Good morning,

Just doing my usual Wednesday morning bit, resting before work. I am watching this documentary called "What Would Jesus Buy?" I honestly don't know to take it seriously or just laugh my butt off. It is about a guy named Reverend Billy & the Stop Shopping Choir. He goes around at Christmastime to stores to get people to stop shopping. I saw Christmas in the description and recorded it, I wasn't expecting this.

I have to get up and get my dinner ready for tonight and my other routines set before I get going.

Enjoy the Pines!

You no i have never knew who this woman was until i hear you going on about her so had to look her up
Is she the same lady that sung on one of the home alone films??

Yep! That's her.

Well, my Friends.
Carl informs me, in honor of passing the half way mark on our Christmas journey, EVERYTHING at the 'Pines will be half off (after the first complimentary fired twinkie and beverage choice.)

Half off of Coffee!!!!!! I'm on my way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another warm day here in central Indy with a high around 80 degrees. It looks like temps in the upper 80's this weekend. So I'll be spending a lot of time indoors. Today is my only day off from babysitting so I have to run to the grocery store. I might even stop by hobby lobby to check for christmas stuff. Then it will be off to the Pines for some milestone fun. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

We went to Nancy's parents' for supper last night. They were frying the fish that Jacob and Bernie caught a coupe days ago. I don't really care for fish, but we had plenty of grits, and Mrs. Hilda cooked up some canned salmon in the cast iron skillet with butter. You put that on your grits, and voila'! Supper!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Yes. Playing with those wonderful sons.

More like cleaning up booger noses, ha! Colds in warm weather are the pits!

I'm with you on the high 80s - see ya INSIDE! I hibernate when it's above 80! I think I might try some new recipes and start Christmas crafting!

I'm a Northeastern gal who is a vegetarian and even I think that food sounds delish!

I have been on a couple of cruises but I actually prefer train travel over that. It's not near as luxurious as going on a cruise ship and you get a much better menu of food on a cruise. We always book a roomette when traveling a long distance and especially staying overnight. It can actually cost more than going on a cruise if you get a roomette but I love to have a bed to sleep in and a shower is nice! It also includes all your meals when you get a roomette but like I said, there is a lot more variety and 24/7 food on a ship. The train serves 3 meals a day and if you want more you have to purchase from the snack bar which is kinda junky food to me but no biggie. I am not knocking going on a cruise because I still love that too and hope to go on another!

My all time favorite train trip was from Chicago to Emeryville, California which we stayed on the train for 3 days and it takes you through the Colorado mountains.

My mother keeps hoping Amtrak will have one to take us to Vegas. (Her favorite place). They have yet added a station there where you live but they do offer a shuttle to Los Angeles to hop on the train there.

Sounds fabulous!! I bet that trip to Chicago was beautiful.
I'm going to add that to my bucket list!! Thanks for the info.

My friend went through an early "mid-life" crisis a few years back. She quit her job, took out all of her savings, and traveled around the U.S. by train. Her most favorite trip ever!!

:sparkle:

Good Morning, MMC!!

It's going to be another HOT day here! We should have highs @ 85 - 90 degrees, but we're way ahead of schedule with high @ 102 degrees. Yuck.

So, I just daydream about this:

Happy Wednesday, everyone! We are at the middle of the week already. It goes by so quickly anymore, huh?

I am simply having a relaxing day today. I laid out in the sun for a while earlier on in the afternoon, but it started to get cloudy and looked like it was going to rain. I didn't get very much sun, but at least I got to enjoy it while it lasted! We seem to be having much more mild temperatures than everyone else. It is 76° out right now and I don't think that it is supposed to get much warmer. I love when the temperature is in the upper seventies, if it gets into the mid eighties I roast! Some people love the heat but it makes me want to lounge around and read a book. Last summer I had to go to a graduation party outside at a park and it was in the upper nineties with one hundred percent humidity - it was miserable. I was literally dumping bottles of water on myself!

I have been busy with work and my friends have been too. It hasn't left much time for fun, but hopefully that changes or work lightens up. I might meet a friend for a drink sometime this week which would be fun.

There are tons of good sales at the grocery store this week for summery foods, so I think we're going to be grilling out at some point this weekend. I love grilling out :]

It's raining and cloudy again today ... after this we're supposed to have warm, sunny weather for a few days. Well, it's about time!

Count me in!
Maybe Christmasstar can make up a special loose-leaf 'Pines blend? I'll bring my tea ball ...

sounds good doll!! c'mon!

you're gonna think this is crazy, but i've never been to a Hobby Lobby. there's 1 in a town nearby but when i'm up there it's usually for something particular & no time or $ for extra stuff. oh well, maybe i'll check it out soon.

I never heard of a Hobby Lobby before, so I went on-line and checked out their web site. It sort of reminds me of a Michaels or the old Franks Nursery and Crafts store. I'll have to check one out when I can...

Mmmm, a 'Pines tea blend sounds soooo lovely. Can someone make some ginger snaps to go along with it? One of my favorite ways to spend a fall afternoon is dipping ginger snaps into a hot cup of tea, curled up with a good book!

Oh, oh!
There you go giving Carl ideas again for coffee blends.

Good evening, MMC!
