Back for a quick minute. Made, just as I signed off before going down to the lodge, the ice cream truck came down our street playing "The Yellow Rose of Texas." He even had horse whinies at the end. No lie. I laughed so hard!!!

hey if you saw the peeps that drive ice cream trucks in this town....you'd never stop them. they look like ex cons out on parole & the trucks...just about as bad! i've been hearing them for a while too.
good a.m. ya'll!!! woke up this morn'in w/ friday on my mind!!! hhmmmm, sounds like a country song huh?
me & my daughter will be jamm'in to "finally friday" from george jones about 8:10 a.m. on the way to school this morning.
well my oldest got back together w/ his girl yesterday. i should've figured it. i just want him to be happy. they're still young!!
let me tell you what my mama did yesterday. we had my middle child's b-day cake on sunday (just a box mix). mama & daddy came over too. mama told Seth, "babe, i'll make you a cake next week". now i know ya'll don't know this, but my mama, Miss Shirley, makes AWESOME cakes & is known for them here. well that lit his world up when his mawmaw told him that.
anyhoo, we all had forgotten about it i guess & then she called yesterday & told hubby to tell Seth his cake would be ready in about 20 minutes. he was tickled to death!!! needless to say our diet was put on hold for the evening. it was a pound cake & CAN'T NOBODY MAKE A POUND CAKE LIKE MAMA!! while she was @ the beach taking care of my sister, she made my b-i-l 3 or 4 cakes over about 4 weeks time. he's not a big heavy guy either, tall but slender.
i have an awesome mama!!!!! my daddy's pretty awesome too!!! & i'm not partial one bit huh? lol
well time to wake up baby girl, gotta get her breakfast ready 1st so i'll talk to ya'll this evening. i pray each of you guys has a wonderful Friday!!!! wooooo-hoooooo!:???:

it is "Look Alike Day" !!

Oh Boy! It's Look Alike Day. Time to look like somebody else.....copycat.
Today's a day to find someone you really look up to, and try to look like them. Start with the hair. Cut and style your hair, as needed, to look like the person you've selected to look like. Then, select items from your wardrobe (or buy some new clothes!) that your lookalike wears. Along the way, make sure to practice and copy their walk, their talk, and their facial expressions. In other words. try to be as identical to that person as possible. Who should you look like? Anyone you want. Its as simple as that. Pick an actor or actress, a singer, a politician, family member or friend

Just wanted to elaborate on 1 thing real quick. Ya'll don't care but wanted to explain this.
My oldest (22) son's girlfriend is just that...a girl friend.
My son's (20) fiance is ,well, his fiance. I wasn't talking about them when i said they had broken up & gotten back together.
We like my oldest son's g.friend fine but our soon to be d-i-l is like another daughter to us. I'm really not partial it's just that jazz(g.friend) doesn't come around much & hasn't been in our lives as long.
Amber (fiance) is very close to us, is here all the time, always doing things w/ us, & has been in our lives quite awhile now.
After looking over this post it makes me sound like 1 of those horribly wicked monster in law's but i promise i'm not!!! You believe me, right?:%
