Christmas Countdown - 2012

[Holiday]

Good afternoon! I just wanted to drop in to say "hey!" We have had the most beautiful weather in Ohio the last week, I have been outside every single minute possible!! I had to stay late at work today, so I thought this was my opportunity to check in! I hope you are all doing well!!

I got the garden planted, flowers at home are planted, flowers at the lake are planted, I have pulled weeds all the way around the house & around the grotto. I have managed to get a bike ride in every night this week (I need to build up them bicycle muscles again..WEW!) It has been a successful week at home!

Carl was looking - uh - lovely yesterday!!!

Hey everyone. How are you all doing? I'm okay. I've been sick over the past 2 days. Last night I was supposed to work and I had to call off, which as I've told you guys before, I hate doing. I work tonight too, which I'm supposed to be on a 5 days stretch, so I am trying to get my energy back, slowly. I had a fever and the whole 9 yards again of the flu - second time in a few months.

What has everyone else been up to? I am slowly getting caught up on the posts and I am trying to reply to them all. It may take me a few more days, but I will read each of them!

Nothing else going on here. Hope everyone enjoyed the Pines yesterday. Sorry I couldn't make it. I'll be there next week!

Very busy day here, treating my wife like a queen for Mother's day. I made her chocolate chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, cleaned the kitchen, grilled some hot dogs for lunch took her out for ice cream,then cooked her dinner.

I am sleepy tonight.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've working like crazy around here, trying to make sure I'm caught up for our weeklong trip to Orlando next week. The boss always panics when he realizes I'll be out for a week, and he starts dumping all this work on me that's not due for months..LOL!

In my job, I design and sell a product to power companies like Georgia Power, South Carolina Electric & Gas, all the EMC's in NC, etc. These projects stretch out for months, so right now I'm working on jobs due in October and November. I LOVE seeing fall delivery dates on purchase orders, and talking with folks in May about arranging deliveries around Thanksgiving! It makes me want to light my Mulled Cider candles. :mrgreen:

Your boss wants to make sure you earn your money lol
Am the same in a way when i see a best befour date and if its says nov or dec i always think of christmas....what stopping you lighting your mulled cider candles..

A friend of mine passed away, his father went to wake him up this morning and found him dead. There have been so many deaths around here lately, it's very sad. I especially hate hearing of someone so young passing. It really gives meaning to the statement that life is short so live it with no regrets and not to waste time fighting and being angry with people.

I just went out for a bite so now that I am home I am probably going to get some work and cleaning done. I hope everyone is having a good week so far, I am going to try my best to be around more!

Thanks for the info! I used to buy loose tea but I've slacked off in recent years... I've been eyeing up new tea infuser thingies so you've encouraged me to just go buy one!

I saw one at Zehnder's I wanted - it is shaped like a teapot cheesy

Have you tried Tisano cacao tea? It's loose "tea" (actually an herbal tea) made from cacao shells that tastes like dark chocolate! It's heavenly with a splash of milk and a little sugar---all the chocolate without so much fat.

You've got me in the mood for a cup of tea now. At this hour it'll have to be decaf, though!

I'm going to get some of that tea - oh my gosh does that sound yummy!!!

I never heard of a Hobby Lobby before, so I went on-line and checked out their web site. It sort of reminds me of a Michaels or the old Franks Nursery and Crafts store. I'll have to check one out when I can...

I miss that store - it was such a fun place to go at Christmas!

Today was Garage Sale Fest in Frankenmuth and I was there before 8 a.m. Boy, it got crowded quick! I walked over 3.8 miles while hunting down deals. Found some vintage glassware I can put in the store and some cookbooks. I saw a lot of items I would like to have had, but I was on a budget and on a mission today.

I have to start work in a few, so I will wish all of you a MERRY night and pleasant dreams!
