Snow-in-Texas and I never made it out to the Christmas store yesterday. We had so many errands to run in the morning and that store is almost an hour drive away so we decided to wait until we can get an earlier start next weekend, hopefully.

We went ahead and took a stroll around the mall. All I could think of is the places the Christmas trees are set up at and the spot where Santa usually sits was full of plants. It's funny how we both visualized Christmas walking around it. This mall only decorates with live Christmas trees throughout, it's beautiful. You will not see any artificial trees at all. We went to lunch afterward.

I was sound asleep before 9:00 last night and got up at 5:00 am this morning.

I am drinking some coffee now and ready to start my day.

Wayne and I just got back from taking our daily walk. I am so happy that the weather feels nice in the morning. Usually in July it's too hot to walk, even in the morning.

We have thunderstorms predicted all week which is unusual as well. It rarely rains in July here. Looking forward to it. Time to cozy up in the house this week and listen to Christmas music!

Watching the Wimbledon final...............and I think I'm going to have to turn it off!!! It's only the first set and I'm scared to look. The amount of pressure put on Andy Murray by the media is ridiculous and I think he'll buckle under it. That and the fact Federer has already won it 7 times!!!

Sunday hello! Expecting mid-80s and lots of sunshine today! It would be a great day for the bicycle, but I had to postpone that ... I want to order one online and have it shipped to the local store for assembly, but the expected delivery date is while we're away for a few days, so I'll order it next weekend so it'll arrive when we get back. (With my short legs, I'll be getting a girls' bike with 24-inch wheels ... I don't like the girly-girly paint and decals, but it'll be more comfortable to ride.) Will it fit into the car trunk so we can get it home when it's assembled? Probably not, but I guess we'll think of something ...

I enjoy catching up with you guys on a Sunday morning. Only now I wish I had a cat and a cup of tea! The tea I can get, but not the cat. However, Cat (the neighbor's cat) was out and around the neighborhood last night, so I went out and said hello and sat down and petted him/her for a while, and then s/he followed me back to the house for some more petting and some kitty treats. I miss Gloria's kitties, Suki and Pumpkin.

I have a big window in the kitchen that is in the sun from 11am until it sets, I have a black fleece blanket that I hang over one of those spring loaded curtain rods that fits nicely into the window frame. It is amazing how much heat that keeps out. The blinds fit in front of it to hide the blanket.
A nice big quilt would do the same thing and you would only need to keep it up until the sun is off the window.
