Special request tonight, please keep a friend of ours and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Both her parents drowned over the weekend trying to rescue their puppy. Her father had an aneurysm while swimming and her mother drowned trying to rescue him. I am so heartbroken for the whole family.

I heard about this on the news. So terribly sad! Keeping you all in my prayers!

Surgery for me tomorrow. I went to the doctor yesterday, he had a cancellation, and I am in!!!I should be home by early afternoon! Then I will get caught up on MMC.

Good luck today Seawaters! I hope your surgery goes off without a hitch! Speedy recovery too! Keeping you in my prayers!

Good morning fellow Christmas lovers! How is everyone today? I am well. Just drinkng my morning coffee and spending time with my DH and the kids. Nothing could be better!

Yesterday was a blast - we took the kids to an amusement park and they had a blast. Even at 1 year-old, DS had some rides that he could ride. By the time we could go home and had went for dinner, I had been up for 24 hours, but it was so worth it! I love times like that with my family.

Not much going on today (like normal - I like that!) I am going to make a banana nut bread, do some wash, and of course spend time with the kids. I am actually off until Sunday night, so I am so excited. It will give me a lot of time to spend with them and DH.

Well, off to read posts! I am behind on the Countdown! I will check back in later!

How awesome! Sounds like your next few days are for making memories...enjoy every minute!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! The heat has returned here to central Indy with a high of 90 predicted for today. That's okay though, because I'm not going any where. In fact I think my master plan for today is do some laundry and that's it. Well I'm sure that I'll end up do something else. Like making cookies to snack on tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning MMC!! It's another beautiful day in Ohio! It was chilly enough this morning for long sleeves, but up to high 80's this afternoon with "abundant sunshine" I'm wishing I was at home today making MerryCarey's family recipe Fruit Cake!! Hope you all have a great day!

Anyone heard from CAH? I know she wasn't feeling well & the news is going on about the West Nile Virus in Texas. I've been thinking about her & hope she's okay.

I had a horrible Christmas dream last night! In my dream I was sitting on the couch watching a TV show or a movie with my brother and when I turned to look at the Christmas tree it was completely bare. Then my brother said, "I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already" and our house had not one decoration in it!! I then turned to look out the window I saw people caroling across the street and we were the only house without lights on the street, we were the scrooges!

Talk about a nightmare lol. At least I know that'll never happen. My mom, brother, and I like Christmas far too much to ever forget about it!!

Lots of errands to run today - have a great day, everyone!!

Thats a nightmare for sure!!!! :o

I'm going to do a girl's night out w/ some friends this weekend. We will be heading down to Fremont St. for some dinner, drinks, music, and possibly the zip line. Should be lots of fun! I so need that.

Hope you enjoy yourself. I hope things get better at work soon.

I heard from her yesterday and she has just been extremely busy watching her grandkids. She was hoping to pop on soon to check in.

Hello All, I haven't been here in a while but it sure feels nice to come back to say hello to everyone. I looked at my countdown calendar today and realized with only 125 days 'til Christmas, I need to stop and look in on my Christmas Pals. I can't believe how close we are to the start of the season. So I send warm wishes to all of you as I come to join in the fun and countdown to the most wonderful time of the year !!!!

I have been wondering the same thing. I hope all is well with her!

Considering the medical privacy statements we all have to sign, I'll bet the doctor's office told her firmly that they couldn't release any information to her. The rules are very strict now about who medical offices and hospitals can release information to. Sugar the RN can probably tell you more about that.

Yes, it's referred to HIPPA - the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. I included a link that tells you lots about it.

Thanks for the update!

If memory serves me right, I think that station is run by a member here. Here he is CJ498: http://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/member.php?u=5913 He usually comes back to the forums during the 'Bers.

Thanks Xmas! I just sent him a message, asking him, "How come if you want to listen to MMC radio via Live 365, that you have to be a vip member?"! So, hopefully he can provide an answer when he comes back to the forums....

You are right. My doctor's office called me right away. That's how I found out. They would not give her the info. I will write more info tonight. On my way to the doctor!

Glad to hear it!

Merry Christmas Radio is currently available only through the links and player on the right-hand side of the forum home page. Scroll down to the green player that says "Merry Christmas Radio" and click the Play button. Above the player are links that will enable you to play it via Windows Media, WinAmp, QuickTime, or RealPlayer. Below the player are links to The Christmas Station (which you mentioned) and Sounds of Christmas, which are both available via Live365.

Thank you very much for bringing that to my attention. Your right, you can access MMC Radio from there sucessfully cheesy. The only draw back to this (if I am correct here), is that in order to listen to the MMC Radio that way, you will have to open two browsers, one to listen to the music and the other, so that you can type in the forums or to be just surfing away here in the MMC network; does this sound right or am I doing something wrong:-? ?

If you click the symbol in the upper right-hand corner of the green player on the forums homepage, the player should open in a separate window and continue to play until you close the window or your browser, regardless of where you surf in your other window(s). If the player gets in your way, you can resize it or minimize it the same as any other window. If you're finished surfing but still want to listen to MCR, just close your other browser window(s) and leave the player running.

If you really do have to take out the entire dash, then yeah it probably would cost that much to take it somewhere. It's going to be extremely tedious work to open up the wiring harness and look for the bad wire. If your husband is a electrician though, he should be able to do it.

I would start by getting an aftermarket repair manual so you'll have access to the wiring diagrams. Then I would check and make sure that they have the wire for the light on the radio wired right since it's usually on the same circuit as the dash lights. If that checks out, I really wouldn't bother with tearing apart the wiring harness trying to find the short in the wire. I would just cut it at the fuse block, the gauges, and the radio and rewire it.
