Hey all!

Just hanging out with the wife. We are watching UFO stuff on Netflix...I'm such a geek when it comes to this stuff, but it's interesting. I'm not going to say I do or I don't believe in UFO's, but I am open-minded.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be as lazy as possible. My plans are to get up in the morning, pick up the house, and then do nothing. I'm getting ready for some time off and I feel like I need to practice being lazy.

Hope everyone had a great Saturday. See you tomorrow!

6 months ago....we were here watching Darlene Love....

6 months from now, excitement will be running rampant through the board!

Howdy all,

yep I'm back and I'm really glad to be here. I need some cheering up!!! I explained why I haven't been here in the home and family. and Christmas to me will NEVER be the same. if I could right now I would give everyone a big hug. and I sound silly so Ill end this here and just say I'll be back tomorrow.

I haven't read the why, but here's a hug-you-back.

Wish frequently that I could hug you all myself.

Good late afternoon, Christmas friends. The temps have been great today, so I plan to heat up the oven to make some peanut butter cookies after dinner. I am trying a new recipe that uses sweetened condensed milk and Bisquick. Today is Tiffany's birthday, and she is coming to visit tomorrow; so I thought I would have a tasty treat for her. TTYL

Yum--- could you share that in the recipe thread?

End of another day in the US's rainiest city. Breakfast at Ken's House of Pancakes, lunch at the Lava Rock in Volcano, ice cream at Baskin-Robbins, and a movie at home with Gloria and her kitties. Mr. is packing up some souvenirs and gifts to send home, including the coconut tea. Miss you all--- by the time I get here, most of you are in bed and asleep. Sweet dreams!

Unreal......
..........yet so true.
(Just check out our post #1 chart.)

Warm and humid weather, punctuated by short rain storms, continues.
A typical pattern for this time of year here in central NC.
Currently, my handy-dandy digital thermometer reads 71.0 degrees.

Okie-Dokie!
You have Super-Duper Sunday, Folks.
Get all rested up to begin the 2nd half of our journey to Christmas starting tomorrow.
(Still can't believe that!)

Getting ready for a bunch of people to come over to watch the fireworks with us, nature just put a fireworks show of her own that lasted more than 2 hours, it is clear bright and sunny now.
I am looking to July 4th! Sounds like fun to enjoy it early!

Amazing that we are there!!!

Wayne and I went to Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Garden Ridge yesterday.

Hobby Lobby added more Christmas goodies and had 2 rows of Fall decor. The aisle smelled so good with their fall candles!

Garden Ridge had quite a bit of Christmas items, Fall decor and several rows of Halloween items.

Michaels had a half row of Fall decor out but it's a start!

{{{lilnoelelf}}} - I'm glad to see you back!

it is so easy to make, my recipe is in the MMC cookbook.
You can do it with raw eggs or the cooked version (I make the cooked)

Maybe tomorrow!

Happy Birthday to Tiffany! Those cookies sound yummy!

Hello everyone, I hope tonight finds everyone in good health and spirits.

Today I attended a funeral for my grandmothers sister, I hadn't seen her in a while and I feel so bad, they had a really nice picture slides that was really hard to see cause I'm such a crybaby, but it brought back lots of nice memories of my grandaunt, and grandma who I lost back in Dec 2001. But on a lighter note I did see lots of family members who I haven't seen in a while so that part was nice. Well I know she's in a better place and with her sister.

I hope everyone has a good night and sweet dreams.

I get that feeling a lot, too!

Good morning, MMC!

cheesy

I know it's cheesy, but I just think about what I will be doing six months from today and I am so excited. This time in 6 months, I'm going to be at Mom's, with the fireplace going, Christmas music playing, making the big meal and sweets, my brother and his wife will be there.....it just makes me so full of anticipation.

There is going to be a lot of fun in the next 6 months.

I was thinking about it this morning too!! Then I relaized how much work there is too do before then and I started freaking out because I'm so far behind where I would like to be.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be a hot one here in central Indy with a high of 91 today. Then tomorrow it really cools off with a high of 78. I have a few hours to kill since it's a late race today. So I think I'm going to crank the Christmas music up and start planning out what candies and cookies I'm going to make this year. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

(Stay tuned for breaking CIJ news shortly after midnight)

Hey all! Happy Last Sunday in June!!!!! It's been pouring down all weekend but that hasn't stopped the weddings. Another 4 yesterday; one bride almost blew away!!!

Now, for those who don't get out of the Countdown much, I thought I'd bring something to your attention. We're now taking names for the very first Christmas in July (e) Card exchange. You can find all the details HERE! It's on a much smaller scale than the regular December one and is focussing mostly on ecards BUT you are more than welcome to do a real card as well, if you wish.

As I said, go to the link and have a read; it'll be fun and the Mo' the Merrier (always thought that would be a good forum name for me!!!)

:D
