Christmas Countdown - 2012

According to Google maps the closest one to us is 28.2 miles due south in Mansfield, Connecticut, about a 45 minute trip. The good thing is it is on the same road that runs through the center of my town, no turns, down RT 32.

My kids don't do well with staying up late, they are early birds, most days they are up before 6am. The later they go to bed for some strange reason they get up earlier the next day. I can't explain that.

Yea, I can understand what you mean by that. My kids can be the same way, too. Most of the time though, they usually sleep in, thank goodness. Hopefully, as your kids get older, maybe they will change and you can take them some day and you guys can enjoy it as a family!

Work is going slow..but it's raining out!!! Very excited abouth that!
We have humidity, but I don't care, the rain is really cooling things down And the dark clouds are so pretty!

I was at the dollar tree store yesterday, and they have their fall ou! I got so excited @ that. I bought some pretty little ceramic pumpkins & gourds for the kitchen table, and a cute little black cat & pumpkin snowglobe for my desk.

I'm in the mood for a spooky movie & some mulled cider!

Does fall affect anyone else this way?---I get a yen for gingerbread, cinnamon, and other sugar-and-spice things. I only seem to care for them in the fall and winter months.

Today is my off! All is well here! DH and I are taking the kids to the drive-in tonight. Ice Age 4 is the first move playing, which looks very cute, so I am excited about that. I think EA will really like it.

what a crazy day at work! I came in, the order had arrived and not put away properly. The inspector had been in. Nothing was in the pull fridge (this is a small fridge behind the counter were you can quickly grab another bin of what ever you need to make subs) There was a mountain of dirty dishes to do.
On top of it, when I came in everyone left (did I need a shower or something????!!!!)
Then the customers started coming, a steady stream and by myself it was a challenge.
Finally the young man who works there came in and hour early and I talked him into staying to help. I let him look after the customers while I filled the pull fridge as quickly as possible. Well the darling emailed the boss and told her what was going on. She showed up about 1/2 hour later with 2 of our best workers and they quickly stepped up to help get everything caught up.
By the time I left it was getting better until we ran out of baked bread! Oye!!
I had already put a bunch out of the freezer to thaw and turned on the over and proofer (where the bread goes to rise) so by the time I did leave we had 20 baked, and 30 in the proofer and another 60 in the defroster.
For some reason I am tired now!
I want a raise!!!

Gosh, can yall believe it? Today is the last day of July? Wow. It seems like yesterday we were just getting done with April.

This is when I start to really get excited. My wife starts getting excited, my Mom starts getting excited, Hobby Lobby gets everything out....and we are closing in on the 'Bers....school starts, football (American) starts, and things will cool off....well...maybe not cool off. But if we can get through this month, we are home free.

Getting back to the end is always exciting....
