Off to get the kids ready for bed, then I have to get ready for work myself, once my sister gets here. Hope everyone is having an enjoyable evening!

Talk to you all tomorrow - I plan on coming home in the morning and sticking broccoli and cheese soup in the crockpot, at least this is my plan! DH will be off for 4 days now, but you just never know!

hey y'all! well up & @'em early this morning....daughter's 1st day back to school. wow the summer flew by. she's a junior this year. my baby girl is growing fast, as they all do i guess.

was going to reply to so many more but my clicker didn't work right.


well i better go i hear daughter calling to me. until she gets back in a routine it's usually like this, running around & finding things, doing things for her.

Good morning, MMC!

We are experiencing the weather we usually get in late September/early October ~ it is very cool and foggy out right now. And unusually quiet here. Bo, Palmer and Mouse are still sleeping ~ I can get a lot done before I start work today. Work is keeping me home ~ store stock and a few hours of data entry business with my other job. I'll be able to make a batch up of Made's tomato sauce, too. Since I have fur kids in the house, I will not leave a crock pot on while I am gone. I know it is supposed to be a safe thing to do, but with them in the house, I won't.

Good morning, MMC!

I was on the phone for 45 minutes attempting to schedule and it was a complete disaster. Apparently, half of the classes that I want are now "controlled" which means that people from different campuses are no longer allowed to take them. This is going to be a huge problem for me because now I'm going to have to take these classes, no matter the days of the week or the times, in the spring and next fall. As for the other classes I tried to get, everything was completely full. I just had no luck this morning, even though I was prepared with schedule numbers and everything.

Looks like I'll have a busy semester on campus.

It was so foggy out this morning that it almost looked like a whiteout from snow, I wish!

It feels great outside!!!! I've been sitting out with my nieghbors for the last 2 hours and it actually got chilly when the wind picked up. Now if it would just stay this way instead of getting back up into the 90's later this week.

Very Nice!!!! This is very close to what I use (A scaled down version); for a marinade for Venison except that I add a bit of Worcestershire sauce, a can of beer, hot pepper flakes and little bit of soy sauce to all of the above.... Thanks!

Your sauce sounds delicious !! I see you are from Maryland...At one time right after my first wedding I lived in La Plata !! The folks I work for now are in Rockville, Maryland !!

Well, I expect now that I'm enjoying whizzing around the neighborhood on it enjoying myself, the paint job might grow on me!

Thanks for asking, and thank you so much for your prayers. Mr. tells me that FIL is getting quite frail. He still spends most of his time sitting up in a chair watching the TV as he dozes on and off. Occasionally he's lucid, but then again he can be vague. He DOES recognize the people around him, and even refers to them by family nicknames. It's hard to get him to go to bed and stay in bed during the night. Seems like when he's up, he wants to go to bed, and when he gets into bed, he wants to be up. I know it's wearing down Mr.'s poor mom, and Mr. too, to some extent, because he's there for several hours four or five evenings a week.

The media lab where we sent Gloria Jean's 1940s test footage to be transferred to DVD was located in Rockville, too. And I grew up in Frederick County, Maryland. What a beautiful place ... hoping to go back home for a visit next spring to finally lay my dad to rest. (Long story short, the current executor found the box with my dad's ashes in his house in Florida in June and shipped them to me; the former executor, who was removed this spring because she embezzled his estate's liquid assets, never even laid my dad to rest after he passed in October 2010. How low can you get??)

Even worse, the first executor was his own stepdaughter. But the current executor is now doing things properly, and the estate should finally be settled by the beginning of next year. It took me eight months and the services of a Florida lawyer ($$$$$) to find out why the estate wasn't being properly administered and to remove the embezzler and get a honest executor appointed. Now things are heading in the right direction.

Good evening, Christmas family.

Getting ready to turn in. It's been a long day. I knew when I signed on that as an Independent contractor I would be responsible for taking out taxes on my own. I spoke to my tax guy and almost lost my teeth ! I have to take 25% of every paycheck out for the Government. I am kind of down now. I just did not realize it was going to be that much. I just hope I can still make it financially with this job....With that much being taken out and with making less money to begin with at this job I am going to have to do a whole lot more work just to break even....

It is kind of a funny night. It is actually quite hot inside the house but outside it is on the cool side and pleasant. I have been tryng to go without air conditioning but it is not working. I hope the 'bers cools it down !!
