[Holiday]

I'm back!! It got up to 98 degree's here today so I couldn't convince my friends to walk around Nashville looking for Christmas stuff. That's okay though because I think we were all to full of fried biscuits and apple butter to do to much walking. I'm off to see how mom's first day of work went and then I'm heading to the pines where hopefully I can get caught up.

hey y'all. things are not going good here right now. should've been a regular wednesday but noooo....

had the a/c guys out & the plumber @ the same time today. huge bummer!!!!!!huge cost!!!!!!!! daughter had a filling done just last week & is having pain now & extreme sensitivity w/ the tooth. this dentist is not @ all my choice so you can imagine my comments on that. she has to go sit there tomorrow & be fitted in to have it looked @ & probably redone. !@#$%^&*()*&^

dermatolgists office called & said the spot he tested last week is a superficial cancer. can someone tell me what this means? she did explain it's just in the top layer & i have to go back & have more removed & will have a few stitches. i thought i had lots of spots that looked just like that 1. i am gonna have him take a 2nd look to make sure.

trust me i know things could be a whole lot worse. house is still @ 80 degrees. trying to cool back down.

My question to those who have one. Do you still like it and is it still functioning well?

We have the Keurig Platinum Plus brewer. We've had it for about five months now and we absolutely love it. There are four of us in my family, so that machine gets some good use every day! It is still in perfect condition (now I'll have to knock on wood so I don't jinx it lol!) and we've had no problems. We've only had one issue ever, and it was so minimal. My mom always brews herself a 10 oz cup of coffee and the one day it came out as an 8 oz. That just messed up the taste for her a little bit because it was stronger than she likes. Other than that, it's been good! We drink just about everything in my house - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cider, etc. This machine was probably the best purchase we've made in the past six months. It's much easier for everyone in my house since we all get up to work or go to school. A pot of coffee no longer sits there and has to be warmed up or have a fresh pot made. It's nice because everyone can make themselves a cup whenever they'd like. Plus there is no mess :] I love it! Now that I'm done rambling I think I'll go make myself something!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I went to see the cardiologist yesterday, and he says I'm looking good. I can even have a little salt...YIPPEE!!! I had no idea how good salt was until it was taken away. I'm still planning to use it only sparingly, but a little goes a long way!

We have the Keurig Platinum Plus brewer. We've had it for about five months now and we absolutely love it. There are four of us in my family, so that machine gets some good use every day! That's good to know and we did buy the Platinum Plus. We went to a Williams Sonoma and looked at their brewers. They have their own and said that people complain all the time that Keurig breaks down too easily but with their brewers the cheapest one is about $200.00! You have to buy their k-cups only. Their k-cups cost a fortune. I am not knocking their product and I am sure it's great but we don't have that kind of money. It would only be Wayne and I using it and we don't drink that much coffee so I think it should hold up well. The only other time it would be used by others is during the holidays.

Keurig question! Wayne and I had talked about getting a Keurig off and on for a year, well last night we made my very first ever QVC purchase and we bought one. It's the Keurig Platinum Plus and last night only they had a GREAT BUY! It's back to full price today but it comes with 64 k-cups and a filter to put your own coffee in and a water filter starter kit. I notice today not only did it go up in price but it only comes with 48 k-cups. They had the, 4 easy pays, which makes it more affordable for us to buy so we went for it!

What a great thing to buy on Pines Day! I am so excited to finally get one. We have one at work and it makes great coffee!

My question to those who have one. Do you still like it and is it still functioning well?

MerryCarey, with the purchase of Keurig they have, Gloria Jean's Hazelnut Coffee? Is that your actress friend, Gloria!?

I got a Keurig in November 2011 & I LOVE it!!! I also have the Platinum - I'm not sure if it's a platinum plus? It is working just perfectly...and I love my coffee, so it gets used...every day...2-3 times! My favorite coffee is Donut House! I hope you enjoy yours too. So convenient!

Thinking of you. I know how fatigue can affect you. I will find out about my surgery on Aug. 21st and will plan my infusion accordingly.

You can find the mini Keurig brewers for around 80.00 - K cups at Kohls usually 12.00... I keep a supply of at least 16 boxes... usually lasts me for a day or so,.....

I've only had mine for a year, but YES, I love it!!! Like I said in an earlier post, I am amazed at the wonderful flavor of decaf. Hot chocolate is great, too.

Good morning my Christmas pals! It is a dreary day in Ohio! We had rain this morning & there is a chance all day/night. Right now it's just dreary! It's fitting for me today as we took our friend out for her birthday last night & I'm a little sleepy today! I think it was those darn margarita's at the Mexican restaurant! I need to thank mother nature for the rain this morning - we got home at 12:15 & when my alarm went off at 5am for our morning walk I heard the sweet sound of rain. I turned off my alarm & back to dream land I went! :smile:

Nothing exciting going on here today - just working & wishing I was at home getting some of my canning & cleaning done. I just plugged in my candle warmer with "red berries & cedar" in it. Can't wait for it to start smelling Christmassy in here!
