A new film directed by one of the writers of Superman Returns, and produced by Bryan Singer, is coming out this October. Trick R' Treat involves four seperate but intertwining stories all set on Oct 31st. Trailers for the movie can be seen online now, although I cannot find an official movie site yet.
Sideshow Toys will be releasing a figure based on one of the characters named "Sam."

Looks good, but will it be good?

Hopefully its entertaining for the entire family

I guess if the entire family is nuts...

My wife already told me she's freaked out by the trailer. I guess that means she won't be seeing Halloween with me either.

Oh ok.. I havent seen the trailer.. dial up makes it hard... so I guess the kids wont be seeing this one.

Oh, yeah, this won't be one for kiddos. The trailer does look good and from what I've read on these baords you're a horror fan so you should like it.

Another link to it. I must say I'm very impressed, doesn't seem to be run-of-the-mill or torture-related, two very good things. I laughed when they showed the kid in the Superman outfit in the beginning. I was like "Brian, you sly dog" cheesy

I've yet to get tired of that trailer. And I agree, unlike many horror films this one "appears" to have a head on its shoulders (at least for now;-)) and clearly plays up to what many of us love about the holiday. A fantastic array of imagery, just please let there be some content, a fully realized story perhaps??

While im waiting for these to load.. it looks like its not going to be released until 08

Oh boy I was wrong! Its out October 5th! Perfect timing :) I would rather go see this one then the other Halloween movie.. gonna tell hubby we have a date on the 5th!
The trailer finally fully loaded for me after over 40 minutes... its looks really good and scary... not gorey, which is even better that its not!

Wow that must must be brutal, I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have DSL.

Yeah we use to have Cable Modem but then we moved here where they dont offer it... you get used to it.. gonna get DSL someday :)

I'll pray for that. 8)

This one actually looks like it might be worth the price of the movie ticket!!!!

Comes out in two days! No promotion, what's up with that?

DEFINATELY NOT a movie that I will be seeing!

It's apparently a compilation of four shorter films.

1. A girl and her friends meet what I think is a vampire at a Halloween party.
2. A couple learn not to disregard the tradition of not blowing out Jack-o-lanterns.
3. A group of kids play a prank about a legend of when a Halloween schoolbus got destroyed and are haunted by the kids of it.
4. An old man obsessed with Halloween gets visited by a supernatural trick-or-treater.

I must say... I LOVE IT!!! It's like those old cartoons that scared me as a kid, or Goosebumps, except one step higher!! I literally can't wait!! :D :D

are they actually showing new episodes of goosebumps? I thought they stopped those awhile back

No, they aren't. But fortunately for me since I only saw two episodes, they are reairing the entire series on Cartoon Network.

Now if we could only get Are You Afraid of the Dark back into syndication...

Thinking of going to see this movie tomorrow night.. has anyone seen any reviews on it yet?
