Christmas Countdown - 2012

Good morning,

Just sitting watching Bacon Paradise from Travel Channel, the thing about these shows they always make me hungry. I think I will make some chocolate covered bacon for my brother in law's birthday, he has always wanted to try that. Heck, who am I kidding, I want to try it too. cheesy

I love chocolate, and I LOOOOVE bacon...but I can't imagine them together.

Bacon and peanut butter on toast. Sounds weird, but it's a darn good sandwich!

A summer hire brought in some candied (sugar-glazed) bacon a couple years ago. It was ... interesting.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends! TGIF!

I see we had another two new members who've posted in the introductions forum. I just love to read posts from new members who are just beginning to realize that they are not alone in their obsession with...er, love for...Christmas! I remember that feeling, when I found this place, and all you wonderful friends! The Introductions forum is the first place I look everytime I log on.

Tomorrow is my Saturday at Bernie's so breakfast and coffee will be ready early! Seawaters is supposed to get the Lear jet fueled up this afternoon, so anyone who wants to join us for breakfast, just let her know!

Chocolate covered bacon sounds like it would be delicious !! But I guess I will never know since I quit eating red meat 20+ years ago.....:sad:

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm day here in central Indy with a high of 75 degrees. I ran to a few yard sales this morning to look for Christmas stuff but didn't find anything worthwhile. Now I am off to babysit again. I haven't talked to my sister but hopefully my niece is in a better mood today. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good morning MMC!!!

I know I have not posted in a dogs year, hmmm, is that really a saying??? Or did I just mess up one... HA, HA, HA...

Well, I missed you all so much, it has been just busy!!! I am still working at the New WTC, no longer the Freedom tower, we still call it that from time to time. My boss was on the news when we reached the tallest building height the other week, that was cool. Yup, still working with my families business too. So to say it is CRAZY is an understatement. My free time is spent hiking and camping, I do not even turn on an electronic device. I need the reprieve from it. My Snicker's is doing well had her check-up at the vet, all is good, she even lost some much needed weight, she was 65 lbs, she has a small frame so last year the vet asked me to get her down to 60 -62 lbs and I am happy to day she came it at 62.4 LBS!!! We were all happy, and I didn't cut out her favorite treat which is Bananas she just LOVES them. My health and hubby's is all good, ***knocking on wood*** the kitties and my little budgie are all well too!!! Now, moving right along we are having our April weather in May this year as we had our May weather in April!!! It was sunny and warm all April hardly rained at all, yet here we are in May and it has rained and has been very cool.

Well, phone is starting to ring and work beckons... I will keep ***peeking in*** to see what you are all doing and up to.

Good morning, Christmas family

It is chilly here today....I actually have the heat on !! It makes me want Christmas even more. It was two weeks ago that we lost Ivy. I don't know why this one seems harder than the rest......

I hope everyone is doing well. ((((Hugs)))) to all especially Ella, Snowball, Snickers, Penny, Pocket, Palmer, Mouse, Gomez and siblings, Chico and siblings, Victor, Scooby, Sasha and all furkids everywhere. xo

never had chocolate covered bacon, but may make some and give it a try!

as for sandwhiches, a peanutbutter and miriclewhip one is really good!

I could never give up meat, i see a field of cows and get a knife and fork!

I think the salty and sweet together would be excellent, one of our favorite snacks for movies is Sour Patch Kids and buttery, salty popcorn. It satisfies all your taste buds at once. Sour, sweet, and salty, surprisingly yummy. cheesy
