Our musical turned out great, the kids did a fantastic job!

We did have a scare before it started. 15 min before the start our choir directors husband appeared to have a stroke (he is 74) He was coherent but slurred his words. An ambulance came to take him to the hospital. He told her to finish with the kids since they would be doing a bunch of tests and making her wait in the waiting room anyway.
We prayed with her, then talked to the kids about what had happened. She did really well and went off to the hospital after it was done. Waiting to get an email about how he is doing.

I feel so bad I just read this now! How is he doing? Praying that everything is okay!

So glad to hear the musical was a hit though!

Carl is typing this for me, so please excuse the errors. I HAVE to say that PRAYER WORKS!!! This whole ay has been nothing short of MIRACULOUS!!! I will tell you about the miracles when I can type at home. It i very hard for Carl to type on my tablet! AND that might be TOMORROW!!! I have to take a walk, so TTYL.

I know this is several days after your surgery, but just so glad to see that you were feeling well. Wanting you to know that I'm still praying! How have you been feeling the past couple of days?

Good afternoon, MMC! How is everyone? I am awake for lunch, then hopefully headed back to bed for a few hours. I was really hungry for some reason this morning and DH made me homemade pizza. I love that man!

Nothing new here to report. Tonight here to report. Tonight is my last night of work, then I am off a day. I think in a previous post I may have said Weds., but if I did, I meant tomorrow.

Alright. Back to bed. Hopefully I can catch another hour or two. I've been sleeping about 3 now. Goodnight!

Good afternoon, everyone!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! I can't complain about mine. It was relatively cheap, yet enjoyable. Saving money is a good thing... Especially when I will be searching for work again as of now... At least I have my job until March 30th... The person that I have been filling in for will be returning on April 2nd, making me expendable. Back to searching for decent paying jobs, I guess! It's a good thing I have two degrees and a diploma. They always look real good on the unemployment line.

It was a little darker when I awoke at my normal work time this morning. With the time change, the sun is just coming up when I awake in the morning... I'm sure that it will be back to normal brightness by next week. I really can't complain though. It was above freezing during my walk to the bus. A nice, crisp 3C! Last night, I actually heard Canada Geese for the first time this year, too. It seems as though they are paying ode to the upcoming Spring season by re-migrating north.

No real plans for the week. I will be heading to the gym tonight after work. Otherwise, everything else is up in the air! We'll see how it all unfolds.

Glad to see that everyone else is doing OK! Enjoy your Monday and I look forward to celebrating the Milestone with everyone this week!

Good morning Christmas family

I just got a call from my sister. My brother-in-law has had another heart attack. He is in the hospital and they put in a stent. He was 100% blocked in one artery. I don't know what is going to happen as this is his second heart attack plus he just had serious surgery for an abdominal aortic anuerysm just last year. If you could, please pray for Wes. I am scared beyond belief, too scared at this point to feel anything else.

hey ya'll! believe it or not, i'm by myself here. kids are gone out & hubby went w/ my uncle to a sportsmen classic in another town. nice & quiet here now.
i had heard the other day there was a shooting in our town. turns out, @ work i learned more about it & it's got me feeling down for several reasons.
the man who was shot & killed, went to his sister' home wanting $, the sister & her husband of course refused. the man shouted profanity @ them & said he would be back & left. he threatened his sister before leaving. when he came back, things happened & the sister's husband had no choice but to shoot him.this man has been on drugs for years, his wife is too. they have 2 children. now the sister & her husband (who i do not know) are nice people & have a nice home. the family is heartbroken, of course. my daughter is friends w/ the daughter of the man that was killed. she used to go to school w/ the girl but since changing schools they have lost touch but still talk on facebook. the man also has a son that's younger. i've asked several family members about the kids & if they stay w/ the mother (the couple was seperated) because as i said she's on drugs also. unfortunately the kids are w/ her but other family members make sure they have what they need. i just don't understand why no one has taken these kids to care for. i know she's the mom but come'on, drugs do NOT make a good mom. i'm worried what these kids have seen, been through, experienced. it's so sad! the friend of my daughter called me @ work today & i spoke w/ her a few minutes, she was @ a friend's house.
as you can see, there's several reasons i am feeling down. please keep this family in your prayers. the brother in law that shot the man & his sister are in turmoil as you could imagine. please pray for them!

I am finally typing from our new computer, I don't have to worry about it crashing while being on it.

Congrats on the new computer!!

I got home from work and JP showed me his trophy, He won first place!!! We carved the car by hand, I had no idea what I was doing, being the first time I have ever done it. JP went undefeated in all of his heats, I can't believe he won, I am so proud of him!!!

Yay, JP!! Way to go!!!!!

Another lousy day at work, I had to apologize to some of my coworkers for not acting professional, (my choice), they said it was okay, and they understood why I was so upset, I just missed one co-worker, I know I don't have to but I feel I must apologize to her to, since she is one of best friends at work.

