I love fall, the weather is still warm enough to go out without a jacket most times, not to hot and not to cold. The colors are already changing on the trees. And best of all it is the last season before winter and Christmas!!!

Thanks, Star. I will do my best not to overdo it. I made that mistake all throughout June and July. If I feel even the slightest pain now, I will stop whatever I am doing.

The colours are changing here, too. Although we only have about 20% (or less) change at the moment, some sights are beautiful!

Fall starts in my mind September 1.....no matter how warm it is...and fall weather has come early this year thank goodness.

This has been discussed I am sure, but I can't believe Hallmark is showing ads for their countdown to Christmas so soon but I do like it. BUT..the Wal-Mart layaway ads....ugh. They, like their ads last Christmas are just annoying, not Christmasy at all.....

It was really foggy this morning, but it's cleared up to a cool, sunny day. nice! Mom has more physical therapy today, then we'll have lunch. This afternoon Jacob goes to take his learner's license test...Lord help us all!

Good morning everyone!

I'm posting a little early. Happy final day of Summer! While some people will long for the warm summer days that have past, we all look forward to the true milestone of the year, Christmas! Hooray!

The weather forecast seems to have "fall" written all over it for the next few days. Temperatures are supposed to only hover in the the lower-to-mid teens (50s) and reach the lower 20s (60s) only once. No complaints here!

I have some decent news in regards to my knee. I had my final physio appointment yesterday evening. My physiotherapist was real impressed with my progress over the past couple weeks. I could complete all the exercises without any pain. Well, lunges gave me a little bit of pain, but that will subside soon. I have the green light to participate in warmups on Sunday and then warmups and a little bit of practice on Tuesday, followed by a full practice next Sunday. It's been a long journey. Now, I just have to hope for no setbacks. When it's all said and done, it will be over two months since I last practiced and just under two months since I lasted scrimmaged/played in a game. That's a long time for me!

No real plans for the weekend yet. Kim and I have some ideas, but we'll have to see if our friends are up for it. We haven't had a hangout weekend in quite some time, so I'm hoping the fun can return!

I remember those days of studying, but it will all pay off in the long run. Our Wal-Mart has quite a few Halloween things out. I really love the insulated cups that have Halloween themed "decorations" on them. The skull cups are cute, but I don't need anymore cups or mugs! It is hard to pass them by!

Holiday, I will continue to pray for Jackie and for your entire family. I hope that your sister and Jackie were both able to get a good night's sleep last night. Please keep us updated!

Thank goodness it is Friday, it has been a long week! I ran a few errands this week, and I am so excited that I found some Christmas decorations out to buy. However, I am a little disappointed that Walmart's decorations are stored up so high - put them down! My Walmart has been slacking. There were no Halloween things out except for candy and a couple of blow up yard decorations until only this week. When I shopped yesterday, the employees were rushing around and putting out costumes and decorations.

I have a couple of classes this morning, so sadly I have to already go and get ready for my day. I barely have time to catch up on posts anymore! I will do so as soon as I get home. I finished all of my assignments and studying early on in the week so I would be able to relax and enjoy my weekend.

Good morning everyone.

I glad to see summer end. Soon no more snakes, bugs, or weed-eating. We're starting to see bears again as they try to fatten up for winter. We are looking at highs in mid 70s & lows in lower 50s/upper 40s today and Saturday. But another cold front is due Sunday and we are forecast to have highs in mid 60's and lows in upper 30's for a few days. We may have to close our bedroom window. Now that is great early fall weather!

We continue to pray for all those experiencing health issues. My mom's pain level is gradually increasing. She now needs a cane to help walk. But she keeps going. She picked muskie dimes for over an hour yesterday.

Friday hello ... hoping to see some leaves turning color when I drive to the North Shore tomorrow. Also tomorrow, a radio station in Chicago will be featuring a half-hour interview with Gloria Jean, plus the radio version of one of her movies, "The Under-Pup." The show is on WDCB 90.9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Central time---I think Gloria's stuff is in the second hour. I haven't heard the interview, so I'm excited to hear it!

May run down to Brookline later tomorrow and see MIL's iPad---thinking of getting one, she's enjoying hers so much.

Oh...incoming text - Sis is at hospital with Jackie. "She will stay 1 more day for pain control. She will definately need home health care for wound vac. She is doing good overall & still has good attitude! No one brought her any food yet. That kind of stuff makes me crazy!"

So generally all sounds good! Hopefully she can keep that good attitude!!! Poor girl must be hungry!!!

Bosses are both gone today, so this has been a GOOD morning at work! :smile:
