Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! After an overnight low in the 60's, we are headed towards a record setting high of 100 degree's today. How many more days until winter starts? I need to run to walmart for a few things and then I have to start hunting out my camping gear. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kandice is down with Tonsillitis....well she was down yesterday.....suddenly she told me she wanted to sleep...which surprised me...and she did...for more than an hour in the afternoon....when she woke up...I felt that her forehead and legs and the entire body was much warmer than usual...I took her temperature and it was around 38.5 degrees celsius....a low fever....then 30minutes later it was at 38.7.......so i decided to take her to the doctor....there she had a fever of 39 degrees and the doctor found out her throat was reddened a little...but no pain yet...he took some spit on a q-tip and did a quicktest and found bacterias on it....turned out it was angina tonsillitis...she is now on antibiotics...and since we went to the doctor so early...she felt fine in the morning and doesnt really know she is sick.....lol...another day of resting tomorrow and she will be allowed to go to pre-school on Friday....and then next week...will be her last week of pre-school ever.....on August 14th...Kandice will officially be a 1st grader....time is passing by quickly and i dont know if I like it....lol

glad you caught it early and she is feeling better!

Just stopping by for a sec. I have really been sick!!! Nausea, aches, fatigue and all that fun stuff. Still trying to fight it! I know I need to get to the doctor soon if this don't clear up but don't wanna go!

While resting I have been watching the Olympics. I sure am enjoying it!

What big news have I missed on here? I know I am WAYYYY behind.

We can completely understand that, with the south, midwest and east under drought conditions. It would be nice if it would turn North/ East and not cause any damage to anyone and that it turns into a big rain maker and not a high wind, nasty storm that produces tornadoes, hail or anything like that, just a nice long lasting soaking rain....

That is a great movie, along with Holiday Inn. I'm a huge fan on Bing Crosby's Christmas music and movies.

apparently the heat did not stop at the boarder, some of it got through! Going up to 30c (86f) with humidex bringing it up to 36c (95f)
Not happy to see the humidity back.

Booked a yard sale for Saturday morning and then looked at my schedule...I have to work from 10 till 5! Oops. Now I will have to see if I can switch with someone. If not, I will surprise my daughter and let her know she is on her own running it!

thank you everyone, as you can see I made it through! I am learning quickly that there is a core group there who all want to run the place their way! LOL Would make a great TV show!

On top of it all, I got tagged by a mystery shopper, you know those folks they send out to see if you actually do what you are supposed to do. I got an 87% mark for my service, missed asking if they wanted to get a meal deal. Of course they never mention I was there alone with a long line of customers!!! Oh well, 87% is better than I did in high school!
She also had the never to say I was over 60!!!!!!!!! I want to talk to her!

Oh, of all nights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some people have nerve!!!

Guess what?? I actually wore a long sleeve T-shirt on my morning walk today!! It was chilly!!! BUT it's supposed to be 93º this afternoon, so it was short lived!!! Was great walking weather though!!!

has anyone ever made the mexican/taco ring on the crescent roll cans? they are very good & my kids love making them (w/ my help)! they look like "sunshine" as you begin putting them together. anyhoo, we did a cheeseburger ring tonight. my son says it's very good.

Good Thursday morning all!

Another hot hot day today. Sheesh. But I DID sign up for the 2012 Christmas card exchange! I cant wait for that. Its fun to see the cards from all over the world! Last year I had 2 duplicate Charlie Brown Christmas cards. William even got into it. Well. As to say he took the Charlie Brown card and claimed it his own lol. Kids eh? Well back to work I go. Nothing new. Just going to wrap my Wife's gift soon! Have a great day all!

Forgot to mention - last night my sister said they went to see "Ted" while they were on vacation. Before the movie they showed previews of the upcoming Christmas movies...she said they were all trash :?: She said they are not what she would consider a CHRISTMAS movie! BUT my other sister mentioned there is one coming out - something about "Hope"? & apparently that was not one of the preview movies. I haven't even looked to see what the new movies are this year! I need to do that!

Do I need to come down there and drag you to the doctor? You've been sick for over a week now.

Be careful with that, my wife works in the ER lab and general lab of two hospitals and she has come home in the past week, telling me that people are coming into the ER sick and are testing positive for the Flu (believe that one - it's crazy) and there's a nasty little bug (virus) that's floating around as well (so wash those hands).....
