My brother's boss just let him know that the higher-ups of the company feel that his job is now "unnecessary" and he will probably lose his job at the end of this year.

Well that sucks but at least they gave him plenty of notice. I hope he can find something else before then.

An hour left of the work week!! I have not stated packing yet but I will in the morning. I plan to leave around 8am and get to Tallahassee around 10 am. Brandi is working all weekend grading papers and getting ready for finals. The last day of school is 2 weeks away,although the University here is having graduation next sat(may5th) BTW VSU where are you???there are so many old pals here who I have lost touch with over the course of this year. Anyhow I hope everyone is having a good day....I will talk to you guys later!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I NEED A HAIRCUT!! I've needed one for a couple weeks now, but for some reason I haven't been able to get an appointment worked out.

I used to go to the local barber shop. You know, with the rotating pole outside, and you go in and shoot the breeze with the other guys till it's your turn. You could even get a straight-razor shave and a hot towel! I miss that.

A friend's wife opened a beauty parlor (as we call it here in the south), and he hinted that I should support his wife with my business. I didn't mind at first, but now it takes forever to get an appointment...forget about just walking in...and no shave...and no talcum powder! Shoot, I have to stop her every time before she puts hairspray in my hair!

We'll see how this one turns out today at 4:30. She could at least put out a couple hunting magazines. I've read all the Cosompolitan, Glamor, and Redbook I can stand!

The stuffed flounder is in the oven and should be done in 25 minutes! I am eating seafood tonight. brandi and Jordan are gone to a baseball game,brandi is over the "batgirls" for the guys high school baseball team so she has been busy with that this spring. It's a beautiful but warm day....this weekend we begin our journey into the 90's and will probably be there until late september!!! might as well enjoy it I guess. I am glad this work week is over though. I hope everyone is having a good thursday so far!

I was at a thrift store this afternoon and found 2 plastic canvas kits for Christmas. Gave them both to my duaghter who loves to do this kind of craft.

i sure hope Brandi has some type of hard shell to put around Jordan, don't want any balls hitting that baby now!!!! i bet she's got tons of ladies wanting to help her w/ him @ the games. have a great weekend housesitting!!!!

Long day today, but I did have time to stop in a few thrift stores while I was on my way home. I found four Christmas cookbooks to add to my collection :???:

Well I have eaten so much I can hear it sloshing around in my stomach....(sigh) now I have to wash some clothes,and pack.. I think I will wait till the morning to pack...men are funny now I think about it when it comes to packing....like I just get a grocery bag and throw some undies and tshirts in the bag and im set...Women on the other hand usually folds thier clothes nice and neat and packs them away in a suitcase...I guess that is why it takes me 5 minutes to pack for a trip and brandi an hour.oh well,I keep telling snowball we are going on a trip in the morning and he is getting excited.I get the funniest looks when I drive with him because his head almost comes through the sunroof of my car. If I open in he will even stand up on his hind legs and poke his head out the top. Well I still have some catching up here to do,have a good evening everyone!

I spent this evening with DH and the kids and we had a good time. Nothing beats family time!

Well I was thinking about going hiking this weekend but I think I better stay home. The spring turkey season opened yesterday and 3 hunters have already shot other hunters. I guess they didn't get the memo about seeing your target before pulling the trigger.

Wow that is terrible!!! speaking of turkeys I drive down a country road every morning before I get in the expressway at 5am and a wild turkey ran out in front of me and shattered my grill and busted out my headlights....poor turkey....some people have hit deer on that road too...

Wow that must have been a nice size turkey. My great uncle hit a deer one time in his ford ranger. It wasn't pretty. The truck was totaled. He said the only good thing was he got the ultimate revenge. The police let him keep the deer and the meat fed them for months.
