boy i tell ya' seawaters post really has me up in arms this a.m. how can anyone, especially a physician, deny pain meds to someone whose enduring all the treatments & surgery she is? physicians are suppose to be compassionate but NNOOOOO that's just it, some have absolutely no compassion. telling her she shouldn't be in pain....OMG, did he pull that out of his #!^**(#@!%&*? HELLO, just give her the pain meds she requested you idiot!!!!! i don't mean to speak as though seawaters isn't going to see this....this is just what's going through my mind & i think i'll bust if i don't get it out!

Yeah !!!!! Tell It !! I agree !! I bet this "doctor" would never allow himself to be in excruciating pain...Dimwit ! xo

MerryMistletoe,
You really made me laugh. The doctor did NOT call in a prescription so I went to my regular doctor and told her the situation. I told her how he had decreased my meds and then how he asked me if I want something stronger. I had told him no, I just want the regular prescription. When my regular doctor saw my bruises and all the stitches, she said, "We are going to fix this today!" I told her that I thought the other doctor was mad because I was not going through with the breast implants and was mad about missing out on all that money!!!

You have an excellent regular doctor, Seawaters ~ I hope the pain is lessening for you and that all is well! {{{HUGS}}}

Can I vent ? And ask for prayers?

I am going to the doctor tomorrow about a pain in my right leg ... I think it may be because I am all lop sided from carrying Finley on my opposite hip - in fact I had something similar when I lugged Will around ... BUT I am worried its something else... I was reading an article totally unrelated at work .. Talking about children's hospitals ... A d one of those kids had a type of cancer that affects nerve endings ... Anyways one of the songs was an ongoing leg pain

GAH... I can't stop thinking the worse now :(

I am so sorry I didn't see this until now...You most certainly can have prayers ! I know how it feels to have all the signs of something and be worried out of your mind.......Hope you feel better ! xo

What I love, though, is the anticipation, which I already feel! I love this time of year as we really "hunker" down for the season. Even with all my kids gone, I still enjoy the anticipation, the day, the sales, and the beginning of a new year. Glad to see you posting!

Thank you Undrtakr, I'm always here...just quietly reading all the wonderful Christmas thoughts from you guys. I Truly adore the Christmas season and unfortunately have no one around here that "gets it" like everyone on here does. I love the countdown everyday but it also makes me sad , because once the season gets here..it is gone so quickly that you hardly know it was ever here :( I would love it if the Christmas season lasted about 4 or 5 months....and no I don't think I would ever get tired of it :)

Thursday hello! The weather is just too beautiful to spend in the office today, but I can't do anything about it. It's sunny and comfortably warm outside, but FREEZING in here. The air conditioning broke down for a few hours Tuesday, and once it was up and running again yesterday morning they set the thermostat super-low because everyone was complaining of the heat. (Take it from me, it wasn't THAT hot. I never broke a sweat.) So I'm huddled up here with a tiny space heater and a hot beverage, looking wistfully out the window at the warm sunshine. Well, later in the morning the sun should cross my desk, and it should still be light enough to enjoy the weather when I get out of here at the end of the day! Hope your day will be as beautiful and comfortable as the weather here.

((((Merry)))) .......I remember well how this felt when I worked at the hospital. I was cold but everyone else was hot...That is just MISERABLE.....Hoping you are more comfortable at work in the coming days.......xo

Biggest congratulations ever!!! How lucky you are to be going back to four seasons!

Good Afternoon, friends~

Only one more day to get through before the weekend is officially here! Yay!!!

I have some excellent news I'd like to share! My husband (Adrian) & I are moving back to the midwest at the beginning of next year.

 :???:

He is being relocated for his job. His boss wants the charity that he is director of to have more of a centralized home base. He has homes in Nebraska & Wisconsin. And his foundation has released new food products that are being produced in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Minnesota. Proceeds of the sales go towards the charity. Adrian will be heading up the marketing of them.

We are very excited, it's a wonderful opportunity for him! And for us! Our families are back there as well =)

Can you say FOUR SEASONS?!?! We'll have snow at Christmas again!

My head is all over the place! Overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, excited! It's all happening very fast. But, it's fabulous news overall! We've wanted to get back for a long time.

