My son and I were moving some of my signs around in a neighboring town Saturday when my truck got bogged down. Before I could call anyone for help, three people stopped to help. One of them came back with a tractor on a trailer behind his truck and pulled me out. They refused any money, and wouldn't even let me buy them lunch. The man with the tractor said the handshake was thanks enough for him...wow! I got all their names, and I'm planning to write a "Letter to the Editor" of their small town newspaper, publicly thanking them
Thinking of your neighbors, Made. How old are your neighbors?
On a bright note, my daughter auditioned and got a part in The Nutcracker Ballet that Georgia Southern University puts on every year!
Good morning, Christmas friends. Three of the surrounding counties have been declared disaster areas due to the fires that have been burning lately. The smoke really affected a lot of people, in addition to the monetary damage. Hopefully, things will begin to calm down before we enter the real fire season! Have a great day, everyone!
We're taking a long Labor Day weekend to go camping. We'll go to Dollywood & Titanic Museum too. We might go to Gatlinburg or to Sevierville too, depending on what DH wants to do. It's supposed to rain all weekend because of Hurricane Issac. It rained last Labor Day too when we were camping. It gets cozy real quick in a hybrid camper with three people. I'm glad we have cable tv & a dvd player in the camper!
hey y'all! had my procedure on my leg today. doc said he doesn't think he will have to remove anymore after this.

note the leaves on the ground!
This is the time of the years when the leaves start to look tired and you know they are ready to change color anytime now!!
Good afternoon,
Woke up to pouring rain this morning, it was too wet to do the yard work, so it waits another day. It is also very humid out now also, it feels like walking through soup right now. I have to bring JP for his yearly Dr appt. So I guess it has turned into a lazy day here.
Enjoy the rest of Tuesday!
thanks, it is my favortie place to go walking!
Fall is in the air today. You can smell it! Its coming and fast. I cant wait! September 23rd my halloween stuff comes out
Here I go again! I thought I would have time to read some post but only read a few. MMC is running really slow for me right now and I gotta run!
I have a busy day and hope I can get back on here later.
Have the Merriest Day ever!!!
On a bright note, my daughter auditioned and got a part in The Nutcracker Ballet that Georgia Southern University puts on every year! She is so happy! Her best friend got a part, too, so they are tickled to death...LOL! I've never seen a Nutcracker, so this will be a good excuse to go. Of course, it also means she has to be in Statesboro for practice every Saturday and Wednesday through half of September, and all of October and November. Oh well, it makes her happy, and that's what counts
Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be another hot day here in central Indy but it looks like it will cool down this weekend. Of course it's going to be pouring down rain too. That's fine with me though. We need it. I am exhausted today. It seemed like everytime I went to sleep last night the fire department would show up and wake me up. The first time was for a lady across the street and the second time it was for my nieghbor's daughter. Apperantly she had been throwing up blood all day and not told her dad. She's been in pretty rough shape lately so she really didn't need any other problems. I haven't seen my neighbor this morning so I don't know what they figured out. Hopefully it wasn't real bad. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Right now it's 55.4F (13c) It's not that cold.
Im just cold, because im sick... =]
Last winter we had days with temperatures down to -22F (-30)
I wish it was in the 50's around here right now. I'm about sick of the 90 degree + days, the mosquittoes, cutting the grass, etc...
I'm ready for some serious Fall like weather where you can work outside and not sweat to death, where you can wear a flannel heavy shirt and take it off as needed, to be able to sit outside at night around a bon-fire; drinking a couple cold ones and cooking something over the fire....
OH yea, xmastidings is in some serious need of cooler weather...lol
Good afternoon, MMC!
It is a hot one here today. I have been taking my pain pills at full strength ~ seems to be helping. They make me so tired and restless at night.
Hi everyone!! Did everyone have a good weekend? Any plans this upcoming week?
Back to college I go tomorrow! I can't say I'm upset, but I can't say I'm happy about it either. I was getting used to just working, but now I'll have to work and have five classes. Hopefully none of my classes are that awful.
Not feeling so hot so
OH .... just came from a viewing ... our dear neighbour (original resitdent on the street) passed away ... her poor husband.. married for 68 years and said she was as beautiful now as whne he married herUGH... makes me count my blessings... and I consider this forum aka my Christmas family a big blessing in my life...
HUG your loved ones tight...
I still have a lot of pain and need the meds on time, but I feel that my body is definately responding.

That was really nice of them
I sat at my mom's house for 4 hours yesterday waiting on the Dish Network guys to come install the equipment. They say you have to be available from noon till 5pm. At 6:15pm they finally called to say they were running late, and would arrive at 9:15PM! We told them no, they'll just have to bump someone else and come tomorrow. Now, you know they knew they were going to be that late by mid-afternoon. They could have called us much earlier to tell us so we didn't have to sit there and wait. Grrrr. that wood really annoying

Goodluck to your daughter and her friend hope they got on really well at it
115 days till LOVEMAS!!!!!
YABBAAAAAAAAAAAA
Our good ol Neighbor & Mother told me to keep my cats inside, as we have some psycho driving around town PURPOSELY running cats over, "just for fun". Unfortunately, cops said they can't do anything because he's 17. I'm sorry but when you willingly take an animals life, for fun.. at the age of 17, you know what you're doing & there should be consequences!!!! It just makes me sick that there is a young man like that in our town and nothing will be done to him. Geez at the least, take away his License!!.. I just don't understand what makes people tick.
good night sugar, hope you have a good night.
hey y'all! had my procedure on my leg today. doc said he doesn't think he will have to remove anymore after this. all went smoothly. should hear something back in the next week or so. hubby was checked out too & doc said he's good to go but froze a sunspot off & removed another something. anyhoo....
leg starting to throb a little now but i promise i'll be backl more tomorrow. good night y'all!![]()
My oldest starts 2nd grade Wednesday, he is getting so big.
