Luckily for us he is in good health. Knock on wood! I don't want to end up jinxing him. We are looking to see if there is someone trustworthy that will do it for us. My brother and dad both work a lot and do not have the time to do it. You are right, he really did get fed up with waiting. While he is stubborn and does not like to admit that he needs help, he'd rather do it himself then wait around for a month for them to show up. He is very independent and usually does not take help from anyone.



That is a funny story! It put a smile to my face. This would certainly be my grandpa last summer or any time before then. He likes to do things himself if he can. Last year when we offered to hire someone he about had a cow and protested no. However, since he admitted to us that he really didn't feel well after doing it and that he is starting to feel his age, I really think that the guy didn't show up. He likes to be outside a lot, but he also had skin cancer removed recently so I think he wants to avoid cutting the grass in the heat if he can.



Wow! Bless him. I cannot imagine someone that age cutting grass, but if it made him happy then good for him. That will be my dad - he pretends he does not like cutting the lawn or working outside, but you can't pull him away. Thanks for sharing your story

I am about to make myself a sandwich for lunch and then my mom and I are heading to a very important yearly doctor appointment for me. It's a long story but years ago I had to have surgery on my gums and needed a bone graft. We will take an x-ray today to see if the bone graft is holding up. I have been praying so hard that it does but I did not want to have to ask anyone to pray. I feel like that is all I do around here and you all have better things to do with your time!

I am about to make myself a sandwich for lunch and then my mom and I are heading to a very important yearly doctor appointment for me. It's a long story but years ago I had to have surgery on my gums and needed a bone graft. We will take an x-ray today to see if the bone graft is holding up. I have been praying so hard that it does but I did not want to have to ask anyone to pray. I feel like that is all I do around here and you all have better things to do with your time!

She is doing ok. She gets tired easily and has some constant pain from the cancer and arthritis but she is tough. She goes to Wake Forest to see her Oncologist later this month. We're not expecting anything new. Hopefully it stays slow growing and away from vital organs. She has lots of scar tissue in her pelvic area from all the surgeries and the cancer is currently isolated in the scar tissue.

This may be more than you wanted to know but thank you very much for asking and for your prayers.

Hopefully it will be slow growing and she can stay out of pain!

You haven't lost your Christmas feeling, it's just temporarily misplaced. I found mine under the record player the other day.

Aww...thanks for thinking of me! I have off tomorrow and my mom and I are spending the day together after I sleep for 2 or 3 hours - next week is my birthday. Then we're taking EA to the circus tomorrow night. It should be a fun day. Thanks for asking!

Good afternoon, MMC friends! How is everyone doing? I hope everyone is all well. As the rest of you all are concerned, I am as well about Cm3 and Ivy.

Not much is going on here. We're getting take-out from Applebees for dinner and then I am going to spend sometime with DH and the kiddos. Tonight is my last night of work, then I am off tomorrow.

Tomorrow, the hospital is having a birthday meal that I will be attending - they hold one each month for everyone's birthday's for that month. Mine is obviously this month. My mom's was on the 10th, so we'll be going together (she works there too). We're going to do that, then we're going to spend the rest of the day together because my birthday is Sunday. After that, DH, the kids, and my MIL are going to order a pizza (she's watching DS), so we can take EA to the circus. It should be a very fun day and I'm very excited!!!

Well, I am going to go for now. I just finished another book on my NOOK this morning. I had to finish it before I went bed it was so good. I am currently starting another. Talk to you guys here later on!

Thanks, Shellie! I am very excited. I haven't been to the circus since I've been a kid. We have awesome seats and it's right beside where the elephants walk in. That's all she has been talking about. I know she'll have a great time!

Getting anxious about this workweek ... I was told last week about an enormous amount of work that's coming in on a deadline that would be impossible if I had all day to work on it, but the work hasn't even come to my desk yet. Hoping it's not one of those situations where I wait all day for the work, then it comes late in the day and keeps me at the office through the evening.

I hope you finally got it and that your not stuck at work all night!!!!

New Accounts on MHH have to be manually approved unlike here on MMC where they are automatically approved. So it's just a matter of time. I'm not sure who all can approve them but I know Jeff has been busy getting ready to do some updates here on MMC. I'm sure he will get back to you soon.
