Tomorrow at 12:30pm my 3.5 day weekend begins. Woooohoooo! My foot really needs it. JP has his first baseball game tomorrow, I am so excited for him. We have been working with him on his fielding and hitting, more so on his fielding, because he has been hitting the ball hard since he was 3 years old. The coach has already taken notice of his hitting, and has pitched a little faster to him. His coach is a former AAA minor league baseball player, and he sees some talent there. (sorry for bragging, proud dad here cheesy ) I am watching South Park right now, just a little laughter before bed.

Good news! $100 will be going to Santa's Sleigh as a result of the snowflakes afghan auction! More than I anticipated. Thank You to everyone who participated!

I don't know when yet, but I'll be making another afghan to auction for Santa's Sleigh. I'm in the middle of making one for a wedding gift just now.

I would donate a cake, but they are really hard to mail!
Love the idea of an auction to raise money, maybe more could pitch in with items and make this the highest year ever for fund raising!

Good morning! What a cool (40º) but beautiful morning in Ohio! We had another great day at the Pines, now it's time to look ahead into the weekend...WOO HOO!

MerryCary - awesome about the afghan bringing in $100! Well worth every penny. It was beautiful!! I'm working my way towards finishing an afghan I had started a long while back & never finished. It's a time consuming, fun past time!

Jennifer91 - I am so sorry to hear about your friends Dad. What a shock - just awful. Sending prayers your way!

My best friend's dad died today, he was only in his 40's. He was using a bucket truck to cut down a tree and accidentally hit a power line. He was electrocuted and did not survive. I am completely mortified, horrified, and I don't even know what I can say or do for my friend and her family. Prayers are appreciated.

I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. Prayers going out for that family, and fo you.

Thank you everyone for your prayers, my friend's family would appreciate them!

Even though I wasn't in the best of moods last night, I still watched my typical Wednesday night TV shows with my mom. My favorite show came on at 10 PM and I do have to say that it completely cheered me up, at least for the hour. The episode was about New Years Eve and all of the character's homes were decorated for Christmas with trees, wreaths, garland, etc. It was snowing and all of the windows had frost on them. It put me in the Christmas spirit, that's for sure!

My mom made a comment saying that she wished it were Christmas and I agreed with her. She said, "Our house is never cozier than at Christmastime." It's the truth! I think everyone feels that way who loves Christmas as we all do. There is nothing that makes me feel more at home and comfy than sitting around with the decorations and enjoying them. This sounds silly, but my mom and I refuse to travel around the holidays because we don't want to miss any time that we could be enjoying the decorations!! They seem like they have to come down so quickly, so we try to make them last as long as possible.

My ex-boyfriend and I started dating in September two years ago. We decorated my house before Thanksgiving for Christmas. My boyfriend practically lived at my house and was over all of the time. I remember him telling my mom that he loved being at my house so much and that he never had a nicer Christmas. She told me that he said we make Christmas last and so special. It was nice to hear :]

All of this talk and the cold weather today makes me want to curl up with a blanket, a mug of hot chocolate, and watch a Christmas movie!

was way too tired last night to post. worked long hours & came home to a not so neat home. got very angry & kind'a went off on the kids. well, this morning i feel pretty yucky about that. they did do some things & the 1 that wasn't here, turns out, was working overtime too. i guess it boils down to not enough time in a day. really owe my kids an apology.
Merry your right sometimes there is just not enough hours in a day
And yes somtimes you take it out on those closest to you , but am sure they will be find.. maybe a big hug wood help for them..
how is everyone? i noticed the Christmas spirit is coming alive in many of you.after this week i think things will finally slow down & i hope to find it too. i Have it bad this week..lol

jennifer every word you say i can relate to..my house comes alive in december with friends to.. i hate going anywhere in december to. i think there is no matter place than my own home at christmas.. am sure there is better but to me theres not ...

The Avengers was great!! I loved it! That one is definitely going in my video library when it comes out. They showed the trailers for Batman and Prometheus, two more movies I've been anticipating. Oohh, and G.I. Joe, too! Oh yeah, and The Expendables 2...with CHUCK NORRIS!!
