Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!!! After 13 days of temps above 95 degrees we are finally going to see some slight relief today with a high of 89 degrees. Still hotter than I like but better than before. Now if we could get just get some rain. I am wore out after watching my niece's most of the weekend but I have some errands to run today. I need to run to walmart so maybe I'll check out hobby lobby while I'm out. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, that is the last time I am listening to her!! Take red bull she said, will help you get through your sift she said......it is 12:30 in the morning and that stuff still has not worn off!!!! Never again...and I drank that at 5:30 this afternoon.

maybe I should do like the cat and just run around the house a few dozen times.

Better stick to tea, I guess! I've never tried Red Bull, and it looks now like I never will!

A kitten would be more destructive than a mature cat. There are plenty of sweet mature ones that need homes badly! If you could find one age 2 years and up you can bypass the "getting into stuff" age. Not that they wouldn't knock something over once in awhile but not as bad as a little kitten would do.

Just a thought!

If it were just me, that's just what I'd probably do. (I get a little pang when I see the signs at the local pet store for the kitty adoption agency info sessions!) But I know Mr. would have no patience with a cat damaging, scattering, sleeping on, or destroying some of his stuff. (He grew up with dogs and understands their "language," but he's leery of cats because he can't "read" them as he does dogs.) We have a small house, so all the shelf space and then some is packed. Kitty wouldn't have enough space to jump up without risk of knocking something down. Maybe someday when I'm retired and can supervise!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I love going to the mountains, but there's something to be said for coming home, too. I missed Bellville, my family, and Lulu! Lulu didn't get to come with us since we had small children and such a carload of people, so she stayed with my mom. She loves it out in the country, where she can run and play all she wants.

On the last night of our vacation, the A/C broke. Even though we were in the mountains, they've had a heat wave, too. Whew, that was a long night! We ran to WalMart for some box fans to put in the windows, but they didn't really help until after around midnight. Yesterday we had to wash linens, vacuum, clean up in the heat...ugh. Now I have to arrange getting the A/C fixed from another state. LOL But we really had a good trip.

I'm glad to be home, though. We're supposed to have a few more days of 100° temperatures, but then it's supposed to ease off. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Monday hello! This will be the first full five-day workweek I've had since the middle of June, thanks to vacation and the July Fourth holiday. So I have to get used to having the nose back to the grindstone for a full week! Hugs and smiles to everyone.

I can totally relate to that, I have a serious case of the "Monday's" and to add insult to injury, we were abruptly woken up at 3:30 this morning by a thunderstorm and needless to say, I could not get back to sleep. So, I got up and went to work; (not one of my brightest ideas)! it's going to be a really long day today!!! I think its about time to get another cup of coffee, put the headphones, turn up the Christmas music and daydream of an old-fashioned country Christmas....

Howdy all,
Sunday evening here and the family has all ate supper and now the kids are all singing or playing or doing what they do. it's been storming here in our part of Louisiana, and I'm really glad to see the rain. I Rekkon I'm strange cause I love rainy days lol. Guess it reminds me of fall of the year and cooler weather. It so seems as if I don't slow down anymore and to be honest this place and my friends here are my saving grace. so thanks y'all for that!!!


Got a busy week ahead and we are hoping the job that my husband is up for, he will get it. we will know Wed. evening. so cross your fingers and say a little prayer for us!!!! If he does get the job it would mean a BIG pay raise, and us being able to make it better. and I know he so wants this job.



Well all I'll leave this one for now and I will be back tomorrow. until then may everything be merry and bright in your part of the world!

Monday again. another week nearer to christmas.
Hope you all had a good weekend . mine was ok. went out saturday night with friends and was fun. yesterday went to a bbq and only there about a hour and my mobile rung and it was my nephew asking wood i come up to the house as the mum and dad were having issues.
I went up, what a pair. one was laying half tight and the other is a nervous rack..but i seen it coming as these 2 have been having probelms this 4 years and either will admit the marriage is over. they just make each other so unhappy.
My pallets have just landed so to work i must go.. no rest for the wicked
So you all take care and hugs to all furbabies

i feel really bad for their kids. it's sad when the children have to call someone to come over & sort things out. don't work too hard shelliegirl.

I have done similar to what you have done......was awakened by something and decided to get to work.....Funny thing about 5 minutes after I was there I could have gone right back to sleep !! sounds like you have a great plan with the Christmas music and thinking of a country Christmas !!!
