Does anyone know where we were this time last year? The final count last year was 31,091.

Good Monday morning everyone. We had a nice weekend. Drove to Pigeon Forge, TN Saturday. Of course we had to walk through "The Incredible Christmas Place". (That's my side of the trade-off of spending most of the day shopping).

Great weather here. It was 38 when I left for work this morning and looking for a high in the low 60s.

Congratulations to Jacob! A learners permit is a big deal.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my mom. Dad & Mom spent the day at Pigeon Forge with us. She took her pain meds and kept going...

What a wonderful weekend!! Your Mom is a trooper. She is in my thoughts & prayers everyday!

BEST.
ATTITUDE.
EVER.

I was thinking the same thing!!

I was just text messaging Carl.......(How can he text?!) and he said there will be spooky gingerbread houses for all on wednesday!

I can't wait!! I've always wanted a spooky gingerbread house =]
Leave it to Carl to find them!!

Good afternoon!
We are soon ready for dinner.
(salmon burges today)

Just thought I would pop in to say Hi first!
Hi!

It's cold here today!
Had to use the Ice-scraper on the car windows!!!

Well, talk to you later! Hope the Monday is GOOD!! =]

Love

Good Morning/Evening, Solice!!

Enjoy your dinner, it sounds delicious!!

Stay warm, my friend! xo

I love this!! So fun!

:pumpkin:

You take such good care of yourself physically, that it won't be long before you are back in form!!!

Thank you. I'm doing my best!

Good day everyone! I got off to a late start, (stayed up late last night to watch the Ravens come back and beat the New England Patriots) and I am now just finally getting aroung to posting this morning.

We made a trip late satuday afternoon to Costco and they were in full Christmas mode... They had everything out that you cold imagine; from trees, wrapping paper, bows, toys, chocolates, etc... They had these 6' tall nutcrackers there for only $260+/- dollars each. I looked over at the wife, (with this I want one look) and she immediately said No!!! I next heard the following statement, "you got too much stuff already, in 13 years, I have not had a car in the garage...."! I played dumb, gave her the classic I don't know what she was talking about look; huhhhhhh????

I then looked over and saw that they had these pumpkin spiced pound cakes.... Ohhhhhh; now talk about tempting your tummy, somehow, "and I don't know just how that happened"; ahemmm, one of them found their way into the cart when we were checking out. Must of fell in there by mistake....."! lol!!! Oh boy, was that thing some kind of good, had a slice or two with a couple scoops of Moosetracks flavored Ice Cream later that night..... Oh baby....

This saturday we are heading out to look for a new Christmas tree, there is this really neat place in Hunt Valley, Maryland; called Valley View Farms. They are like a christmas wonderland and we are going to check them out first. Then I was telling the wife about what everyone keeps talking about here, called Hobby Lobby. I have to drive a good bit to get to one, but were going to check it out as well, (it will be our first time to visit one)!

Well, hope everyone has a good Monday, (Is there such a thing????)

That getting up at 5:30 am thing is starting to get to me. I see a nap in my future after dinner. Of course then I won't be able to sleep tonight. So maybe I'll just put another pot of coffee on and try to make it until 10.

Have fun tree hunting!! Valley View Farms sounds really neat.
You're going to love Hobby Lobby, too!! It's a really cool place, not just around Christmas (then it's especially awesome!) but for every holiday & they have just about every theme for decorating your house. Enjoy!!

Happy Monday to you, as well, xmastidings!!

Btw, what kind of tree are you looking for?

:sparkle:

what´s up my friends....my back has improved a lot since yesterday...I will start working again on Wednesday

.....To further add to the excitement, it is a safe bet that the Christmas Blossoms thread will be debuted this week! Possibly even today, as it was debuted on this date a year ago.....

Sorry, not today.

Cannot get out to Crabtree today but plan to do so tomorrow.
If "A Christmas To Remember" is open, I'll get photos and launch the thread.
If it is not, I'll have to make a decision whether to launch with the empty store front (which I had to do last year) or wait to the end of the week in hopes they will be be open by then.

Regardless. I WILL launch the thread before the end of the month so we can continue the tradition of a September start each year!

btw...I finally made it to 9000 posts...funny how it is only so "little"....since it only took me one year to post 5000....after that i fell into a christmas posting lumb :D

Thank you very much; Happy Monday to you as well! The more I keep hearing about Hobby Lobby, the more excited I am about going there.

We need to find a 6.5' tree for our basement. My basement ceiling is around 7'-8" tall and with the additional height of the tree stand, it does not leave too much room for the angel to go at the top of the tree.

Now a days, it seems like alot of the trees come pre-lit and I'm not so sure I want a pre-lit tree. Yes, I realize that it saves time, but I really enjoy and like to put the lights up myself and besides, I usually put around 650-800 multi colored lights on the tree, to really make it shine. As far as what type of tree, I have a fondness for either the Fraser, Balsam and Noble Fir type of Christmas trees....

Kim is watching the Academy Awards. I just arrived home from my first hockey game in nearly two years. I am exhausted! Unfortunately, we lost but it was our first game together as a team. Fun times. Have a great night everyone! A new week begins tomorrow.

Hopefully we will get to watch some NHL sometime this year.

Good chilly morning everyone!

Yes I was posting on the facebook page with QVC pictures. I'll post them here tonight when I get home. William and I put out the Halloween stuff Saturday afternoon! My neighbor has a pumpkin out too! We went to Costco yesterday and they have some Christmas stuff out. There were too many people to take pictures. They had Christmas cards, trees, wrapping paper, candies, Christmas tin boxes, Nativity scenes and yes, even chocolate Advent calendars. A little early for the chocolate Advent calendar but why not! Too bad I couldn't take pictures. It was very nice. I was clapping while my Wife was rolling her eyes saying "Yes yes we will get to that isle soon enough". hehe. Well better get back to work. Hope you all have a great day!

Get 3 or 4 Chocolate Advent Calenders and change the dates on some of them and start eating a chocolate a day 91 days out, it would be one really long Advent countdown. cheesy

Hello Everybody! Wow 91 days till Christmas and Autumn has officially started. Alot to clelebrate then!

i love that Christmas store. i'm sure it was beautiful. really wonderful that your mom & dad were able to go w/ y'all. my prayers are still w/ you & your family.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a BEAUTIFUL morning here! It started out in the lower 50's (unheard-of around here in September) with a light breeze and the sun is shining. Wow. I have all my office windows open, and I'm thinking of firing up my Mulled Cider candle. I was trying to wait until October, but I don't know if I can.

I let Jacob drive my truck (and me) all over creation this weekend. He's never been really interested in driving the golf cart or 4-wheeler or anything like that before, but now I think we've created a driving monster. LOL

He and I worked on his hunting area yesterday, using the tractor to harrow are get ready for planting next week. I love driving my Dad's tractor. It feels like he's right there with me. Strange, I know, but he loved driving that tractor, and he loved that hunting plot.

I gotta get some things done. I hope y'all have a great day!

congratulations to Jacob!!! hold on Daddy!