Day off tomorrow, hopefully a better week lays ahead.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's been a long night. My sister in Seattle called about 10:30 last night and said that my niece was really dizzy. She has had spells before and the doctors always said that it was because of the pain from the arthritis but then she started complaining about her chest hurting really bad. So my sister called the doctor and he said to take her in to the ER at the children's hospital. On the way to the ER my niece started complaining that she couldn't remember things. The ER did a EKG and a CT scan and they both came back ok. She was still having a hard time remembering things though and her blood pressure kept dropping every time she would stand up. So they called a neurologist in. The neurologist is thinking it's a migraine but admitted her and wants to do an MRI later this morning. So I've been up most of the night waiting on phone calls and worrying. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY or at least better than my day!!!!!!!!

OKay CAH you sure did not try very hard and gave up easy!!! that is okay I realize it is a very hard thing to do and it could be really anything...Sooooo..the good news I have is that friday me and brandi found out we are expecting again...yes I know it is soon....Jordan is just 2 and a half months old...and so this is very very soon...BUT we are happy although it was not expected all we could do is laugh laugh laugh...but we are very very happy...it will be do mid november alhough we don't know for sure because she has not even been to the Dr yet...She is very very early like 3 weeks..but anyways that is my good news and I am over the moon happy!!

Merrymistletoe - That is so sad about those poor babies. I feel so sad for them. It has been my experience that for some reason, a lot of courts think the mom is the better suited parent without even checking into facts, even if the mom is involved in drugs, it seems courts love to award custody to the woman. I hope and pray they will be okay.

Made - I am keeping your little niece in my prayers. Poor little thing. Please do keep us

Happy Sunday dear Christmas family

My sister called last evening and said that Wes was doing better yesterday afternoon. At first when she had seen him he was just out of surgery and was very shaky and pale but when she saw him later at lunch time he was better. He had eaten lunch and the color was back in his face and seemed a lot better. I have not heard from her today but when I do I will let you know. It can't be good, this whole thing, though, with him just having had AAA surgery just a year ago and now another heart attack. Still, I know there are folks who live through many heart attacks. I am praying that there was no or minimal damage to his heart. That seems to be a determining factor in prognosis.

I downloaded yet another Christmas app for my Ipod !! I am trying to be optimistic which is something for me. I am naturally a person who looks at a glass and sees it half empty. I wound up getting rid of my Tap A Talk app as I didn't really like it. I purchased additional storage for my Ipod but I am so technically challenged I am wondering, once I have used all the storage that originally came with my Ipod is that when the additional storage I purchase kicks in ??

Hermione is growing and growing. She is such a dear sweety. She does seem to have some issues but she is going to be enrolled in a puppy class hopefully April 1. She tends to be so, so headstrong as she is half Bloodhound and does not like it one bit when you tell her to do something she doesn't want to. She has even growled and not in a playful way. But I will not give up on her. I love her and I know we can overcome this. She is still not house trained but we work on that every single day. I read some article that stated Bloodhounds are slow at learning house training and to expect the age of between 4 and 6 months. She is not quite 4 months yet so we have a ways to go. The aggression is the one that concerns me more. I have never had to give up one of my babies because of a temperament problem and I am praying that this is just a phase and that I can get it under control. It would absolutely break my heart to have to send her to a new home. It would be like giving up a piece of myself xoxo

How was your weekend?!

Mine was great, had a blast w/ my girlfriend!! Always good to catch up. We went to a new Hibachi restaurant Saturday night- it was excellent! And entertaining! On Sunday, we went out to brunch & met up w/ her Mom & friend who were also in town. We had so much fun! And I'm very tired today!!

Hubby & I also had a fabulous visit w/ my parents last week. We went hiking, saw a Cubs game, and just hung out @ their casita. I learned Euchre (again, lol- can never seem to remember the game) and we had so much fun playing it every night! My Mom wants me to be the sub for her card club someday when we move back =-)
Was bittersweet, though- hard to say goodbye since that was the last time I will see them before they head back to the midwest in April.

I have been dragging for two days. I took a 3 hour nap yesterday, so sleep shouldn't be my problem. For weeks now I am in bed & sleeping for eight hours, but I toss & turn & dream all night. I am not getting the full eight hours of sleep. I try not to eat or drink before bed. I'm thinking of giving up the iPad before bed too. No appetite the past two days & I always have an appetite. This too shall pass...

Well they have released my niece from the hospital. They're still not sure what caused the memory loss or why she is still dizzy but it's not life threating. So they just told her to follow up with her regular doctor about the dizziness and bring her back if it happens again.

I have trouble with sinus infection and constant headaches - for months...

What does that feel like, the acupuncture? Can you feel the needles going in, one by one? I've always wondered? Is it relaxing? Hope it's helping you!

It's still hard to believe that the colts are going to let Peyton walk away but that's life.

Yes, this truly is very sad. It's just like Hines Ward leaving the Steelers. I know he's getting older and will soon retire, but I would like to see him finish his career with them.

Has Peyton decided anything? I haven't heard anything else. I haven't really got to watch tv the last few days.
