FINALLY!!!!! After a 3 year pay raise freeze at work I got a raise today, and a pretty darn good one too!!! More than I expected!!!! They like me they really like me!!!cheesy:dance:

Today has been a delightful day, Left work early due to me being sick as a dog, But.. also had my one year performance appraisal (month early.. dunno why they do that) & got 4/5 overall.. with a 40cent raise! I was very pleased, my Manager had nothing but good things to say...Made me feel really appreciated!! On that note, I applied to be a department manager in the store, in Health & Beauty & in Crafts and Domestics! I am praying I get either one.. i'm nervous they think I'm too young, but I think if they give me a chance I will Surprise them!! c'mon wally world, have some faith in me!

I hope you are better soon, Britt! Good luck on getting the Dept. Manager position! How is London?

good morning y'all, My MC peeps!

hope y'all feel bright eyed & bushy tailed this a.m.:give:

i'm going into work in a bit, just wanted to stop in for a few.

1 &1/2 weeks into the school year & baby girl (16, but still my baby) is sick already. this happens every year but not usually so early in. for a few days now she's been saying she didn't feel good & was cold all the time. she came home yesterday, in 90 degree heat, & put on a hoody, sweat pants, & slippers saying she was freezing. last night after i went to sleep, hubby told me, she got sick & was throwing up. i tried to get her up this morning but instead i just gave her some meds & put her back to bed. i get off @ 1 today & we may end up @ the dr.'s office.

SOLICE, i hope today finds you better....if not, like cm3 asked- is it possible for you to go to a doctor? get well my friend!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, we really got some rain yesterday! My yard is still under water. I guess that means the bahiagrass will jump up 12" today.

Nancy took her mom to the doctor yesterday. Mrs. Hilda said she'd had some chest & back pains the night before. Since my, ah, issue last month, everyone is very aware of chest pains these days! Luckily, it seems her gall bladder is giving her some trouble. The doctor didn't find any other problems and can handle this without difficulty, thank goodness. Nancy was on the verge of a nervous breakdown at the mention of chest pains.

I think I have a Wal-Mart run in my schedule tonight. Keep me in your thoughts!

Work went well today. Everything I needed to get done did and no problems with the computer - yay! I even managed to get to an estate sale ~ I so wish I had made it there when it first opened ~ lots of goodies I could have used for the store and they were practically giving the items away.

I have a lot of housework to do and Palmer wants me to play with her so I am going to log out.

Good day before Pinesday morning to all!

Fall is in the air today. You can smell it! Its coming and fast. I cant wait! September 23rd my halloween stuff comes out. This weekend we are going to visit Dad. Should be fun. Not much is new. Looks like my new phone number is very close to some teenage girls number. I get strange random text messages with such short form words that I have a hard time understanding it. But its for some teenage girl. I keep telling them I'm not her and they have the wrong number. OH well! Question. Since I cant get the cookbook mailed to me here in Canada (Border issues), can someone scan in the page with my Grandpas Nuts and Bolts mix for me? I really really want to see what it looks like!

Good afternoon/evening, MMC! How is everyone's week going? I need to catch up on posts! I haven't had time to post since Monday morning. Kind of disappointing since I love logging in and seeing how everyone is/replying to you all!

I started back at college on Monday. My classes seem to be pretty decent overall. Only one class seems like it will be very difficult. I already have a paper and a project that are due at the end of this weekend. Another class seems like the material will be alright, but my teacher is foreign so it is very hard to understand him. The first ten minutes or so, none of the words out of his mouth actually registered. Know how Charlie Brown's teacher sounds? It was just like that - I didn't comprehend a thing. Hopefully I can get used to it. So far, I have six assignments to work on. I think it's a lot for the first week of school - especially since today is only Wednesday!

Other than that, nothing new here!

I am going to go catch up on posts now. Hope you're all well :]

On a bright note, my daughter auditioned and got a part in The Nutcracker Ballet that Georgia Southern University puts on every year! She is so happy! Her best friend got a part, too, so they are tickled to death...LOL! I've never seen a Nutcracker, so this will be a good excuse to go. Of course, it also means she has to be in Statesboro for practice every Saturday and Wednesday through half of September, and all of October and November. Oh well, it makes her happy, and that's what counts.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Three of the surrounding counties have been declared disaster areas due to the fires that have been burning lately. The smoke really affected a lot of people, in addition to the monetary damage. Hopefully, things will begin to calm down before we enter the real fire season! Have a great day, everyone!
