Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good afternoon dear Christmas family !

Yesterday was an amazing, wonderful day with my sister. We had such a wonderful time together. She brought me two T-shirts she had meant for me to have at Christmas both Harry Potter quotes - One says "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" and the other says "Mischief Managed" .....Both quotes having to do with the Marauder's Map......(for any of you who might have read the series).
The up to no good one is DEFINITELY ME !! LOL !! We then went to our favorite used book store and she got me two books by Debbie Macomber......I did not know which ones to choose since Debbie has a TON of books......I never realized......I didn't want to read Mrs. Miracle because I feel Hallmark probably covered that pretty well with the movies. Se we shall see. I am always looking for good books about Christmas or just good books in general. I love REAL books. My fear is that in the future books are going to be replaced by things like Kindle and such......these are wonderful ways to read but IMHO there is NOTHING like holding a REAL book !!!

MerryMistletoe - What a scary, scary situation. I hope all will be well xo I can certainly understand your need to have the license to carry a concealed weapon and I fully support whoever wants to have guns......I just have an aversion to guns because of what happened in this house 19 years ago....

CAH - I hope you are feeling better and as well Sugar I hope you will be better soon also.

I found out something VERY INTERESTING Christmas family. For my back pain, I cannot tolerate ibuprofen (Motrin) or aspirin or Naproxen (Alleve) alone. They ALL GIVE ME ASTHMA .....that was not the case in the past. Now there is very little it seems I can take for this kind of pain. I am going to switch back to Acetaminophen and see if that is okay.......if not, I guess I am sunk.

unexpected blessings.
Just got these today for free. We have a drop off area by the dumpster where you can put things that are still good but you no longer want. These are in almost perfect condition and almost as tall as me. Just needed to put the backs on again and clean them.(they were not even really dirty, but I like clean!) Perfect for all my cake decorating equipment, wide enough to hold even my biggest totes.

Those are great, nice find CS!

good evening all! Well the weekend is over and it's that time again.! I am getting ready for bed later than usual tonigh. I have to get up at 430 and leave at 530 for gym then work...it has gotten coooler!!! it feel s great! the temp is 50F with the winds blowing make it feel much cooler! well it has been a great weekend,we are getting closer to Spring it really feels like spring is already here! have a good night everyone!!

Funny, it's getting closer to spring, yet there has been no winter here. Why do I get the feeling we are going to get walloped with something before spring gets here?

My bro-in-law looked at my computer tonight, and he is saying it is basically dying, it just won't run certain programs anymore. We have had it for nearly 5 years, and we have logged a lot of hours on it, most of the letters on the keyboard are gone, so next month we probably will need to purchase a new one. So if I disappear for a while, my computer will have died. I will try to be on everyday until it does. I hope everybody had a great Sunday.

A 5-year-old computer is geriatric. We once kept one for 7 years, but it got VERY slow, and eventually got shut down by malware (fake virus warning).

This week starts lent over here . and am sure everywhere else in the world to.
Tomorrow is pancake tuesday its always the day befour ash wednesday
Its a tradition to make or buy pancakes dont ask me why
I have bought some pamcake mix in a bottle that you add water to but i add milk. and shake it got a few last week and made then . they come out very thin but they are lovley wth maple strup.
They were eat as soon as they were made.!!! so got some more to make tomorrow..
Then comes wednesday. its a fast day so it will be fish for dinner !! and at mass they give out ash.s. you go up and get then on your forehead so you run round a day with a black mark on your head..
Anyway hoping your day is good and all furbabies is good

Goooooood Morning MMC!!!!!!!! IT's 441am is everyone up????? Anyways I am strugglin this morning and I needed to do that...it still feels like Sunday night to me!!MY sister and Bro in law from California came in last night and we stayed up way tooooo late since I had to get up this early. Good Morning!

I'm up and already had breakfast. I just know I'm going to need a snack by 9 haha. Well, right now I'm debating if I want to join Weight Watchers for the 3rd (or 4th....) but do it online (since it's a bit cheaper). One of my advantages is that I've been tracking my food intake since 1/1/12. That's the longest I've EVER done that!

Also, I'm in the category where I really don't need to lose much (10 lbs. at the most) and I think WW just might be the thing to help me lose this bit of extra baggage that is driving me NUTS!!

hi all
Have just figured out sasha one of my bover dogs has a kidney infection
this past few days she has been drinking a lot of water and going to the toilet a lot
Early on she i saw there was a little blood and so on!! in her water so am going for antibiotics which is likely to cause a row as they will tell me to bring her down. our local vets are all for money . and they are gonna tell me something i already no as i did my traning as a veterinary nurse. and no a kidney infection when i see one.
I wood not take anything to them. but i will end up getting them as i used to work for them years ago . it has changed hands now but the owner that i worked for at the time has still a say in it. and i will ring him if i have to.
She will be find i know she does not seen in any pain or discomfort. but the sooner a thing is looked into the better
