He did well, he can handle the heat, his hat was soaked through though but we made sure he had a bottle of Gatorade while marching. I had a water bottle that also works as a mister too keep us cool.

Another hot day but no humidity today, that will be back tomorrow. It felt so good working in my cooler today, and even working in my -10F freezer too, nice and refreshing. My wife and I are going to a Beatles tribute band concert Saturday night, i forgot all about it until she reminded me today. That should be fun. I am looking forward to Christmas in July, I just need some Christmas soon.

Awww... You are so sweet, Merry. By the time I read this (which is now at 10:53 p.m.) my husband had picked up his truck 7 hours earlier. Total price tag $1700..........Feeling pretty discouraged. We really could not afford that kind of money for a vehicle repair but what can you do ??

What a day !! There was plenty of non-gooberish dictation to type but in the middle of my third report, my keyboard and mouse both stopped working !! They were a set I got which were wirelss. I tried to get them working and eventually had to switch over to a regular old keyboard and mouse but by that time I had missed a whole hour of work. I tend to get panicky when I am supposed to working and I am not. I called work and let them know what was happening and they were fine with it but I was still panicked. When I finally got back on I think I was going about a million miles an hour to try and catch up. I don't really know why I even switched to a wireless set up. I think I am actually a little faster on the keyboard I went back to today.
There are a couple of rather large hawks hanging around outside in the daytime. If they think they are going to get hold of my Wish, they have another think coming. They'll be an early Thanksigiving dinner if they even try. I love all animals but if they threaten my Furchild, their feathered behinds are MINE. Wish really doesn't go out much anymore anyway and I always go with him when he does. I will be on the look out you can bet on it !! As the saying sort of goes...."Heck has no fury like a caninemom's scorn........" Those birds dont EVEN want to mess with me.
I can't wait til next Friday when I hopefully get my allergy shot. It will be nice to breath again. Much better, it will be nice to LAY DOWN and sleep instead of sitting up all night wheezing....!!!!

the job is going well even though my body is really having a hard time with it. So much to learn but they tell me I am doing very well.
My first 7 hour shift today, so will see how it goes. I am ready to drop after 5 hours!

Its strange here at work. Nobody is calling in. The whole week its been 6 seconds in between calls. I like it this way. Man I need a break. I see more people are listening to Christmas music to beat the heat. Good idea! I think I over heard Carl saying he is burning us Christmas cds for the Pines next week! I wonder what he will put on my cd? Today was the first time ever I bought a loto max ticket. I was feeling lucky and I heard that the dollar prize was insane! Last night Ashley and I were watching tv. It was about 11:45pm. Who gets up? William. LOL. Sheesh. He wanders downstairs and sits beside us. Half awake. Doesn't say a thing, just sits there. Had to put him back to bed lol. Also helped Ashley's friend to convert her power point file into a dvd. Whats with the hot weather? Its driving me nuts. No relief yet from it. Oh well. I hope everyone has a great day today and an awesome weekend!!

Another day staying home because of the heat. I have to keep changing the outdoor fur kids water as their bowls are heating up so fast the water is undrinkable. Poor babies! I have several cats and kittens missing. I hope they are just hiding out in a cool spot - that is usually what they do during days like these.
Right now it is comfortable in the house - the northern and western windows are open and cooler air (less than 86 which is the indoor temperature at the moment) is flowing in. I also found a fan we had used years ago and it is going in the kitchen. I was so happy it still worked! I'm trying to get as much cool air inside as possible before I shut all the windows. I also found a box fan, but it needs major cleaning and I have to unscrew the front and back to get at the inside. Unfortunately, the house gremlin seems to have hidden all the screwdrivers on me :lol:

Friday hello! It's hard being at work today ... the roads are practically empty because of people taking a long weekend. But about four hours' worth of proofs are coming in this afternoon earmarked for me, so I gotta stiffen up and get it done.
Thinking of buying a bicycle to pedal around the neighborhood for fun and exercise. Nothing fancy, just one speed with coaster brakes. We went to Walmart last night, but nobody there knew anything about the bicycles. We're going to try again tomorrow when there's somebody there who can answer my questions and let me look at a few.

i do hope you find a bike you like. i love those kind you're talking about. none of the bells, whistles, speed, & shiny bits just a regular bike. my daddy comes across them sometimes & i always take them for a spin around before he sells them.
