I will be hot here to, going up to 31c (88f) but with the humidity it will feel like 38c (100f) !

Normally I would just pull up my chair next to the ac, but, I have to help my daughter move today. Fortunately she does not have much to move. No furniture, just her stuff. A couple a car loads and it will be done. She will enjoy living at the student residence at the college. She also works the front desk there so no more commuting!!

I'm glad your daughter doesn't have to commute any more! Take it easy in the heat!!

A reverant Memorial Day everyone --- we're heading to Fenway this afternoon.

Couldn't get on with the computer this morning --- the main forum page failed to finish loading, even after refreshing and restarting the browser. I'll try again this evening after the game.

Have fun at the game, Merry!

Now, time for my post.....

GOOD MORNING, MMC! Hope everyone is up and going this morning. Got my coffee made and now I'm celebrating May 25th (yeah, I know it was Friday), but I didn't get to celebrate it on Friday. I'm sitting here watching a couple of Christmas movies and taking it easy. I will do that until around 10 or 11 and then I will start working in the yard. If you plan on going outside today, stay cool!

Take it easy out in the heat, coach! Have fun, too!!!

What time is dinner??? =)

6 p.m. - come on over!

I hope you all have a blessed day. Think Merry Thoughts and enjoy it!

Does Christmas Vacation ever get old?

No!

Good morning Christmas family. Just having some coffee and getting prepared (or as prepared as one can be)for a goober-filled day as I have to work today. There will probably be no radiology because if the holiday so that leaves goobers and on a holiday it is usually the worst of the worst. Wish me luck !! I will have to tell you all later how I wound with TWO IPODS when I have more time. Meanwhile have a wonderful Memorial Day and a special thank you to my late father, brother and first husband who were all veterans. xo

Take care Christmas family !!

Good luck with your potential goobers, CM3! I hope your work day is stress-free!!!

Happy Memorial Day, everyone. Thanks to the men and women that serve currently, those that have previously served, and the ones that have sadly passed while serving our country.

My family is just taking it easy today, seeing as we grilled out all weekend long and had company. We have tons of delicious leftovers, so I will have plenty to eat. My dad went out this morning and bought pastries, so I had a yummy breakfast, too. It is beautiful outside so far. It is already warm and humid. I might go for a walk or a run later, but I need to wait until the sun sets because it is supposed to be in the 90's today. Hopefully I don't roast my behind off today, the air conditioner is already on!

My summer class starts soon and I am not looking forward to it. It is a math related course. I am very much a right brained person, so I like things dealing with history or language arts, not math or science. Oh well, at least it's only one class and I can still enjoy my summer.

To everyone that has the day off -- enjoy it, relax, and take it easy! For those of you that work -- don't work too hard, it'll be the weekend again before you know it.

Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning, MMC. Just a quick post to thank all our current service people and all the veterans, living and gone on to rewards. Our thanks, though, are not really enough; but it is all we can do, besides pray.

hey there! going to be too hot outside today so i'll do all i can to stay indoors. my hubby's daughter & her friend are suppose to come over too. not sure why but she comes around about 1 month out of the year. not always the same time each year but....we love her to pieces & she does us but after growing up w/ her dad & living w/ her dad her whole life she decided @ 15 to move to her mom's. let's just say it was the biggest mistake for everyone-especially hubby's daughter! she's all grown up now-30.she has an unstable lifestyle.

anyhoo her brother & sister love seeing her but she makes a habit of promising things & not following through. has done this for 15 years so i get upset when i see them upset. i just keep quiet though & try to explain to them the best i can. my kids are much older now so they seem to "get it".

didn't mean to get into that, sorry. feeling a little distant from my family( except my kids) today & do not feel like having company over.

have a good day everyone. thanks to all our veterans out there!!!!!

Good afternoon,

We just got home from the parade, JP and his Den were marching right behind the Veterans, they stopped at all the cemeteries and gave a 21 gun salute, and all the Cub scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Adventure Scouts all saluted during each moment of silence. They marched to the towns Memorial Hall and did one last salute and sang the National Anthem as the flag was being raised. Also, halfway through the parade they stopped at the Civil War obelisk and read The Gettysburg Address. I was shocked at how few people came out to watch the parade (fewer than 200) it was quote a moving ceremony.

Thank you to all of our troops and veterans.

Have a good day.

I haven't been on here in a while, I won't even try to catch up with all of the posts. Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Memorial Day and say God bless all of those who served and are serving and to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country and our freedom. Also don't forget the families of the soldiers, and airmen and sailors.

Does Christmas Vacation ever get old?

What an honor to be in that parade. I bet the JP really liked that!

Wayne and I just got home a little bit ago from my job and it was fun to see all the critters greet us as we came in especially the guinea pigs! The guinea pigs squeal so loud when I come in wanting their food!

We are going to find something else to do today. :wiggy:

He loved it, he gets to march in the 4th of July Summerfest parade with his troop again, that is a BIG deal in this town, especially since last year's Summerfest and parade were canceled due to the tornado. So it will be a very big deal this year

Good evening!
Im listening to the Merry Podcast, and try to catch up here =]

I ate to much for lunch and now I'm ready for a nap.

It is so hot!

I am in the same boat as you, and I don't like it! I don't mind the temperatures being in the lower to mid eighties, but it reached 99 degrees out today. I was outside for five minutes talking to my dad and I was already dying hot. My mom and I had to run to the store so we started the car to get the air conditioning running for a while. The drive to the store is only 10 minutes and it didn't start to get nice and cold until the ride home. It is so uncomfortable.

I am turning into a complainer! I usually laugh when people complain all winter long that they can't wait for the summer, and then when summer comes around they say it's too hot and they can't wait for cooler temperatures. That's definitely me today!

Give me 75-80 degrees and I swear I will be happy.

Goodnight to all my wonderful Christmas friends :hi:

goodnight irishsnow!! take care friend!!!

What a day! Perfect weather, sunny, warm but not to warm, and a little breeze. Pre-game at Fenway, they had a color guard and dropped a huge flag over the Green Monster for the National Anthem, which was played by a military brass quintet. Good game, some exciting plays, and the Sox won 7 to 4 in plenty of time to catch the train. Catching some "Pawn Stars" now. Gee, I hate to go back to the office tomorrow---and I've got a dental checkup besides.
