@Solice: I just saw that you are from Norway. How cool ist that? One day I would like to travel to Norway. I also have some friends who are living there. Hope I will get better soon and I wish you and your family (especially your mother) a wonderful day!

@Holiday: Yesterday the temperature were around 68° degree fahrenheit. I felt like it was really cold because on my holiday I had temperature were around 90° to 104° degree fahrenheit. Today its back to mid 70° degree, which is normal for Switzerland.

@caninemom3:I wish you all the best for your new job.

Actually the whole "christmas in july" - action is pretty new to me. I was amazed seeing all those christmas decorations in the shops and the christmas movies on Hallmark during my holiday. We don't have anything similar here. It is cool, unfortunately I didn't had enough space in my luggage to bring some christmas decorations back home. I bough to much clothes and shoes and books.

(Incredible - just incredible.)

A bit of rain yesterday evening cooled things off a bit.
We show 74 degrees here this morning.

Hi All!

I'm back! Around this time, last week, I was in Grand Rapids, Michigan cheering on (or competing against) my fellow transplant recipients. I had a blast!! I won a bronze medal in the 1500m racewalk in my age group!!


Also in the news? I GOT A DOG!!! I got her last Friday!!! Her name is Missy, she's a Cairn Terrier/Mix, she turns 2 in October, and we're still trying to find our rhythm together. She's a cutie!!

I know what your problem is....you are so far in to Christmas already that you see nothing but snow everywhere!!!

I forgot my camera yesterday and could not turn on my phone or else I would have a mega bill for roaming charges!
When I walked in to the store there was this 12 foot tall Christmas tree front and center covered in fall decorations, looked beautiful!
this is what I did pick up there....

used to paint different decorations with the kids when they were small and then date the back. When I saw these just had to get 4 of them and do it again with them for Christmas this year.

The company's insurance provider came today to draw blood, take blood pressure, etc. If they only knew how much blood has been drawn out of me recently....

We've been getting some pretty good rain around here lately, thank the Lord! There are still mud puddles in my yard. It's been a long time.

There's no quick-and-dirty course---most of it comes from experience---but here's a good tip. Get a long envelope (or something like it) and use it to read one line at a time, masking what's below it. That way you're focused on a specific area without being distracted by the rest of the page. You're more likely to spot any errors that way because you're focused and reading more slowly. Use your finger to follow syllable by syllable if it helps.

I don't know where to ask this question exactly so I will ask here. I am sorry if it is in the wrong spot.......Has anyone ever had trouble viewing videos from Youtube ?? I am not having any trouble at all on the Youtube site itself, just if I try to view videos FROM Youtube.......What happens is when I start to play one......the center of the screen goes totally white. I can still here the music but just a white screen.

I have noticed that if I right click while the video is playing the settings for Adobe flash come up and I can see the picture then. As soon as I close the settings the screen is white again....I am stumped !!

I have followed the steps on the Adobe site and adjusted the settings and even uninstailled it and reinstalled it. Still no picture. I don't understand. I used to watch the videos from there just fine. At least I can still go right to Youtube and watch them......

I don't know much about Flash ... I would have said update or reinstall Flash, but you've already done that. Hello, you IT types, help!

Good evening, Christmas family !!

The very first day on my new job and it was pretty good !! When I first got on this morning, there was no work but after about an hour or so there was and it was fine. Still a few concerns but I think it will work out okay. Right now I am only allowed to type 3 reports and then await feedback on them. I won't be able to afford that too many days in a row but hopefully I can get off what they call "100 QA" (which means all my reports are being scrutinized right now) in just a day or so.....It felt like home though. Everyone pretty nice and helpful and they don't bug you !! Also, QA is picky but I don't think too picky. I just hope it all works out......As far as I can tell, there isn't all that much wrong with my reports at this point, just silly small things but I still need to correct them. I am SO GLAD to be rid of 12-9 Monday - Friday......So Keep crossing your fingers and EVERYTHING for just a little longer..xoxo

IDK about that!...because I thought about sending it back after reading some reviews online. I still hadn't got it beginning of last week, and was thinking @ not even opening it. They don't even play the complete song..but my friend talked me into opening it, and I fell in love w/ it. Even w/ it not playing the whole song. It just leads into the next one pretty nicely. Still annoyed @ the song thing, because they didn't mention that part on QVC!! Nice, huh?! Conveniently left that out..they use some excuse @ the chip inside not being large enough for the whole song, but it's probably really a copyright thing. I truly wish it wasn't still awesome

I just got back from a city council meeting. My house is two blocks from the school my kids attend. When I pulled into my driveway, I saw bathed in the glow of football field lights! I turned my A/C up and pretended it was fall football season!

Had a nice day doing some shopping in Port Huron today.
Went to a Hobby Lobby and now know what you are all talking about. They had a huge corner full of everything Christmas.
My son wanted to go to Big Boy for lunch, so we did. I did not really like it to much, way to greasy for me. My son however loved it!
Went to JC Penny, Khols, Target and Walmart with my daughter looking for some new clothes for her.
On the way home we got to watch these for awhile...

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It was beautiful out last night. It got down into the low 60's which was perfect. Sitting around a citronella candle instead of a campfire just wasn't the same though. Today we are heading into the woods to hike an 8 mile part of the knobstone trail. I wish I would have brought my camera. There is one part of the trail that takes you to the top of a hill that overlooks all of the countryside. It's beautiful. We use to stop there and eat lunch when we were in scouts. Well I'm off. I'll try to check back in later if I have any energy left. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon everyone!

It's Tuesday. The first day of the workweek for me and many fellow Ontarians. I like four day weeks. I had a real busy weekend. On Friday we drove to Gaithersburg, Maryland for our tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Following our play on Sunday, we drove back. In all, it was about 19 to 20 hours of driving. Unfortunately, for me, I didn't play a whole lot. I've been dealing with patellar tendonitis ("jumper's knee") for much of the season and it acted up a lot on Saturday, which forced me to help on the sidelines... Although we also didn't have the result we wanted, it was a good time.

Despite returning to work today, I am a little excited. My mom and her husband are in Ottawa tomorrow. As mentioned before, I have not seen them since Christmas. I spoke with my mom yesterday and she sounded real excited to make the trip. It's always great to see my mom. Although I am working, I will see her in the evening each night. They're here until Sunday, so we have to squeeze in as much as we can! Normally, I wouldn't see her until Christmas - again - after this, however, I believe that she might be coming in October to see Bruce Springsteen with Kim and I.... Tickets are not yet on sale, so that hasn't been finalized. I'm sure it will happen though!

I can't believe that count we have! Only a week away until our next milestone!? 3/4 to the Season!? How can it be?! Actually, I have read that a few friends are seeing stores with Halloween stuff up already. We're only one Holiday away from our favourite coming out in full force! The times are flying by! 98 Days until everything Christmas.

Well, I should get back to work. I'd love to respond to some posts, but I left early on Friday with a bit of a pile on my desk. I need to fix it. Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone!
