My buddy from Atlanta just got here on his Hog,and said he ran into a little rain right before he got here... I am about to put some steaks on the electric grill,they have been marinating since last night in the fridge so they should be good!!!!It feels like it's already Saturday for some reason....stay tuned to find out how the steaks were!!!

There is a light dusting of snow on the ground - could be the last snow of the season!

The rest of the month is going to be very busy. I am working on expanding the business - creating a logo, setting up a web page, etc. I have created logos before, but I know nothing about setting up web pages - should be very interesting! My goal is to get everything in place by June 1st, the fourth anniversary of my business opening. Wish me luck!!!

Good morning, Christmas friends. I slept so well last night. I woke up once to go to the bathroom and had some pain which is more than likely the drainage tube "resting" on a nerve. It is not a constant pain, just every once in a while if I move wrong. I have a big job ahead of me today--REST!!! That is something I am good at! The Home Health Nurse should be over about 10:30, so I better go rest up for her visit. Who wants to join me? I meant to add yesterday that if anyone needs to go somewhere in the Lear, s/he will need to get another pilot for a while, at least until the tubes are out. Have a great day, everyone. I will stay signed in between naps!!! LOL!

It looks like rain here pretty soon! we have doppler radar at work and about 50 miles to the north a cold front is coming through bringing rain with it. Temps will be in the 40's at night with highs in the upper 60's. then it will warm up next week back to the 80's in the afternoon and lows in the upper 50's...Everyone remember to spring forward tomorrow night too!!!at least in America!lol

now that's the dawg!! gotta keep us up on the weather.(seriously, i never watch it)

I am eating nothing but junk food today!ugh! all the preservatives in it is making me feel like crud! I have been going to the gym in the midst of everything happening with my family in the last 2 weeks. But as far as going by a diet?? I have been eating nonstop the last 2 weeks!I am using the countdown thread today like my twitter..sorry folks but I am trying to get back on schedule..I am glad to be back here after being gone last week. Thanks again everyone you guys are the best!!

Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I was out this morning. My daughter was singing in a school production (Grandparents Day) and it was great. We all went out to the local sandwich shoppe for lunch. I love a reuben on rye!

I just found out I have to leave early for a dentist appt. My boss is going to kill me! Tomorrow is the annual Rattlesnake and Wildlife Festival (formerly the Rattlesnake Roundup). It's a big deal around here, with tens of thousands of people coming from all around. There'll be a parade in the morning, and I have to ride in it as the mayor of Bellville...LOL. Bernie has an old '68 Ford Galaxy that he has restored. They just put the new vinyl top on a couple days ago, and it looks great!

First, however, I have to get up at 4AM to help with a BBQ chicken fundraiser for our church. Ugh. it's going to be a long day tomorrow, especially with time changing!

It has been a long week, and I'm looking forward to the weekend.

What are your plans?

I got a nice surprise last week- got a call from my best friend saying that she's coming to town this weekend. So, I plan to pick her up from the airport tomorrow afternoon, and she'll stay the weekend at our place. It'll be great to catch up in person!

Nascar is in town this weekend, and the traffic is crazy here. Not that it's ever not crazy, lol! Who will be watching?

It has been snowing today, white outs, then sunshine, then light snow then sunshine then white outs again.....all day....now the temperatures are dropping, down to feels like -14c.

But next week...by Wednesday it will be +15c!!!

well, that first cake is now in the garbage....next one out of the oven, much better result!
I am glad that does not happen often, but that was a new recipe, which I do not think I will try again, not a good flavour or texture. (which of course is why it went in the garbage)

Hi all...hope you are all keeping well!

Quick update from the TSAH household....

Daughter just received her first interim philosophy grade - despite her nerves she achieved a B...she is now confident that she can achieve at least a B overall!

I am just in the process of interviewing for the NE of England Regional Manager role...wish me luck please!

:whisper: I love my early morning work outs! I can't pull it off late in the day because I'll get too tired or a better offer might pop up or I'll find an excuse like the noise of the weights or something and not go. Starting off my day at the gym is awesome! We've had a competition going on as a fun challenge to go virtually across Canada to inspire others to "get fit". Currently I'm running on water near PEI because there wasn't enough room on land to place my marker. I completed the challenge a day early and accidently lost 10 lbs. I wasn't trying to lose weight and thought I was gaining muscle so I was surprised. Some my co-workers or other members have often encouraged each other to keep at it and work harder. I have been having physio on my right shoulder from an old skiing accident. I guess it started to bother me again from using the punching bag. A few times I didn't feel like working out because it was sore then I thought about SeaWaters and my friend Bekki and other people who are in more pain than me and I pushed myself to be strong like the strength they have shown. I'm please with my efforts and I know I'll keep at it.

So great to see you doing so well. Tarheels, especially those from Gaston county, are just naturally tough. We are continuing to pray for you and your family.

More high school baseball today and tomorrow. It is a great time of the year with baseball. Our son is a sophomore now. Going back to t-ball, we have spent most of the last 11 springs on baseball fields. I will so hate to see it end. Like Brad said, it would be great to keep our kids young forever.

I taking tomorrow off so it may be Monday before I am back on. Have a great day and weekend everyone.

My schedule is not giving me time for MMC, I didn't finish my project with all I was doing today, I just delegated it, I hope it was done, I will find out in the morning. They expect everything done even when they give you 500 things with only 1 hour left in my shift, and you can't stay late or you will get overtime.

JP has his Pinewood derby tomorrow, we made his car for it, I hope he wins a race or 2, I will miss it because of work.
