to rob the shop, give them everything! don't fight it let'em have it all! this town is in bad shape & it saddens me because this is where i grew up have called home for 40 years.

The cops told us to get protection, and be prepared in the future. So, we went & bought a .357 Magnum, got lessons, went target shooting until I felt comfortable, bought an alarm system, and got Harlowe. The cops said just having a dog is helpful, no matter the breed, that a lot of times a bark will ward them off.

Anyways, my point is, do whatever you feel you need to do to feel safe! I carry pepper spray in my purse. Do you do that? If not, may be a good idea. Good luck. Sad about having to feel that way in your hometown. xo

Well Snowflake covered what I was going to say. I have no problem with any one carrying a gun as long as they know the right way to use it. I use to carry a glock 17 but sold it to my brother in law when they started having a lot of break in's in the their neighborhood. Now I'm thinking about buying a glock 30.

I did see the Daytona 500 last year and those 2 car packs were terrible. Will the cars do better when not in the draft, or are they still dependent on the draft to be able to pass. I always felt like when NASCAR tried to fix something they went to far the other way, in my opinion that's what they did with the chase format when they wanted to fix the points system. But from what I have seen they haven't fixed anything with the points system. I feel they made it worse, but that's just me, I know some people like it and that's fine, but that's what made me lose interest in NASCAR.

Okay enough of my NASCAR rant, sorry about that.

unexpected blessings.
Just got these today for free. We have a drop off area by the dumpster where you can put things that are still good but you no longer want. These are in almost perfect condition and almost as tall as me. Just needed to put the backs on again and clean them.(they were not even really dirty, but I like clean!) Perfect for all my cake decorating equipment, wide enough to hold even my biggest totes.

Although it's only 7:30 PM here, I came online to say good night to everyone. I have had a weekend filled with nothing but homework. I had to modify two papers, type a 1,500 word paper, answer discussion questions, type a 2,000 word study guide, do a lab, take a practice quiz, take an actual quiz, and do a financial analysis. I'm exhausted. I'll never fall asleep this early, so I'm going to go relax on the couch and watch a couple of TV shows before I go to bed. I have a test tomorrow afternoon.

I still have the lump right above my jawline, kind of near my cheek. If it doesn't go away in two or three days, I'll have to go to the doctor. I hope it doesn't come to that because I am so tired of doctors. The good thing about this lump is that it isn't getting any bigger, and if I go to touch it, it moves around a lot. I always heard that lumps that don't move are bad.

Well, off to go grab a snack and relax!

I thought that was funny too and thought of Frankenstein when I saw that dance! I just love, "The Lawnmower"! In fact, Wayne and I were doing, "The Lawnmower" dance the other night listening to The Greasy Skillet music. Ha ha!
