Good Tuesday morning everyone!

Last day of July! Good riddance. Its been too hot. But they said the same thing about August on the radio this morning. Boo for August. Oh well, one more month till September and relief! On the weekend we went to Story Book Gardens and saw Scooby Doo and the gang! William loved it, aww heck so did I. Its sad to see all the animals missing from there. When I was little it was full of them, but as my Dad told me, it cant stay the same from when I was little. Strange thing is, they didn't have ANY Scooby Doo shirts or merchandise. Strange! I have been keeping my eye out for Christmas stuff in the stores, I have my ipod on hand just in case I need to snap a picture! Well back to work I go! Hope everyone has a great day! I hear Carl is blending a candy cane coffee for us coffee drinkers!

Good morning, Christmas family

I am sitting here with my Hermione drinking my coffee. In just an hour I have to get on for work. All is in readiness for training tomorrow for the new job. It should take only an hour and then after that back to the old job for my regular shift.

I hope I am doing the right thing by leaving my old company. I have tried and tried and tried to get them to compromise and they just won't and I really don't want to be stuck working Noon to 9 p.m. Monday - Friday the rest of my life. I wonder if I am being unreasonable ? What if the new company doesn't have enough work ? Oh my. I am going to quit thinking about it and just go on with my plans..........

I have been looking for an Autumn siggy ....th one I have now is pretty but I think it is too small........So I guess I will be changing it !!

Everyone have a very, very Christmassy day !!

Good morning!
We just had a funeral here for a little crow baby.
It came here yesterday, looking for protection, I guess.
It's strange that birds seek out to us humans when they are injured.
Crying for help..

While many many other Crows was trying to kill him.
Why do they do that?

So the boys fed him, and took care of him all day.
Even after I thought they were sleeping, they were out to watch over the little crow.

They tried to hide him before they got to bed yesterday.
BUT our neighbours cat did find it...
So the boys are so sad, they fall in love with the little birdie..

Well, thats life I guess. A bird who cant fly, do not survive long.
I wish I could take him in, but who does that? LOL

So we had a funeral and the bird is now in heaven..
And I told the boys that the bird is so thankful and grateful for
that they tried to look after him. And that they cared. And Im sure he is...

I'm sending my oldest daughter (14) to Bulgaria today!
I have to deliver here at the airport in an hour.
A little bit anxious (I am) But I believe she will be fine...
She is travelling with my oldest sister and her son, my nephew.

They are staying for two weeks.
While my daughter is flying home after a week (alone)
She probably get to know some other kids/families who are travelling that day.
(my sister will follow her to the airport of course)
But she is still my little baby, and a mother always worries right?


So, what happens here? Any plans for the day?

You're such a good mom! I bet your kids were crushed, but that was wonderful for you you to do that for the kids.

Good afternoon, everyone and how are you? I am well. Today is my off! All is well here! DH and I are taking the kids to the drive-in tonight. Ice Age 4 is the first move playing, which looks very cute, so I am excited about that. I think EA will really like it.

Not much going on here in my neck of the woods. Can't believe tomorrow is the first day of August. Summer is really flying by. Fall will truly be here before we know it and I can't wait!

What is new with everyone else? I hope to read a good bit of the posts tomorrow. DH will be working, so that means the kids will be scheduled for daycare. I won't have much going on tomorrow, so I think I will have a good bit of time on my hands...lol.

Well, off to do some reading now. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. God Bless. Thinking of all of you and your families and furbabies! Keep those smiles on your faces! :grin:

Enjoy the drive-in, I enjoy going to those but it's been 12 years since we went. The last time we went to the drive-in was in Lake George, NY the same week of vacation I asked my wife to marry me. Hmmm, now that I think of it I asked her to marry me on August 3, 2000, that anniversary is this week. WOW, time flies!

Back from the beach, the kids loved it and we brought home some snails to "raise" in a fish tank. I started my laundry and then the clouds rolled in, I have to hang them out to dry because our dryer crapped out on us this weekend. It is always something. cheesy

Congrats on that! Do you have a drive-in anywhere close to your home? I bet your kids would love it. The closest one to us is about 40 minutes away, but very worth it. It's only $6.00 a person for adults and our kids are free. The food is so cheap too, plus there is two movies. We never stay for both though, since they are always asleep and that is just too late for them.

Ohhh yes, when it gets closer to Fall, I feel like I'm coming up out of my shell. It is by far, my most favorite time of the year (besides Christmas of course) with the cool crisp mornings, chilly nights where you can have a bon-fire without the bugs eating you up alive, good snuggling weather with you favorite other half, pumpkins, fall colors, breaking out the flannel jacket and watching It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown... Yea baby, bring it on......

 

[Holiday]

We got a little RAIN!!!! Not much! Probably not even enough to get me out of mowing grass! BUT it has been a long time since it has rained when I was at home. Not that we have had much rain at all this year - but when it does rain it seems I am always at work. I'm getting ready to make a peach pie. I was hoping to be inside baking when the rain was coming down, but the sun is already coming out again. Darn!!!!

MerryCarey - our neighbor at the lake has brought molasses cookies up the last 2 weekends. Oh what a taste of fall & the holidays. LOVE IT! And all the things you mentioned! Cinnamon...gingerbread...bring on the candles!!!

CM3 - you will do great at your new job!! Just think positive! No looking back!

Its hard to believe in 31 days we'll be in the ber's. It's hard to beleive tomorrow is August!!

According to Google maps the closest one to us is 28.2 miles due south in Mansfield, Connecticut, about a 45 minute trip. The good thing is it is on the same road that runs through the center of my town, no turns, down RT 32.

My kids don't do well with staying up late, they are early birds, most days they are up before 6am. The later they go to bed for some strange reason they get up earlier the next day. I can't explain that.