We recently sold the house, and are renting until we move this winter. I will be going to Wisconsin to look at homes to rent in November. Adrian's two big charitable golf tournaments are in September & November, and they keep him extremely busy. I'll be doing a lot of the packing & preparing on my own. I'm already tired just thinking @ it, lol.

Plus, I also want to take some online classes during this time. =]

I turned in my resignation last Friday. I gave them four weeks notice.
It was kind of difficult, because I've been with my company for over six years. But, it's time to go... The future is looking bright!

Hi Christmasstar, My name is Tammy and I am mostly a lurker here at MMC . I read MMC everyday, actually...multiple times a day but rarely post. Anyway, I saw your post about burning your foot and just wanted to let you know that I am a registered nurse and we use.....don't laugh....Preperation H for burns instead of Silvadene Cream. It works great. If you burn yourself in the future...I hope you don't, but if you do , if you will apply the Prep. H as soon as possible, most of the time, it won't blister up and heals really quickly. It certainly wouldn't hurt to use it now, unless you're allergic to it, but it works best if used immediately. Just wanted to let you know that this is what we did for our patients when I worked at our medical clinic. Of course, if it is a severe burn or gets infected...see your Dr and follow his orders. Hope it heals quickly and doesn't hinder any thoughts of Christmas! Have a great day!!

This is such wonderful advice !!! Even though I am not burned, thank you !!!! xo

It is really, really nice to see you here !!! xo

We had to have a short lunch recess today because of all the heavy smoke in our area. It has really increased in the last 24 hours. Ugh!!!

. GOOD MORNING MMC!!! It's a beautiful day so far, but going up to 90º this afternoon. It always amazes me - 59º this morning - 90º this afternoon! What a change! Make it a great day everyone!!!

I know !!! It was actually COLD when I started work this morning. By afernoon, it was hot !! Good grief !!

A quick update on my neighbors daughter. She just got released from the hospital. They think it was a combination of the medicines that she was on that caused her to develop an ulcer and start bleeding. So after changing some of her meds and giving her 5 pints of blood they sent her home.

Oh dear.....I really hope she will be okay. That is a LOT of blood. xo

Good evening! How is everyone? I am well, just sitting out on the deck, enjoying the evening and spending time with my family.

Today was EA's preschool orientation. At first, I think she didn't know exactly what to think, but she warmed up to the teachers and other kids fast. She is going to have a fun year I am sure!

I didn't get to bed until 12 or so, so I am pretty tired this evening, but I work yet tonight, then I have three day weekend, since I am off the holiday. Can't wait.

Well, I am off to try to read some of the posts. I know I am behind, but know that I am thinking about each and everyone of you. God Bless.

*Praying for everyone being affected by Issac*

Good evening, MMC!

Have a MERRY evening!!!

When I was at Walmart today I asked one of the ladies stocking merchandise if any of the Christmas items had been put out yet. She gave me a big smile and said it would be soon as the Christmas trees had just come in on one of the trucks last night. Yay!!!

:???:

CM3, I hope you received good news from your accountant today!

HOLY CHICKEN TENDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:???:
It is POURING down rain here.. Honestly, Our summer is over. Once the sun disappears for more then 3 days at the end of august, our town collectively knows it's time to pack in the shorts and Bikinis. In fact, Friday i'm going to look for fall stuff:)

Today has been a delightful day, Left work early due to me being sick as a dog, But.. also had my one year performance appraisal (month early.. dunno why they do that) & got 4/5 overall.. with a 40cent raise! I was very pleased, my Manager had nothing but good things to say...Made me feel really appreciated!! On that note, I applied to be a department manager in the store, in Health & Beauty & in Crafts and Domestics! I am praying I get either one.. i'm nervous they think I'm too young, but I think if they give me a chance I will Surprise them!! c'mon wally world, have some faith in me!

Congrats on the raise!

Hope she liked it.and will like pre school what about you how did you feel

It was bittersweet for me as well. Although it was hard on me, I am glad to see her achieving so much and becoming such a great young lady. She's a great kid. I am sure it will be a lot harder on me, knowing that DS is my last baby, when he is going through all of this!
