Good afternoon, MMC! What is everyone up to? I am just relaxing - I was hoping to run out to Hobby Lobby, but don't know if I will make it there today. DH has been doing stuff around the house, then goes to work at 4:30, so I may have to go tomorrow.

What is everyone's plan for this evening? I won't be doing much. I have to make dinner and I will be spending time with my sister and kids. She will be coming to watch them for me tonight, since I will be going back tonight as well.

I've seen to caught a cold. Blahh. DH has one and he's had it for a few days. I've been trying everything to not get it, but I did. Now, both the kids are starting to get it. DS is so fussy with his. Hopefully this runs a quick course!

Well, I am off to read the rest of the boards. Talk to you guys a little later!

I think we are just going to relax this weekend! My husband has to travel for business next week, so we'll spend as much time together as possible before he goes. Probably grill out, watch movies, and maybe go for a bike ride. It's supposed to cool down, finally. Woohoo! Maybe hang out on the patio too =)

It sounds like you have an excellent week planned with your sister. HOW FUN!!! I'm sure it will be tough to leave the friends you have made at work, but it's all for the good of moving back to your family. Just keep reminding yourself of that!!! I want to join you next week...

Well my SIL Jackie is out of surgery. Text from my sister said "Extensive disease. Did total radical mastectomy & needed to insert wound vac because of amt. of tissue removed. May have to stay an extra day depending on how she does" My sis has not seen her yet. So we keep hoping & praying...

I picked up a new purse at thrift store for $3.50, loved that it was new (or close to it!) and love the style of it.
Anyway, when I got home I noticed it had a logo on it so looked it up on line. Turns out it worth $119!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's another chilly morning here in central Indy with a temp of 51 degree's right now. It looks like we will top out in the low 70's later today. I'm pretty sore today. Two days of bending at weird angles to work on my neighbors van is catching up to me. I'm not as limber as I used to be. I'm also exhausted because my friend called me at 5:30am to tell me to turn on the news. For the second time in 2 years, one of the cabins at the boy scout camp we were worked at was on fire. I don't know what's going on up there. The only thing we ever had catch fire was a dumpster when somebody threw hot coals from a grill into it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning. Another nice weather day but not as cool as yesterday. Looking for a high of 70 after having a low of 50 this morning. We again slept with our bedroom windows open and woke up to 61 in the house. It is neat to lay in bed and hear the sounds around our home at night; owls, coyotes, etc.

We are praying for all those with health issues. Our local "Relay for Life" chapter is selling t-shirts that simply say "Cancer Sucks". We don't normally use that phrase but I had to buy one in honor of my mom. (Relay for Life raises $ to fight cancer).

Well my sil's surgery is scheduled to start in 5 minutes. I have had butterflies all morning! My niece just called wondering if I had heard anything. Lol! I told her it wasn't supposed to be until 11...I guess everybody is just worried. I'm trying not to stress eat!!! Why does a big bag of Doritos just seem to make you feel better...at least for a little bit??

EUREKA, THAT'S IT! i must be stress eating. hehehehe

I'm all fouled up with what day it is as well.... I ended up oversleeping this morning, I have no memory of the alarm clock going off and apparently, I shut it off and went back to sleep. I awoke, rolled over and looked at the alarm clock and it read 8:15, my first words of the day was, "OH _ _ _ _!".

I jumped out of bed, took the fastest shower I ever took in my life, made a cup of coffee, threw some leftovers in my lunchbag (come to think of it now, I hope it's leftovers...), called in and told them I will be late and bolted out the door...

One good thing about working here is that they are very flexible with their hours, they give you a grace period of an hour to get to work and if you cannot make it in by 9:00 am then they ask for you to call into the office to let them know what your doing...

I'm all messed up because I've been working sooooo much overtime in the past two weeks. this week alone, I have already 30 hours of OT on the books and by the end of day tomorrow I expect I'll have over 40 hours of OT....Whewwww... I need some coffee...

I have a good friend that's been going through a tough time the past few years, and she stopped having fun w/ the holidays. I've been trying to get her back into the spirit. Yesterday, I went into her office (I work w/ her) and she had Christmas music playing on Pandora! Yay, success!!! She even asked me to help her decorate her dollhouses (she collects them, along w/ miniatures) for Christmas! I'm so happy for her!!

My sister, Shannon, comes into town next Wednesday. I'm so excited! It'll be my last hurrah before "moving mode" kicks into gear. We are going to shop, go out to eat- a lot, go bowling, see some movies, and just hang out at the house w/ Harlowe. Should be a blast.

Well, I better get back to work. You guys always put a smile on my face, I'm so thankful for my MMC friends!

So far I'm still refusing to pay the extra $30 a month for data service. I have internet here at work all day, and all night at home. Hate to pay more money to have internet in the 1.5 miles between here and there!

Still, the apps are alluring. I need something to help me with my schedule. I'm always forgetting city meetings or family birthdays, etc. I need a scheduler like a smart phone can provide, but I don't need the data!

Well the fire at the boy scout camp this morning looks like it was arson. The dogs found traces of acceleratant around the site, so samples are being sent to the police lap. They also found 3 other cabins that had been vandalized and a vending machine that had been broken into.

Hey everybody! Work is grinding right along and I'm getting closer to daylight. Three more weeks....three more weeks....

Nice cool day here....went to eat with the family and I got the chance to go get a pumpkin spice latte and....

IT. WAS. GOOD. and on the way home...as I was drinking my pumpkin spice latte...

I listened to Christmas music for the first time since last year.

White Christmas....O' Christmas Tree....The First Noel....

almost made me shed a tear....and then I realized...

it's going to be that way for the next four months.

No matter how much I have heard all the old time worn carols, they are always so incredibly beaufitul each year when I hear them the first time of the Season. I always do shed a tear too !
